Clients have no reason to hire you if you’re making pictures they can easily get from someone else. As the tour photographer for a country superstar, I use my access to set up remote cameras in various locations, just like I did when I covered sporting events. I occasionally attach one to a lighting truss while our crew is setting it up on the ground. The camera (and safety cable!) raises into the air with the lights, and I never quite know exactly what I’m going to get. On this night in Sacramento, the lighting hit just the at right moment to create an interesting shadow. It’s safe to say I’m the only one who made an image like this.” Camera: #Canon EOS 5D Mark IV
