Huaguoyuan Community in Guiyang, China is a massive 500,000 population apartment complex that feels like a city inside a neighborhood. Some people even say there are more people living here than in some small countries. What used to be the largest slum in China has been completely transformed into a modern mega-district filled with high-rise towers, urban infrastructure, and endless streets of food and local life.
This enormous concrete forest covers around 10 square kilometers and contains over 200 high-rise residential buildings, many of them around 43 floors tall. During peak times, the population can reach close to 1 million people, making Huaguoyuan one of the densest urban residential complexes in the world.

    I watched out of interest but wow I couldnt go there, impressive to see but o so dystopian even though many people seemed very friendly and nice but for sure it has a dark side with the massage things and the dark corners. Great video though, take care of yourself also!

    As a Hong Kong guy, I feel like It is more exaggerated than Hong Kong, these tall buildings just made me stressful, I would rather live a big house like the US

    4:33 Yes – there are many buildings in California cities that look like that – not so much street level – but 2nd story up. Also – you will NEVER EVER – in any state/city in the U.S. for $10 a night. Like – even 50 years ago – $25 might have been a deal – but! That room for that price is wild.
