Pan Matas powiedział, że niektóre kraje podjęły działania w związku z przymusowym pobieraniem narządów przez Komunistyczną Partię Chin. Kanada i Wielka Brytania uchwaliły przepisy zakazujące obywatelom udziału w transgranicznych przeszczepach narządów. Wspomniał, że Wielka Brytania przyjęła nowelizację ustawy o tkankach ludzkich w 2022 r. i wprowadziła w 2024 r. rozporządzenie nakładające na pielęgniarki transplantacyjne obowiązek zgłaszania rządowi pacjentów, którzy brali udział w turystyce transplantacyjnej.
Ponadto Europa posiada traktat: Konwencję Rady Europy o zwalczaniu handlu narządami ludzkimi, którą ratyfikowało 15 krajów.
Podczas podróży do Australii pan Matas wziął udział w dorocznej konferencji Stowarzyszenia Pielęgniarek Transplantacyjnych, która odbyła się w Brisbane w dniach 23 i 24 października. Skorzystał z okazji, aby poinformować środowisko medyczne o raporcie australijskiego parlamentu z 2018 roku pt. „Współczucie, nie handel: dochodzenie w sprawie handlu narządami ludzkimi i turystyki transplantacyjnej”. Wezwał również Australię do pójścia w ślady Wielkiej Brytanii i uchwalenia przepisów mających na celu gromadzenie informacji o pacjentach uczestniczących w zagranicznej turystyce transplantacyjnej.
W raporcie stwierdzono, że istnieją liczne dowody na to, że Komunistyczna Partia Chin w przeszłości wykorzystywała narządy od straconych więźniów bez ich zgody. Istnieją również dowody na to, że chińskie środki przymusu i naruszenia praw człowieka nadal trwają, a mogą się nawet nasilać.
W sierpniu 2024 roku australijski Senat uchwalił nową ustawę mającą na celu ograniczenie nielegalnego handlu narządami – Migration Amendment (Overseas Organ Transplant Disclosure and Other Measures) Bill 2024. Nowa ustawa nakłada na wszystkie osoby wjeżdżające do Australii obowiązek ujawnienia, czy w ciągu ostatnich pięciu lat otrzymały przeszczep narządu poza Australią, wypełniając kartę pasażera. Osoby, które otrzymały przeszczep narządu, muszą podać nazwę placówki medycznej, która go wykonała, a także miasto i kraj, w którym znajduje się placówka.
Ustawa została po raz pierwszy wprowadzona i zakończyła pierwsze czytanie w Izbie Reprezentantów Australii 21 sierpnia 2024 roku, ale automatycznie straciła moc po rozwiązaniu parlamentu 28 marca 2025 roku, dwa miesiące przed wyborami powszechnymi.
Pan Matas powiedział, że Australia nie ma żadnych kontroli nad pacjentami podróżującymi za granicę w celu przeszczepu narządów ani żadnych wymogów dotyczących zgłaszania przy wjeździe. Dzięki temu zamożni Australijczycy mogą podróżować za granicę w celach turystyki transplantacyjnej i kupować organy bez ponoszenia odpowiedzialności prawnej. Dodał, że chociaż pacjenci po przeszczepie wymagają leków zapobiegających odrzutom, zasada poufności między lekarzem a pacjentem utrudnia ujawnienie istotnych informacji w przypadku braku jasnych przepisów lub zasad.

I can't believe there are British people who are so afraid of the cold. And your clothes are probably all made of polyester fiber, which is basically plastic, and they don't provide much insulation against the cold. Here, you need clothes with real wool, duck down, or goose down filling. That way you won't need to wear so many layers. Also, that jacket has two zippers; you can zip the lower one up to your waist to make climbing stairs easier.

Harbin city has a terrible history of European & Japanese colonialism ( Unit 731 ). Imperial Japan invaded this city & set up Unit 731 where they used to do human experiments on native Chinese people. Pretty horrific stuff, Google Unit 731.
