長野のアウトドアカルチャーの入り口、「GO NATURE GO NAGANO」。
この動画シリーズでは、長野県の大自然が提供する豊かなアウトドアアクティビティを、各地域で活躍するローカルヒーローのインタビューと共に紹介します。
今回紹介するのは長野県内を一周するサイクルルート「Japan Alps Cycling Road」。
ローカルヒーローは、そのルート設定に尽力する鈴木雷太さん、小口良平さん。
鈴木雷太
1995年からブリヂストンサイクル株式会社とプロ契約をし、2007年まで13年間プロマウンテンバイク選手として活躍。
シドニー五輪日本代表、2度の日本チャンピオンとアジア選手権優勝などの成績を残し2007年に引退。
引退後はナショナルチーム監督として、日本代表チーム運営の中でプロ活動経験を活かし、後輩たちの育成を行う。2020東京オリンピックでも日本代表チームの指揮をとった。
普段は松本市新橋にあるBIKE RANCHの経営を軸に、松本平を中心とした長野県の素晴らしい観光資源と可能性を、スポーツバイシクルを通じて世界に向けて発信中。サイクリングイベント『アルプスあづみのセンチュリーライド』実行委員長をはじめ、数々のサイクリングイベントプロデューサーとアンバサダーを務める。
2019年からはジャパンアルプスサイクリングプロジェクトの代表に就任し、官民一体で自転車による長野県の観光振興と自転車に優しい道路整備に寄与する活動を行っている。
小口良平
自転車冒険家、grav bicycle station代表。1980年生まれ、長野県岡谷市出身。2007年に1年かけて日本1周の自転車旅を達成後、2009年から約7年半をかけて世界を走破した。訪ねた国は157カ国、走行距離は約16万kmにも及ぶ。帰国後は、長野県辰野町に移住してgrav bicycle stationを起業。現役のツアーガイドとしてサイクルツーリズムの現場に立ち会う一方で、まちづくりサイクルアドバイザーとして、マップ作成や観光商品開発、環境整備にも取り組んでいる。

Open the door, step out of your room, and dive into the entrance of Nagano’s outdoor culture.
The gateway to Nagano’s outdoor culture, “GO NATURE GO NAGANO.”
This video series introduces the rich outdoor activities offered by Nagano Prefecture’s stunning natural landscapes, featuring interviews with local heroes who are active in each region.
This time, we introduce the cycling route “Japan Alps Cycling Road,” which circles Nagano Prefecture.
The local heroes featured are Raita Suzuki and Ryohei Oguchi, who have dedicated themselves to setting up this route.
Raita Suzuki
Raita Suzuki has been active as a professional mountain bike rider for 13 years, having signed a contract with Bridgestone Cycle Co., Ltd. in 1995 and retiring in 2007. He represented Japan at the Sydney Olympics and won two national championships and the Asian Championships. After retiring, he became the national team coach, utilizing his experience as a professional to develop the next generation of riders, and led the Japanese national team at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Currently, he manages BIKE RANCH in Shinbashi, Matsumoto City, and promotes the wonderful tourism resources and potential of Nagano Prefecture to the world through sports bicycles, primarily in the Matsumoto Plain. He serves as the chairman of the Alps Azumino Century Ride and works as a producer and ambassador for various cycling events.
Since 2019, he has been serving as the representative of the Japan Alps Cycling Project, working in collaboration with both public and private sectors to promote tourism in Nagano Prefecture through cycling and contribute to the development of bike-friendly roads.
Ryohei Oguchi
Ryohei Oguchi is a bicycle adventurer and the representative of Grav Bicycle Station. Born in 1980 in Okaya City, Nagano Prefecture, he completed a year-long cycling journey around Japan in 2007 and then spent about seven and a half years from 2009 traversing the world by bike. He visited 157 countries and covered approximately 160,000 km. After returning to Japan, he moved to Tatsuno Town, Nagano Prefecture, and established Grav Bicycle Station. As an active tour guide, he participates in the field of cycle tourism, while also working as a community-building cycle advisor, creating maps, developing tourism products, and improving the environment.
