Edible Towel 🤯~Japanese konjac transformation #vlogjapan #madeinjapan
A towel… you can eat? 🤯
This unusual towel is made from konjac, a plant used in Japan to make a jelly-like food.
Its unique structure is full of tiny air pockets, which makes it super soft on the skin and incredibly absorbent.
It’s often called an “edible towel,” but that doesn’t mean it’s meant to be eaten😅 The name simply means the ingredients are safe enough that it wouldn’t be harmful if accidentally ingested. Eating it is not recommended.
What makes this story even better is where it comes from.
This product is made in a small rural town in Taka town Hyogo, Japan, by a tiny team — the company’s president, one employee, and five part-time staff. They only started about a year ago, but the idea has already attracted a lot of attention!
🛍️Product name: Glossy Konjac Fresh Towel つやの子 こんにゃく 生タオル
This wasn’t a sponsored video. I visited them personally, almost like a field trip, because I thought their idea was fascinating and worth sharing!
If you’d try using this towel, let me know in the comments🙌
