We had a traditional local “Ryukyu” (Okinawan) dinner at Reir (レイール), a restaurant in Southern Beach Hotel & Resort Okinawa (サザンビーチホテル＆リゾート沖縄), located in Itoman City on the main island of Okinawa (沖縄県糸満市). It was not fancy and was only decent – the meal even included the staple of many tropical and subtropical islands: Spam.
