This bison laid down to rest, parallel and within 20ft of my vehicle. The bison was so close, I carefully rolled my window down, set my beanbag on the window ledge, and focused a 600mm lens with 2x teleconverter on the bison’s eye. The image is not cropped at all, and the clarity and detail is amazing considering the combination used to record the image. The bison is very dark and it was a gloomy overcast day, so a high ISO was necessary to eke out a barely useable shutter speed for 1200mm.” Camera: #Canon EOS 5D Mark IV
