Newfoundland: Canada’s Most Wild & Stunning Island – First Part * Discover Canada series

Newfoundland: Canada’s Most Wild & Stunning Island – Part One
is a documentary journey into one of Canada’s most remote, rugged, and visually striking regions. Shaped by the North Atlantic, this island stands at the edge of a continent, where dramatic coastlines, harsh weather, and raw nature have defined life for centuries.

More than a landscape film, this story is carried by the voices of the people who call Newfoundland home. Through intimate interviews with locals — fishermen, historians, and community members — the film reveals the island’s past and present from the perspective of those most deeply connected to it. Their personal stories offer rare insight into a place where survival, tradition, and identity remain closely tied to the land and the sea.

This first chapter invites viewers to discover Newfoundland not as a destination, but as a living, evolving world — one shaped by resilience, isolation, and an enduring bond between people and nature.

  4. Lol yeah ….you hear that immigrants, don't come to b.c and definitely not Vancouver Island. Newfoundland is way better.

  5. New'fin-LAND .. 😐 the video is GREAT!!! but that narrator voice can not get the speak of the name wrong. That's hard to take, considering our history and cultural erosion along the way. Call the Island by how a Newfinlander calls her 🤝 I really enjoyed the video. Aside from that. It throws ya right out the back door each time

  6. Hello fellow Newfoundlanders and Labradorians. I love this beautiful province we have. One of the last clean nature parts on the earth. If you ever come to the Gros Morne Area, I could show you some good filming locations.
