Universal Studio Japan Vlog | GU Shopping | Shinsaibashi Tour and Food Trip
Konnichiwa everyone! Join us as we take you on a magical tour of our Osaka, Japan Vlog! Today, we’re ticking off a major bucket list item: Universal Studios Japan (USJ)! From the nostalgic Wizarding World to the colorful chaos of Super Nintendo World, we’ve got everything covered.
🌟 Trending Spots & Must-See Attractions
Universal Studios Japan is constantly evolving! Here are the spots you cannot miss right now:
Super Nintendo World: The star of the show! Step through the Warp Pipe into a real-life Mario game. Don’t forget to get a Power-Up Band to hit blocks and collect coins.
Donkey Kong Country: The newest expansion! It’s wild, lush, and features the mind-blowing “Mine Cart Madness” ride.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Still a classic. Seeing Hogwarts Castle for the first time will literally give you chills. Pro-tip: Try the Butterbeer (it’s non-alcoholic!).
Minion Park: The world’s largest Minion-themed area. It’s colorful, loud, and perfect for the gram.
Seasonal “Cool Japan” Zones: Depending on when you visit, look out for limited-time anime collaborations like Detective Conan, Demon Slayer, or Jujutsu Kaisen.
🎢 Thrilling Rides You Must Try
Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge: An AR-enhanced race that makes you feel like you’re actually inside the game.
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey: A 4D experience that takes you flying through the Quidditch pitch and the Forbidden Forest.
The Flying Dinosaur: For the adrenaline junkies! You’ll be suspended face-down as a Pteranodon “carries” you through Jurassic Park.
Hollywood Dream – The Ride (Backdrop): A roller coaster that goes backwards while you choose your own soundtrack.
⏱️ How to Maximize Your Time (Efficiency Tips)
The “Power of 7 AM”: Arrive at the gates at least 1 to 1.5 hours before the official opening. USJ often opens its doors early, and this is your chance to sprint to Nintendo World without a Timed Entry Ticket!
Download the USJ App: This is a life-saver. Use it to check real-time wait times and, most importantly, to grab your Area Timed Entry Ticket for Nintendo World the second you enter the park.
Use Single Rider Lines: If you don’t mind sitting apart from your group for 5 minutes, the Single Rider line for The Flying Dinosaur or Jaws can save you 2 hours of waiting.
Eat at “Off” Times: Have lunch at 10:30 AM or 3:00 PM to avoid the massive restaurant queues.
🚂 How to Get to Universal City Station from Dotonbori
Navigating the trains in Osaka is easy once you get the hang of it! Just remember that the Osaka Amazing Pass covers the Osaka Metro (Subway), but you will need your ICOCA Card for the JR Lines to reach the park.
Start at Namba Station: From the Dotonbori area, walk to Osaka-Namba Station.
Take the Hanshin Namba Line: Use your ICOCA card to board the train heading towards Amagasaki.
Transfer at Nishikujo Station: Alight at Nishikujo. This is a very quick transfer within the same station area.
Switch to the JR Yumesaki Line: This train is often covered in Universal Studios characters! Use your ICOCA Card to tap in here.
Arrive at Universal City Station: It’s only two stops away from Nishikujo. Follow the crowds through the Universal Citywalk, and you’re at the gates!
