  3. That was very enjoyable. Thank you for narrating your adventure. I use to have a steam 🚂🚃🚃 train come past my property every year, but since they sold the tracks they stopped the site seeing train. I hope you get to do it again next year. 🌸🙏❣️🌸 ✌️

  4. What an amazing train trip. The snow only makes it more beautiful. I am always impressed by the kindness of Japanese people. very nice video Yuriko

  5. Yuriko-san, I wanted to watch only the beginning of your video, but couldn’t stop until the end. Thank you!

In my city, in Germany, there is a club of train enthusiasts. They own a real steam locomotive that is more than 100 years old. Few times a year they organise steam train ride. So I can really understand your excitement! 😊

  6. Your enjoyment and excitement in this video is infectious. I don’t think your smile cracked once! There’s something very special about a steam engine in the cold. They come alive in a way that they don’t in warmer weather. The smell of burning coal and hot oil is unique. I really hope that these steam powered trains keep running long into the future. Where I live in the UK, there are a number of projects running to build new versions of engines that didn’t escape the scrap man’s torch in the 1960s. Personally, I’m working on a project to recreate something similar to the very first successful diesel electric locomotive built in 1947. The point being, you really can make parts new, if you have to. I hope I get to Japan to see it for myself in the future.

  7. Hi Jurichan,

the steam train trip was great. Nice report. As a little boy I rode the last steam train in 1975 in the Czech Republic 🙂 . The stove in the carriage fascinates me. In the Czech Republic the carriages were heated by steam pipes from the locomotive. The landscape in Hokkaido is similar to where I live.

The steam train I rode was called Albatros, it had a speed record of 162km/h and its wheels were as big as a person's height and it weighed 113 tons. It was a monster on the tracks and when it reached full speed I was scared :-).

  8. So good. I love the look of absolute delight on Yurichan's face. The Kushiro trip was really special.

  11. Your videos are always fantastic! I hope to be in Japan right after golden week. I've entered the lottery for a Band Maid ticket for May 10, 2026 okyuji. If I am able to come to Japan at this time I would like to book a Kamakura tour with you!

  12. thank you for both english captions and japanese subtitles!

  13. fabulous. this has become my favorite Yuriko video. thank you for sharing. The idea of tours is fantastic. I'd do it in a heartbeat, but am unable to travel.

  14. I lived in Czech republic 1960s and we had steam trains everywhere back then 😂 used to call them stinky smokies

  15. That looked like a fun trip! Thanks for sharing with us, Yuriko san 😊

  16. Yurichan looks soooo excited and didn’t stop smiling the whole video 😊. Thank you for bringing us along for the trip. Hokkaido looks so beautiful.

  17. Hello Yurichan 👋 I love this video and looking forward to more travel stories. I also found a channel you might enjoy it's called seaman bike & life vlog. She was riding in Hokaido and there was a snow clearing steam train on display that was very impressive. ✌️❤️

  18. This trip was meant to be. If you would have skipped this opportunity and the trains were retired, it would have been a shame. Thank you, Yuriko, for sharing these exceptional views through your cameras. One can only imagine what wonders you'll show us on your next adventure to Kushiro, Hokkaido.

  19. As everyone says, your smile makes this video extra fun to watch. Using the 360 camera was a good choice! Please don't die tomorrow!
