The winter scenery of Senjojiki Cirque was breathtaking under the deep blue sky!
Today I went to Senjojiki Cirque in Komagane City, Nagano Prefecture for the first time.
After just an hour by bus and ropeway, I was transported to another world.
The weather was great, and I even got a view of Mt. Fuji.
It’s incredibly accessible!
I recommend visiting Senjojiki Cirque in winter, as well as the classic summer and autumn seasons.

秋が余りにも有名すぎますが、冬の千畳敷も絶景。登山される方も列をなして結構いますね🏔️
日本一高度まで登るロープウェイ、とは知りませんでした😅

When I first lived in Japan, I used to get very confused by funiculars being called cable cars, and cable cars being called ropeways. That said, as a 71 year old with a hip that no longer allows me to do mountain hikes, I have found ropeways/cable cars a great way to see wonderful mountain views in Japan without risking life and limb. The Shin Hotaka Ropeway is beautiful at any time. Last year we did the Tanigawadake Tenjindaira Ropeway in May, and the views were also stunning – it's an easy day trip from Tokyo. Thanks to this video, I have now added the Komagatake Ropeway to the list of places to go on a future trip. Also, I do love a good ソースカツ丼. Thanks as always for a great video.
