Photo by @krisannejohnson: “This image of Jazz and Roqui was taken near the corner of the elevated 2, 5 NYC subway tracks at Westchester Ave and Southern Blvd in the Bronx. I spent one year as a Photo Urbanism Fellow with Design Trust for Public Space (@designtrustnyc) documenting life under and around the elevated infrastructure of NYC. The city has nearly 700 miles of elevated infrastructure for cars, trucks, and trains. I love to incorporate light flare into my frames and in this moment it was perfect to highlight the elevated tracks behind them adding a layer of depth to the image.”
