まるで桜と菜の花の海！春爛漫の桑田山雪割り桜の里, 高知 四国/ 牧野公園のバイカオウレン満開
こんにちは Life in Shikoku です。久しぶりに高知県へ遠出して、雪割り桜と春の草花を見に行きました。
まず、須崎市桑田山地区「雪割り桜の里」へ。蟠蛇森（ばんだがもり 770m）の中腹にあり、約1,000本の雪割り桜が植えられています。雪割り桜は、正式名称は「ツバキカンザクラ」（椿寒桜）。2月中旬から3月中旬頃の、寒い時期に咲く珍しい桜です。満開の雪割り桜と菜の花の風景はとても美しく、多くの花見客を引き付けていました。この風景を、一緒に楽しんで頂けたら嬉しいです。
次に、植物学者の牧野富太郎博士の出身地 佐川町へ。牧野博士ゆかりの植物が多く植栽された、牧野公園を訪れました。牧野博士がこよなく愛したバイカオウレンの群生が満開を迎えていました。梅に似た白い可憐な花が、一面に咲き誇っていました。その他の可愛い山野草や、早咲きの桜を散策して回り、癒されました。
Hello, we are Life in Shikoku. We took a day trip to Kochi Prefecture for the first time in a while to see Yukiwarizakura (early cherry blossoms) and spring flowers.
First, head to “Yukiwarizakura no Sato” in Sodayama district, Susaki City. Located midway up Mt. Bandagamori (770m), it features approximately 1,000 Yukiwarizakura trees. The official name of Yukiwarizakura is “Prunus x ‘Introrsa'” (Tsubaki Kanzakura). It’s a rare cherry blossom that blooms during the cold season, from mid-February to mid-March. The scenery of the Yukiwarizakura in full bloom alongside canola flowers was incredibly beautiful, attracting many flower-viewing visitors.
Next, to Sakawa Town, the birthplace of botanist Dr. Tomitaro Makino. We visited Makino Park, where many plants associated with Dr. Makino are planted. A colony of Coptis quinquefolia, which Dr. Makino dearly loved, was in full bloom. Delicate white flowers, resembling plum blossoms, were blooming everywhere. We strolled among other lovely wildflowers and early-blooming cherry trees, feeling deeply soothed. We would be happy if you could enjoy this scenery with us.

雪割り桜、本当にお見事ですね。ピンクの桜と黄色い菜の花が織りなす『春爛漫』の景色に、画面越しですがすっかり目を奪われました。
