that's the thing i hate about tokyo…its like… when you're in the "rich" residential area… it still looks like crap IMO. regardless if you're looking at houses or condo's …they just look like crap.
go to a 'rich' area in Vancouver or Toronto.. its high-end glass towers or mansions (yes i'm talking about right the city, not even in the suburbs ). You might see something truly luxury in tokyo in like 1/ 100 apartment buildings… the rest just look so MID from the outside.

AFAIK, most of international schools gaijin/Japanese rich kids/their parents frequent membership type clubs, exclusive restaurants,fashionista boutiques similar. Of course, exclusive sports clubs = golf clubs, marina membership clubs.
I knew it was a rich area since when I was looking at condos there they are over a million USD for 1LDK to start.
