Having photographed the sister’s wedding a few years earlier, and knowing the relationship of the family, and the nature of post-wedding speech emotions, I was absolutely ready for this moment before it happened. I chose a 135mm lens so I wouldn’t be obtrusive in the moment, but instead sneak in on it, and at 2.0 blur out all of the distractions behind them.
