To be honest, I know this might sound a bit counterintuitive. You should probably thank those people who spare no effort to smear China. It’s precisely because they’ve been smearing China day and night that the current situation exists — Chinese hotels are telling you, “You can stay one night for free, as long as you report honestly.”
(The subtext is: we’ve really been smeared to the point of having no choice. As long as there’s someone willing to tell the truth, we’re already grateful.)
