究極のオアフ島サイミンツアー2026
Join me with some special guests as we travel around the island of Oahu to hit up all the main spots for saimin. Saimin is a simple noodle soup dish created in Hawai’i from different cultures during the plantation days. It is now a popular dish to eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Happy New Year, Misty! 🥳Fantastic work putting together this collaboration with so many notable guests. Great to see and hear about all the different saimin places and how they differ. Are you saimin'd out? lol. Would love to hear some of yr music. It would be a great treat. Please consider 👍🙏💕
Aloha Misty, loved this video. lived in Hawaii back in the mid 60's when my dad worked for MIT on Hickam. fell in love with saimin when we lived there. now stuck in Mass.. try to get back to the islands every couple of years and we make it a point to go to Palace a couple of times when we're there. also enjoy Shige's but Palace is our favorite. beef sticks are awesome, but could never get into mixing the mustard and shoyu. alway's watch your videos and make me want to hop on a plane. have messaged you before, keep up the great work. thank you.
🙂 WOW ! THANKS MUCH and SO glAD to see Charles as well 🙂 KUDOS to BOTH of you and have a GREAT New Year ! ! ! !
I wasn't impressed with Tanakas. I do like Shiros and Zippys saimin. Im like you, lots of pepper. I like alot of g. onions and choy sum. My mustard mix gotta be strong. My brother says I like a little shoyu with my mustard 😉😄All these collabs were awesome. Love them all. Now I like eat saimin🍜🤙🤦♀️
Hau'oli Makahikihou Misty and Aiden 🙏♥️Hugs
If a saimin place has French fries I’ll always order them and toss them in the bowl to absorb the broth.
happy aloha ny friday!! 🤙🏾
Aloha Misty , The saimin collab was great ! An Aussie take when the soup had wontons and and long noodles is what I would call “Short and Long Combination Soup” 😋
That moment when Charles dipped his Cheeseburger in the broth , he was brave ! That is something I would pass LOL
Cheers Rod and Gemma 🤙
Another excellent vid.proud to say i ate saimin at all of those places.
This just isn't great. It's 9:27pm and I am now hungry for Saimin. LOL. Thanks Food Fiend. haha. Whoops there went my stomach growling.
“Not a big Saimin eater”? “Not a big won ton eater”? “It’s a thing to dip the cheese burger into the Saimin broth”? Where did d this guy come from??? 😂 straight clown action! 🤡
Wow Starr ❤ I’ve played music for her, her uncle and her family since the early 90’s. So cool to see her on your channel.
Should’ve told Marissa, “Dip your BBQ cheeseburger in da broth” 🙄
I have such fond memories of Jane’s Fountain from when I was a kid. Saimin was saimin, didn’t have an opinion way back when, but I ate everything, so must’ve been good. Just really nice family memories there.
Thanks for sharing! Gotta go check some of these out. I miss Kinau Saimin…. $4.00 for a saimin, $6.00 for wonton mein and bbq sticks for 65¢!
Good video! My favorite saimin is Zippy's zipmin.
Woohooo!!! Aloha Misty! Watched you in 2020 and here I am in your video!! Mahalo for inviting me and I enjoyed Shiro's Saimin!! So awesome to see the rest of your guest and proud to say that you guys are my friends!! Look forward to another collab in 2026!!🤗🤙👍🍜
Oh, oh, oh! My all-time fave dish on the planet. My Last Supper meal. My comfort food to the Max!! I like the curly noodles and the local flavored soup broth, not too shoyu-ee but more shrimp, bonito, kombu dashi. You know when the wonton is freshly made by the quality of the wonton wrap. Oh yeah!! you gotta dip them in the hot mustard and shoyu and make your nose sizzle!!! @AuthenticallyCharles was funny! Loved seeing Sean Kaleponi. I wanted to scoop up all the overflow from your Coke float. yeah, I like those places with that have only saimin, wontonmin, and bbq stick and the toppings only charsiu, green onions, and local kamaboko like Palace Saimin. Palace Saimin totally brings back the nostalgia, taste-wise, curly noodle, unique broth flavor, ono kine fresh wontons, so ono bbq stick made simply, but bbq-ee flava. This is my Last Supper wontonmin of all times. Haha!! What a super ono saimin tour. Mahalo Misty.
Oh yeah, black pepper and Tabasco in saimin ftw!
Palace Saimin all the way. Simple and nostalgic is all I need. Wonton min with side BBQ sticks. 🤙
This took a lot of work to make this video.
Thank you for sharing.
Wow! This was a cool video. 🤙
I'm with Charles when it comes to Saimin. I don't hate it, but I don't crave it either. It's just not flavorful to me. Lastly, I'm not a fan of sweet meat either. So teriyaki beef is not my jam.
My earliest memory of saimin is Shiro’s! But a zip min (shrimp on the side) always hits the spot!
I love what Starr Kalahiki said about you and it’s 💯 true!
This is the AVENGERS of local foodie videos!
Thank you for this saimin tour. It was fun to watch. My in-laws always ordered saimin while I avoided it. I will have to try. Palace sounds like the favorite. 🍜
fun video my fav place is shiges in wahiawa i always have won ton min with a bbq burger
Awesome video! 👏👍 Happy New Year! 🤙
Oh lets see those modern band videos
Palace all day
It is a good to see the inside of restaurants in your videos. The restaurant is part of the dining experience along with the food. I also enjoy hearing the backgrounds of these restaurants. Thanks for one of your best videos.
This was soo homesick, I miss all these places and love all,of them. And to add Forty Niners for nostalgia and Palace. Don’t think that Washington Saimin is still around. For me, the closest place over here in SoCal is 2-3 hrs away at Gardena Bowl to get a dose of ‘local kine’ and surprisingly always comes full of locals.
"Wet Buns in the Mouth" – priceless!
Great video Misty! I’m from Kalihi too, so Palace is where it’s at. And I feel like we need to see your musical prowess in an upcoming video.
I saw food fiend a couple of months ago at Alicia's in kalihi. I was so star-struck that i couldn't say hi. Awesome videos!
