“This was one of my first shots of the new year, having been sick for the past few weeks, so I figured a windy, winter day at Lake Tahoe would be a good first capture. However, since I hadn’t been out for awhile, I was a bit rusty. While I was setting up and readjusting my tripod, I forgot that my wireless remote was in my hand (I was also wearing gloves, so I didn’t have that tactile feeling of the remote in my hand). As I moved a leg, the remote just slipped out of my grip, crashed with a delicate sound of a nearby boulder, then splashed helplessly into the waves of Lake Tahoe. I did give a dramatic ‘noooooo!’ as it happened, but it was a lost cause. I did however manage to snap this shot, which I think makes up for it. Of course, I had to use a 2-second timer at that point, but it’s all good.” #MyCanonStory
