Snow Walk to Edge of Wakasa Town | Tottori, Japan
Winter walk with snow through small town to forest temple in Tottori, Japan. I was looking for areas with snow for a morning walk with a winter feel and I found this small town of Wakasa with its forested temple just outside of town and flowing canals within. I arrived a little later than I was anticipating as I was distracted by a beautiful sunrise over misty snow covered mountains just a few minutes outside of town. I pulled over to grab those few aerial shots in the intro, and was tempted to just walk there, but ultimately I decided to go with my scouted plan and head to Wakasa. There were some beautiful little villages in the mountains around the town though and I suspect I will be inspired to pass through this area again. I hope your new year is off to a nice start 🙂

About the late start…do it more often! There's a lot to be said for shafts of sunlight through the trees. It's so hard to see details in low light. I really appreciate your hard work.

Just found your channel. Walks in Japan are my favorites. I definitely love to see smaller towns and snow walks.
Lovely town. I will never understand why people are leaving these areas for Tokyo or big cities. I mean I know it's for work, money and convenience but still. Too bad Japan doesn't try to revitalize more the countryside.
