I noticed that some hotels are located within the old town, like Huawushuang Garden Homestay in Lijiang. Are vehicles allowed to go in or are you expected to drop off at the perimeter and have to walk in all the way with luggage?
Thanks for the video. May I know if you rented a car to stay overnight in Feilai? Also what is the name of hotel you stayed in Feilai and what is there do do at Feilai apart from viewing the Meili Mountain?

May I ask? Sometimes you say Monastery and others you say Lamastery. Is the latter the name used by the Lamas?
Great video. My wife and I just booked a tour to Shangri-La, Dali and Lijiang from Saigon for this October and we are very much looking forward to it. I know that this area is not the Tibet more familiar but with Shangri-La being located in a Tibetan Autonomous Region and populated with many possibly majority Tibetans we like to think we are visiting Tibet!
