KAUNAS LITHUANIA Everything to See and Do in ONE DAY | Christmas Market, Museums, Churches, Castle

Join me as I explore Kaunas in Lithuania walking around this city seeing everything it has to offer and finishing the day at the Christmas Markets.

I start my day at my hotel the Ibis Kaunas Centre before walking into the City.

Kaunas offers a mix of history, culture, and modern vibes, with top attractions including the charming Kaunas Old Town, the bustling pedestrian Laisves Aleja (Freedom Avenue) with cafes and shops, historical sites like Kaunas Castle, the beautiful St. Peter & Paul Cathedral, vibrant street art, modernist architecture, and relaxing spots like Aleksotas Hill for city views, plus nearby gems like the stunning Pažaislis Monastery.

As well as the Kaunas attractions listed above I also ride the Funicular train, go up to the roof terrace of Christ’s Resurrection Basilica, visit the Great War Museum and of course walk around the Kaunas Christmas Markets.
