$64 JR Hotel Review: INSIDE the Station! 🚉 0-Min Walk (Tokyo Tachikawa)
Experience staying INSIDE a train station in Tokyo! 🚉 In this video, I stayed at “JR East Hotel Mets Tachikawa,” located in one of Tokyo’s most desirable neighborhoods consistently ranked top by locals.
Renovated in February 2025, this hotel isn’t just “near” the station—it’s literally built inside it! With a 0-minute walk from the ticket gate and prices starting at just $64 (9,900 Yen), you can enjoy a stylish, Nordic-modern space with the ultimate convenience.
For dinner, I treated myself to incredible “Meat Sushi” (Wagyu) from a butcher-run restaurant. For breakfast, I had traditional “Ochazuke” (rice with tea/dashi) at the legendary Yamamotoyama, a shop with over 300 years of history. I also took a spiritual morning walk to Suwa Shrine, a power spot with 1,200 years of tradition. This stay perfectly captures the balance between urban energy and relaxing nature that makes Tachikawa so special.

What brand are the Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Soap? ❤
Симпатичный номер😊
This suite is pretty much looks like some of the hotels you visited before, I love a good size of table, large TV, Especially the view, it is just so connected to the street and railway! But the bed would be a bit cramped for 2 people, and to large for single, would someone tell me, is it the standard double bed in Japan?
Furthermore, for computer check-in, do hotels provide English option normally? It would be really difficult if foreigners unable to read Japanese.
Suwa Shrine feels so peaceful to be in.
My wife and I just spent 5 nights there in January. We stayed in a “residential” style room. This is a great hotel with a wonderful staff. Thanks for visiting this location and showing everyone a bit of what Tachikawa has to offer!
Staying "Inside the Station" in Tachikawa was such a vibe! 🚉Zero travel time, amazing hospitality, and incredible food (Wagyu Sushi & Yamamotoyama). Tachikawa is definitely a local favorite for a reason.

Back in the 1960’s when I was a child, I lived on the U.S. Air Base in Tachikawa.
Thank you coming again
Looks like a great barrier free stay to me! Even the meat sushi restaurant looks doable to me!
