  1. Sendai, the largest city in the Tohoku region of Japan, is not only famous for its beautiful natural scenery but also for its unique culture, long history and delicious food.

  2. Gonna have to check these out for sure! Im about to move to osaki right outside of sendai so ill be taking some weekend trips here 😎

  3. How do you find the tour in the sake brewery?
    The bar is now self-service.
Would love to take the tour.

  4. Hirohiko Araki, the author of "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure", is from this city and is also the model for part 4 "Diamond Is Unbreakable".

In the story of part 4, the setting city is "M Prefecture S City Morioh town", which comes from the initials of "Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture".

In addition, there are place names in Sendai City, such as "Kakyoin" and "Hirose", which are also the names of JoJo characters.

If you are a Jojo fan, it is one of the places you should definitely visit in Japan.

  5. Really good suggestions, but I would not recommend any zoos or aquariums in Japan as 9 times out of 10 they don't really have the animals' best interest in mind, and the animals are sad, sick, and/or don't have enough space because laws in Asia that protect animals are pretty much nonexistent compared to Europe and North America. Especially if they do shows that force animals to do tricks, or opportunities to hug wild animals, it's a big red flag. Same with animal cafes – just please be aware that these places are businesses for making money and they often completely disregard animals' needs (for example: owl cafes where owls – nocturnal animals – are forced to be awake all day and interact with customers without even being able to retreat and hide).
