THURSDAY TIGERS
Meet Machali, the Queen Mother of Tigers.
One of the most photographed tigers in the world, Machali lived in the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve in Western India. Though tigresses generally have 2 or 3 litters, Machali had 4 liters over 7 years. With 11 cubs, Machali contributed significantly to the wild tiger population in her home which grew in number from 15 tigers in 2004 to 50 tigers in 2014.
