Before starting my video projects, I worked at Benesse House Museum and the Art House Project, where I encountered Naoshima not as a tourist, but from within the art sites themselves.

This teaser touches on several undeniable facts that have received little attention within the stories usually told about Naoshima’s art.

They includea sculpture placed on the island in the late 1980s, words left behind by an artist that remain outside official narratives, and a rare phenomenon of light that appears only a few times each year.

These elements are not hidden — they exist quietly, yet they are rarely connected or explained together.
