Tokyo is overwhelming so i wish i had this day plan before going on our trip.
Morning:
Wake up bright and early and take the train to the cat temple also called Gรตtokuji Temple. This was only a 200 yen train ride and was one of our favourite temples and had the cutest lucky cat figurines everywhere.
The little town it is in is very chill and cute too.
Breakfast
Make sure to stop at 711 for breakfast as they are amazing in Japan and have everything! Lawsons and Family Mart are very similar too!
Afternoon:
Head back into town and go to Shibuya for lunch. We went to a conveyor belt sushi place called Katsu Seibu and it was incredible and fairly priced. Plates started at $150 yen.
Walk across Shibuya crossing which is the busiest crosswalk in the world. Then head up to our secret viewing point on the 17th floor of the Shibuya Scramble tower. There is a coffee shop here with amazing views that are free and I bought the best matcha latte of my trip here! It is a bit tricky to find, but it is worth it.
Then head over to Mocha cat cafe to hang with the cutest cats ever. There are tons of animal cafes in Tokyo and we made sure to pick one where they treated the animals really well! Look at him!
Evening:
Head to Shinjuku. This is a great area to shop and go out at night. Here you will find the iconic godzilla and some crazy 3d billlboards. Then walk around the Golden Gai bar area and Omiode Yokocho then head back to your hotel. We stayed at Shiba Park hotel which was in a great location!
