Here's a road trip itinerary for Northern Thailand during the winter months of January, when the flowers are in bloom. Enjoy mountains and streams, admire the sea of mist and cherry blossoms. This plan is suitable for those who can drive long distances and navigate steep mountain roads, as some sections are very narrow and steep. Considerable driving skills are required. This can serve as a guide for your trip. We started in Chonburi province and drove north to Mae Kampong in Mae On district, Chiang Mai province. We stayed at Mae Kampong Hill Resort, a beautiful resort by the stream where you can listen to the sound of flowing water and even play in the stream right from your room. We then enjoyed strolling and eating at the night market on the mountain . The next day, we drove to San Pa Kia Doi Mae Ta Man in Chiang Dao district, Chiang Mai province, and stayed at the San Pa Kia High Altitude Agricultural Research Station. We enjoyed the breathtaking views of Doi Luang Chiang Dao . The weather on the mountain was very cold; the temperature dropped below 5 degrees Celsius at night. The sky was full of stars – the atmosphere was amazing! Then we drove on to Doi Ang Khang. We drove through Arunothai village, stopping at the Suithang viewpoint to admire the mountain range. The road winding along the mountainside cliffs offered stunning views. Finally, we visited Tea Plantation 2000 to see the white and pink cherry blossoms. We visited the beautiful terraced tea plantations , then went to the Royal Agricultural Station Ang Khang to see the blooming pink cherry blossoms – it was truly heartwarming! We toured the temperate fruit and vegetable plots at Ang Khang, then drove to the Baan Lek Pa Yai (Small House in the Forest) project in Doi Pha Hom Pok National Park, near the Thai-Myanmar border. We camped high in the mountains, experiencing the cool breeze and the pink cherry blossoms (Prunus cerasoides) blooming around the campsite – it was incredibly beautiful. The next day, we drove from Baan Lek Pa Yai, through Fang District in Chiang Mai Province, Chiang Rai Province, and Phayao Province , stopping for Khao Soi in Lampang. We then continued through Phrae, Uttaradit, and Phitsanulok Provinces , entering Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park. We stayed at Baan Rai Sai Mok in Ban Rong Kla, visited Wat Pa Phu Hin Rong Kla , enjoyed the panoramic view of the village, and explored Ban Rong Kla. The following day, we hired a local vehicle from Ban Rong Kla to visit Phu Lom Lo in Loei Province to watch the beautiful sunrise and see the largest cherry blossom plantation in Thailand , located at the border of Loei, Phetchabun, and Phitsanulok provinces. Finally, we returned to take photos of the flower gardens at Baan Rai Sai Mok. We continued our road trip, stopping to visit Phu Thap Boek in Phetchabun province , stopping to buy souvenirs, enjoying the views at various points, and then eating Khanom Jeen (rice noodles) at Je Rae's in Lom Sak district before heading back to Chonburi. It was a grueling 5-day, 4-night road trip , but it fulfilled all our needs. If you're fit and enjoy road trips , you can follow our route! Here we are, getting ready for our road trip up north. We're about to leave home at 3:17 AM. We'll leave Chonburi around 3:30 AM. We'll stop for a quick errand and get all our equipment ready. The outside temperature is 24 degrees Celsius. The odometer reading is 99,762 km, stop number 322. Let's go! It'll take about 10 hours, approximately 800 km. We'll drive along the Chonburi expressway and continue north. The outside temperature is still 22 degrees Celsius. We're taking the Burapha Viithi expressway from Chonburi. We'll veer left towards Bang Pa-in, then we'll head towards Ayutthaya. 5:03 AM. We're in Ayutthaya, continuing on. Sing Buri Province, 5:30 AM. Continuing on. We've entered Chainat. 5:52 AM. Continuing on. 6:17 AM. Uthai Thani. Continuing on. Nakhon Sawan. 6:34 AM. Continuing on. Straight ahead is Nakhon Sawan. We'll turn left. Veer left towards Kamphaeng Phet and Phitsanulok. Look at the fog on both sides of the road! It's completely foggy, and low-lying too. If there were a field with trees, you'd see it even clearer. It 's a beautiful fog . No smoke, just fog. The air is cold, 19 degrees outside. Entering Kamphaeng Phet Province, 76 minutes. Continuing on. We've entered Tak Province, 8:16 AM. The outside temperature is 17 degrees. Continuing on. We'll stop at a gas station in Tak Province. First stop. I'll use the restroom and fill up the tank. We've filled up 30 liters, 3.41 liters, and 41 liters, totaling 1,000 baht. This is our first time here. Let's stop at the gas station to use the restroom. First stop, let me open my bag and get my book and park passport. It's cold, look at the dogs sleeping in the sun. It's only 18 degrees, nice and cool. Mom's going to stop to buy some things, then we'll stop for lunch. Mom probably won't eat cats… Oh, there's a cat! Look! What's up, youngsters? Meow meow! Okay, we'll stop at this restaurant for lunch. Chicken rice and chicken noodles. Get ready to continue. We'll be at the gas station for about half an hour. Okay, we're continuing our journey. We've entered Tak province. We've passed Lampang city and reached Kuntal. Let's continue. Welcome to Lamphun province! We'll continue on route 11517. We'll stop at a gas station in Chiang Mai first, then we'll continue our journey. We'll use the restroom and refuel before heading to Mae Kampong. We 'll refuel in Chiang Mai, 1,000 baht worth of diesel, number 1203. Okay, let's get out and use the restroom first; there are restrooms in this area. We've arrived in Chiang Mai; there's quite a lot of traffic. Members, get ready; we're going to Mae Kampong from Chiang Mai. Let's go! Oh, the road is incredibly winding on the way to Mae Kampong. It's going up and down a lot, with many big trees. There's a stream beside it. The atmosphere is nice and shady. There are big roads on both sides, winding back and forth. It 's making my stomach ache. There are also two motorcycles . We've arrived! We're staying at Mae Kampong Hill in Chiang Mai. Here we are! We've arrived at Mae Kampong Hill in Chiang Mai. Now we'll walk to the stream from our room. It's over there, just walk a little further. It's beautiful, so cute, and there's a cafe too, look! Oh, so relaxing. Here's a hug. This is the skin here, and then walk over. Let's get some things from this side. Come on, come on, come on! Here, Chompoo is sitting by the water, so chill. How is it? Cool and refreshing, isn't it? So chill, the air is cool and comfortable. We're staying in this room, so chill. How is it? Do you like it? The atmosphere is great. The atmosphere is great, right? Hmm, the water is right in front of us. Right in front of the room. The atmosphere is so good, really good. Chompoo loves it so much . Come with me to see the room, okay? Oh , there's an extra bed, so we have an extra bed. A bed, a refrigerator. This is the bathroom. Yes, open it. Oh, the bathroom is cute. A really cute bathroom. There's a toilet here, you can open it to see the view. Oh, look, it's beautiful, see? And this is the front of the room, so chill. How is it? Do you like it? I love it! Yes, I'm full. Ah, we've entered the Mae Kampong village area now. This is Baan Muan Jai. The roads are small, aren't they? Oh, it's a hill tribe village where they live. It's already there, but they've renovated it into a homestay. We'll drive to the walking street . We parked at the Mae Kampong Community Learning Center, which is a school. It's next to Doi Mae Kampong Coffee. This area is all walking street and market. Here we park. We drove up here. And this is Luang Phu's grilled banana skewers, how much are they? 5 baht. Oh, grilled bananas, 5 baht. Grilled bananas . How about some Sai Ua (Thai sausage)? Yes, Sai Ua, the kind Grandpa makes, it's not too fragrant. How much is it? 20 baht . Okay, 20 baht, I'll pay. We're at the market, it's lively and crowded. Delicious! Let's try it. Mmm, it's flavorful. Here it is, the Luang Phu Pa Peng restaurant. Let's look around the shop. Look, look ! They have a menu, even Khao Soi (Northern Thai curry noodle soup). We were looking for a place to eat. They have things for sale too. The atmosphere is nice. Look, everyone's eating here. They also have desserts. There's a small house with sweets too. We've walked around a bit, but where are we going to eat? Let's eat at the restaurant we just saw, Uncle Phu and Auntie Peng's. Okay. Now we're eating at a restaurant by the stream, it's so beautiful, look how refreshing it is! We ordered chicken Khao Soi and shrimp Pad Thai. It came with numbers and a temperature sign. Oh, the Khao Soi is here, it looks delicious, right? Let's eat! Is it delicious? We haven't added any seasonings yet, let's eat by the stream. Eating with my wife, Ann, and Mom. Here's some hot tea. Wow, these are real flowers. Look, they're wilted, you can clearly see. Wow, they're beautiful. Spin it faster ! Oh, how much is it? And this one is 30 baht, the red taxi. Which taxi do you want? Cute, cute, right? It 's not cold, is it? We walked out of our guesthouse, this room is here, and now we're going to eat Moo Krata (Thai BBQ) to enjoy the cold weather. Hey, look! We weren't going to eat, but now we're going to eat Moo Krata ! The weather is cool, the Moo Krata is warm. Okay, let's start eating. Oh, this is the Moo Krata. Mmm , it looks delicious! It's delicious, it's all about the taste! We brought chrysanthemum tea too, we'll go drink it at Ai Kaem's Moo Krata restaurant. What's missing? I had to get some chrysanthemum tea [__] because the weather was cold. Having chrysanthemum tea [__] was so refreshing. The eggs were whole. The pan was a bit black, but it was okay. This is hibiscus tea, and this is chrysanthemum tea with foam. Hibiscus and chrysanthemum tea with foam, so refreshing. In the morning, the sound of the water was so refreshing. There was a lot of fog, but it's clearing now. "I'm having breakfast with Mom. The weather is cool and comfortable . I almost forgot about the stream while we're eating here. Oh, here's our breakfast set. Oh, almost dropped it all! Thank you so much. This is the drip coffee set. The coffee is drip coffee too. Mom's drip coffee, I'm drinking it now. Cheers with Mom! Mmm, refreshing, isn't it? Oh, you're here? Let's have breakfast by the stream at Mae Kampong. The weather is so nice, and the drip coffee is hot. How's the porridge? Are you happy, Mom?" (Silence) "Oh, it's hot, the porridge is great. Try it, it 's delicious." "How is it? Good, good. So chill. I woke up late today. Wow, so chill. Look, we need to use the 6,000 kilometer road. " "This corner is nice to sit at. Anyone who comes to Mae Kampong and is hungry, even if they're not staying here, can come to the cafe, buy coffee, tea, or other drinks, and sit and chill while enjoying the stream view. So chill. We're sitting by the stream near the bridge. Look, something keeps falling from the trees all the time. Look, it's everywhere! It makes the area under the trees…" It's full of these white people, look! These are people from Mae Kampong, from Ban Thong. Oh, near Mae Kampong. Oh, okay, it's near Mae Kampong. This is the original accommodation area. We were hesitant about whether to take this room or not. It has a balcony, right next to the bridge. There's a bedroom here, and a bathroom with a curtain, and you can just soak by the edge of the tub. You get this view. The stream below. Yes, a real stream. This one has a tub too. The atmosphere is amazing. The sunlight makes it brighter, and the air warms up. It's so relaxing. I'd say it's beautiful, and very refreshing. Mae Kampong Hill Chiang Mai is a resort homestay right next to a stream. There's parking too. Finding parking in Mae Kampong can be difficult, so I recommend choosing a place with parking. It's very peaceful. Come visit on weekdays, there are fewer customers. But on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, there are a lot of customers, so it's harder to take pictures. It feels very private. We're sitting by the stream here. This is another… This spot is so chill, right ? Look at the flowers by the stream ! The atmosphere is amazing. We ordered more coffee and some cute snacks. Another cup of coffee, so refreshing ! Hot coffee in this nice weather with my loved one. We're sitting here enjoying the pink flowers. When the sun comes out, we'll sit and sip coffee in front of the house. It's not too hot here yet. The good thing about this house is that we can go down the stairs from the front of the house and down to the stream. So chill! The house is like this , warm coffee, a loved one, and this view… This is a highly recommended place to stay in Mae Kampong. The owner even treated us to coffee. Thank you so much! How much is the set? Here it is. The owner helped carry it. 1112. We'll be driving to San Pak Kia, 2 hours, 45 minutes, 122 km. We're traveling from Mae Kampong Hill, Chiang Mai Province. Let's go! We'll stop at the Royal Project Development Center in Mae Kampong. They have many things. Let's support the Royal Project. We 'll continue our journey. Along the way, we'll pass through valleys. Yes, there are rice fields and houses of the villagers, they don't live in hardship at all, and it's beautiful too. We stopped here before reaching Chiang Dao, it's a checkpoint. Let's take a look. Oh, fruit separated? Wow. Mom, are you going to buy some? Oh, no, I'm going to eat it now. Oh , there's still smoke rising, they're burning sticky rice. Ah , just put it in yourself, 3 kg . We stopped to buy things, mostly fruit, Mom. We also bought sticky rice in bamboo, it's delicious. Have you tried it yet? Not yet. I'll let you try it later. What did you buy, Chom? Puza. We have O too . Oh, we'll go eat at San Pak Kia at the top. Let's stock up on supplies first, then we'll turn left, this is the treehouse. Let's back up first. If we're coming from Chiang Mai to Chiang Dao, when we get here, turn left to the treehouse, to Mae Mae. This way, if you go to San Pak Kia, the road is rough at the top, it's difficult to get through. We'll go this way. I've been to the treehouse and Mae Mae before, there's a homestay and everything, it's comfortable. I'll go another way, to San Pak Kia, it's easier but… It's a longer distance, so we'll go another way. Let me show you a different route. We'll stop to buy some ice to add to the water, but we already have some snacks. We'll stop here, it's a bit past the treehouse village. But we'll go another way, a different route. I'll show you, the back route. Many people have gone up this way before. If you follow GPS, it will tell you to go up the back route, but we'll go the easier way. We'll choose the route via Wat Chom Khiri. This route is easier to drive than the Mae Mae-San Pak Kia route. Easier doesn't mean it's easy to drive, though. The route goes through paved roads, concrete, and red dirt roads. The road is narrow and steep, so be careful if there's oncoming traffic; you might drive off the side. However, the route is improved every year, making it easier and more convenient than in previous years . We're going this way, towards Wat Chom Khiri. We'll turn left onto another road, towards Ban San Pak Ki School. This route is better, although it's a bit longer, about 10 minutes, maybe 8-10 minutes, but the road is better. It's still a paved road, comfortable. Some drivers know the route, so it's easy to go up. Then turn left. Yes, we're here. Keep going. Oh, we're below the Chom Khiri checkpoint. Yes, keep going. When we reach the Kun Mok unit, we'll turn left. There's a sign here. This left is a new downhill slope; we have to go up it. The rhythm is controlled. Go up, up, up until you reach this intersection, then turn left. Okay, until we reach the headwaters where we turned left, then just follow the loop. Oh, wait, turn left towards the Chiang Mai University (CMU) Highland Agricultural Station. This is the CMU Agricultural Station. This is the sign for the boat. Please pay as follows. If you want to pay, go ahead. I'll collect it upstairs. Okay, we'll be back here. Anyone going up to the CMU Agricultural Station, please get off here; you don't need to pay. But those going to the boat can pay here. We're going to the CMU Highland Agricultural Station. I've booked a house. Okay, I'll get the park pass. The car is coming fast, see? Be careful of the cars going up and down. Wow, the view is so beautiful! This is the Chiang Dao Wildlife Sanctuary, a wildlife sanctuary, not a national park. I'll get the stamp on the back. The first part of the road up is still like concrete, but it's a bit dusty. It's easy to drive. There will be some difficult sections, but be careful of cars coming down; the road is narrow. The road runs along the edge of the cliff, but it's full of dirt. It's a dirt road, but it's been leveled, so it's easy to drive. It's a gravel road. Even though I said it was easier to climb, some sections are still narrow. If there's oncoming traffic, it can be difficult. But if it's not raining, it's easy. However, if it rains, the ground will be muddy and difficult to climb. Also, there's no phone signal in some sections. I recommend not driving a 4WD vehicle if you come here. In winter, when the ground is dry and hard, a 2WD is fine, but during the rainy season, a 4WD is definitely safer. This winding road is quite wide in some sections, although some parts are really narrow. But it's still better than the road to Mae Nam, which was very narrow the last time we went up. This section is much wider now. If there's oncoming traffic, it could be bad. I did n't get a chance to film it earlier; this section was like a knee- deep gap . This is the road to San Pa Kia. I'll open the window and show you. This section is a bit wider now, it's comfortable. There are both narrow and wide sections along the ridge. It's another steep section, but not extremely steep. It's a very narrow road, but there are several paths. It's still considered easy for the tourist season in San Pa Kia. Doi Mae Tamman is located within the Chiang Dao Wildlife Sanctuary in Chiang Mai province. The trails are open to tourists from September to February each year. Please check the official opening and closing times on the Chiang Dao Wildlife Sanctuary's announcements or on Facebook groups like "San Pa Kia Doi Mae Tamman" and "San Pa Kia Doi Luang Chiang Dao." For other tourist spots and camping areas in the San Pa Kia area, such as Rai Lung Charoen, the school camping area, or Mon View San Pa Kia, it's recommended to check the phone numbers or Facebook pages of those locations. You can also ask in the San Pa Kia Facebook groups. We 've arrived at the intersection. This way goes to Ban San Pa Kia School, only 2 km away. This way goes to the San Pa Kia High Altitude Agricultural Station. We're going to the San Pa Kia High Altitude Agricultural Station. The road looks like this. Turn left, it's another 1.8 km. The road is quite narrow, and it's difficult for low-clearance vehicles. Even lifted vehicles can't make good time if there's oncoming traffic. It's a bit difficult here right now, the road is very narrow. Ugh, I don't even want to think about it when it rains . Look, that car over there, it's low. We're starting to get stuck. That car was before us just now. They parked and paid. Okay, traffic's a little congested. Be careful. Okay, come this way. There are chickens here too. Go ahead. Okay, then I'll overtake you. Could you pull over a little near the parking lot? Okay . The road is a bit narrow. We can make it, it's beautiful here . We're driving straight ahead, the road is a bit narrow. Okay, we've arrived at the High Altitude Agricultural Research Center, San Pak Kia. But right now, I'm taking you to these two architectural buildings. Look at the sky and the mountaintop, Doi Luang Chiang Dao. We've arrived at the two architectural buildings, the High Altitude Agricultural Research Station, San Pak Kia. You can camp here, but if anyone wants to… Booking accommodation is highly recommended as rooms fill up very quickly. The San Pa Kia Research Center accommodations sleep 4-8 people, depending on the size of the room. Each room has a private bathroom with a water heater, gas stove, and a kitchenette for cooking. There are 4 rooms available for 1,500 baht each. To the left is the Architectural House 2, followed by Architectural House 1, then a wooden house in the middle, and finally an A-frame house on the far right (all at the same price, the wooden house in the middle is the largest). For tourists bringing their own tents, the campsite maintenance fee is 100 baht per person. No reservation is needed; you can just walk in. There are 4 shared bathroom areas with approximately 20 rooms. Accommodation bookings for the research center usually open around October 1st each year. You can inquire by calling 05394052 during business hours. They will provide you with an email address and phone number to contact the staff at the San Pa Kia Highland Agricultural Research Center. You can send your bank transfer slip to that email. Let me give you an example of my booking… Okay, I called the old number and it still works: 053 948403. After calling to inquire about the accommodation, they gave me Ms. Pikul Mooninta's email address: [email protected]. You can use this email to contact them and send the transfer slip to confirm your booking. They will then send you the staff's contact number and a booking confirmation message. For tent bookings with bedding, if you didn't bring a tent, please call 0969736488. For those unsure about driving up and down the mountain, you can book a private car or tour vehicle with 4×4 driver at 080672 9511 (Ms. Pai). For more information, please call 080672 9511. This is the view from the front of the house; there's a table and chairs, black garbage bags, and a broom. Inside, there are sleeping mats ( 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5). The bathroom is on the right and left. There's a gas stove and a kitchen you can use. How long will it be? We're staying here. There's a gas stove, 10 coffee makers, and water is readily available. We'll park here. We haven't taken down the tents yet because we've booked accommodation. Wow, eating papaya salad with this view is so relaxing. Look, look at the view of Doi Suthep Luang Chiang Dao! This fried chicken and rice is so good. How about the meatballs and papaya salad? Good or bad? I don't know, just look at it . I'm not eating much. We're staying at the Architecture House 2. The trees are starting to sprout. In short, this is a plum tree. The flowers have fallen. Plum trees bloom first, then the cherry blossoms follow. Each year, they bloom. Wow, there are plum trees too! Look! The flowers have all fallen. These are pink plum trees. There are white ones too. Behind us is a coffee tree. Look at this one. It has many different colored fruits. Look at these green and red ones. There are some down below too. Importantly, there are restrooms here. Besides the central tent area, there are restrooms throughout the area. They're located opposite Architecture House 2. These are the restrooms. Anyone coming to Santa Kia and staying in the middle of the campsite at the research center, there are restrooms scattered around. These are coffee beans. The green ones aren't quite ripe yet. They're harvested when they're fully ripe, like the dark red ones. Then they're roasted and sun-dried. They remove the husks and the fruit, like the flower itself. They're dried, then the husks are removed, and they become like this. I'll show you. They're sun-dried and become coffee beans like this. They're roasted dark, medium, or lightly, depending on the roasting method. These are coffee beans. Let's go look at that over there. Running to the water… No need to go to the auditorium, it's beautiful. This area is in front of the campsite. The view is great. It's starting to get lively in the evening. How is it? Do you like it? The weather is nice, the atmosphere is beautiful. Let's watch the stars tonight. Oh, the view is amazing! Yes , the view is very beautiful. There are food stalls here, and another spot on the other side, near the building. There are two spots. What is it ? At this spot, there's a BBQ place and other food available, you know. Pork stir-fry with omelet and minced pork. Hmm , the welfare shop. Yes, there's a phone number too. You see the BBQ pork shop? Here it is. There's a phone number for the BBQ pork shop, and they also have pork stir-fry with omelet and minced pork at the welfare shop. They also have snacks, instant noodles, tea, coffee, Oatmeal, water, and ice . Hmm, what? They also have drinks. Check the tank. Oh, it's carbonated water [__]. They have carbonated water. Anyone contacting about accommodation, please contact this building. How much is a tent? A regular tent is 100 baht per person, students are 50 baht. Oh, no charge for minors and children. Do I need to show my student ID? Ah, you need to show it. And how much is the stove rental? A bare stove is 50 baht. Oh, 50 baht. A stove with everything is 80 baht, and curry is 100 baht. Oh, and a pan is 130 baht. Oh, with accessories, 130 baht. Hmm, if it's 130 baht , you get the whole scan, right? 2. Oh, you can have both. There are two sets of BBQ pork, right? Yes, a small set and a large set. The small set is 499 baht, and the large set is 699 baht. I already asked that earlier. Now, I have a quick question. What time does the restaurant open? This restaurant opens at 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. It opens at 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. So, here, the electricity is available from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Don't be surprised. We were a little surprised earlier when the power didn't come on. From 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, there's a restaurant here that I recommend; it's the main restaurant. Is there a tent area here? There's a restaurant there too. You've prepared a lot of equipment. Okay , are you ready? Come into the building area; there are restrooms and sinks. Please don't wash dishes or vegetables here. There are showers, and slippers are provided. There are no shower rooms. There's no toilet with a flush system, the other side is the bathroom. Walk straight ahead. This is the shower area, the toilets are over there. But for those who don't walk too far, there are more toilets on that side. There's a tree stump as a seating area in the middle of the tent. We're staying in this house. We ordered the big BBQ set, 699 baht. We also ordered rice. They'll bring it out first. The fire will follow. Wow, it's so nice! How's the view? We're eating with this view! The fire's here. Oh, it's so nice! Is it really that hot? Yes. No, it's not the smell. It's a tree. It's a real tree, right? Does it have sap that makes it flammable? But it has sap that makes it catch fire. Wow, the fire's lit! Thank you so much ! They even gave us some. They sell wood, like the kind they make for sale. I'll give you some to eat. Can I put the pan down to steam it? Okay. Mom, go sit by the fire to warm yourself up because it's so cold. The temperature here is definitely in single digits these days. Last night it was 7 degrees. Tonight it will probably be about the same temperature as last night. The pan is ready, the set includes soup, a bowl, and a spoon. Pour the soup first, it'll sizzle! The heat is high. There's no pork fat, so grill the fatty parts first so the pan doesn't burn. Ah , okay, there it is. Look at that, eating… Mmm, look at Chompoo, with her headlamp! Is this good for traveling, for nature lovers, for nature enthusiasts? A headlamp, right? Yes, it's a must-have item. It lets you do other things. Yes, a headlamp , sweet dipping sauce. Eating Korean BBQ with the person you love, huh? The person in the pink shirt is my mom. The person in the black shirt behind her is my wife. We bought them together. Matching shirts! Oh, I didn't know! Wow, wow, look at that! Refreshing, isn't it? The weather is nice. Here's Korean BBQ, so chill. Oh, the headlamp looks like a hair clip! Try turning around and looking. Look, it's not on my head anymore, it's a hair clip! The light will turn off at 10 PM. There's about a minute left before it goes out. There's a flashing light. 57… and then 10 PM. The guesthouses here have a lot of gaps between the walls. Both the windows and the roof let in constant wind, so I recommend bringing extra bedding to protect against the cold. A sleeping bag is also a good idea ; it gets really cold. At night, we'll go for a walk and take pictures of the stars at different spots. Wow, the view is amazing! When we wake up in the morning, the sun is blocked by fog and clouds; we can't see much of it yet. The summit of Doi Luang Chiang Dao is a bit cloudy, but it's starting to clear. It's 71 degrees Celsius now. What time will we see the sunrise? When we wake up in the morning, the sky is overcast, but we can see the sea of fog in the distance. It's beautiful. The cherry blossoms are starting to bloom today, January 8th, 2023. We expect them to be in full bloom around mid-January. The other blossoms are only about 10% bloomed; the rest are just starting to sprout buds. They should be in full bloom around mid-January. Look at the birds perched there, singing. The sun is rising, but there's a lot of fog. When we wake up in the morning, the tents are full! There are so many people camping here. It's okay. Here's some food: fried chicken, papaya salad, fried meatballs, sausage, and drinks. There are many things to see and do here. We're here traveling, and we also met some fans from the channel. They came to say hello and chat; some of us filmed videos, and some didn't. They were so lovely ! They're both from Chonburi! What's your name, sir/ madam? My name is Cheaw, and yours is Lek . Oh, okay. It's so nice to meet you all! Thank you to everyone from the Thai Style channel, especially the family of three – father, mother, and child, Cheaw and Lek. Talking to you made me realize you're both from Chonburi. It's so nice to meet you all ! The water's boiling now, we're going to have some simple drip coffee. It's delicious! These cookies were made by my mom at home. Drip coffee, fresh coffee in the morning… look at the views! So satisfying! It 's so easy, we'll have coffee soon. Here's breakfast rice. I stir-fried this using leftovers from last night. Okay, how much did you ask them to stir-fry for? 20 baht for stir-fry and 2 boxes of rice. Oh, and their vegetables? Our vegetables ? Oh, our vegetables, and they gave us eggs instead. Oh, eggs and tomatoes. Vegetables and sausage from the leftover pork barbecue. Hmm, this is the view. People are starting to leave now, starting to pack up. Oh, Mom's food looks delicious, look at Chompoo's. Oh, look at that. Soft-boiled eggs. Soft-boiled eggs. Mmm. Oh, there's sauce. Fish sauce. Tomato sauce. This sauce is tomato sauce. Too bad I got Maggi seasoning, oh wow , it looks so delicious . Mmm, it looks like delicious breakfast with a view of Doi Luang Chiang Dao. This is the bathroom, no toilet. This is the kitchen, there's a pan, a sink, plates, spoons. This is the toilet and kitchen. Real flowers, I thought they were dried flowers, so beautiful. Oh, don't touch, don't touch, leave them alone. They 're beautiful. We've left San Pa Kia now. This is us, we've left the San Pa Kia High Altitude Agricultural Research Station. The outside temperature is 14 degrees. Last night I asked the staff , the temperature was 4 degrees. It's really cold at San Pak Kia, isn't it? Cool and comfortable. Is it cold, Mom? Very cold. Very cold. Yes, it's comfortable, about 4 degrees, but we're staying inside the house, so it's still bearable. This is how we drove. The road is like this during the rainy season. When it rains, it's difficult; you need a 4WD vehicle. 2WD vehicles can come during the winter. The cherry blossoms are starting to bloom now. San Pak Kia is right on the edge of the cliff. Looking down, you can see the Mae Tamman watershed management unit. Up above, there's another management unit , yes, the Mae Tamman watershed management unit. We stayed at the High Altitude Agricultural Research Station of Chiang Mai University. This area is the Mae Tamman watershed management unit, only a few hundred meters away. If you come straight in, on the left is the High Altitude Agricultural Research Station of Chiang Mai University, and on the right is the Mae Tamman watershed management unit. When we drive back down, we'll see a sign. We came from the High Altitude Agricultural Research Station… We've arrived at the bottom. Okay, follow me. We're going to Ang Khang. Ready? Okay, let's continue. We've come down. We're at the bottom now. Turn left and continue. This is a temple and a community. We've come out of the Wat Chom Khiri School. There are a lot of resorts here. I've stayed at a resort owned by P' Sim, P' Kaset, it's great. Anyone coming to Chiang Dao can stay here. We've arrived. Let's go. Two more hours. This is Pha Daeng National Park. We've got our stamp at Pha Daeng National Park. There's also the Si Sangwan Waterfall. We came via Ban Arunothai, through Pha Daeng National Park. Look to your left, there's a reservoir . This route has amazing views. That's why we chose to come to Ang Khang this way. Actually, you could go straight to the other side, but this route is more beautiful. You'll see beautiful mountain views. Just now I saw a sign for a natural spring. They said it only happens once every 8 years. Tourists are stopping to walk around the spring. It's a natural spring. Oh, the spring is called Thammacha. Auntie let me take a picture. Hmm, no wonder the tree is in the middle of the purple water below. The water is bubbling up, it says "8 years ago, " and there's a small sign. The water is bubbling up , look at the tree in the water. It happens once every 8 years. Let's continue our journey. We've arrived! This is Ban Arunothai. It means we were 5 kilometers from earlier. Haven't been here in a while? Oh, I remember now ! You remember when we came here in the morning, there were food stalls all along both sides of the road. Yes, there were tiny seeds everywhere. Ang Khang is another 42 km. Go straight ahead. The mountains are like that, with lots of gaps. They have strange-looking trees here. There's a lot of cornfields in Ban Arunothai. Look, they plant them along the roadside. We're at the Suithang viewpoint. If you came here in the morning, the fog would come in streams. Wow, the sea of fog is so beautiful! We're at the Suithang viewpoint here. This is the Suithang campground. It's divided into zones with water taps and everything you need. The view is amazing. Tourists keep coming, stopping by to visit, take pictures, and enjoy the view . The price for the campground space is 30 baht. They rent tents, pillows, sleeping mats, sleeping bags, and blankets at the Suithang shop. It's all good. We can walk down to the restrooms; there's a separate entrance for men and women. We drove along the mountain road, it's a bit winding, but it's beautiful. Only 9 more kilometers and we'll be right next to the Suithang viewpoint. We've arrived! The road is gorgeous, one of my favorite driving routes in Thailand. This route is top-notch. Coming from Ban Uno, Thailand, it winds along to Ang Khang, and the views on both sides are truly beautiful. Wow, the flowers are blooming! Let's stop! Okay, if there are blooms anywhere, we 'll stop. The good thing about driving on a road trip is that we can stop anywhere that's safe. The cherry blossoms are blooming along the roadside here, and the mountain view is amazing, isn't it? The roadside is beautiful too, look at all the flowers! Wow , so much pink! It's really beautiful, the pink blossoms along the roadside between the Suan Luang viewpoint and Ang Khang. Look, even this is beautiful! The weather is sunny but cool. We've driven around to a campsite along the way. Let me show you. This is the Ban Luang Ang Khang Mon Sakulai campsite, 100 meters away. Most of the pink blossoms have fallen, only a few remain because it gets cold early this year. Wow, it's all pink here. Ang Khang, plot 2,000. This is the entrance to the 2,000 tea plantation. Continue for 1 km . This is the entrance to the 2,000 tea plantation. It's a small road, but it's pretty, with concrete pavement. It's easy to get here. We drove in this way. When we arrived, we saw shops and the Ang Khang tea factory. There wasn't much parking, was it? Look, it's about this much. The leaves are starting to appear, but before this, it was white, the white cherry blossoms, the white Thai sakura. They're beautiful. There are still white flowers . The pink flowers are also white. The flowers look similar to pink, but they're white. What did you order? Cocoa? Hot cocoa for Mom, and young tea leaves. Oh, you have to eat tea when you're in Ang Khang. How is it? Good, right? This is where we walked to. There are seats here , but we're going to walk down to the parking lot on this side. We 're going down to the tea factory. It's so beautiful. The flowers are still in bud, look. Yes , this one is pink. Okay , I'll show you the white ones downstairs. But the flowers on the bigger trees are starting to bloom and fade. Some trees haven't fully bloomed yet, you have to check, but mostly here every year, the white blossoms bloom first. Once the white blossoms are in, the pink ones follow. It's so beautiful! Do you know what kind of tree this is? It's a cherry blossom tree. This is a real Japanese cherry blossom, the flowers are a bit different. There are so many birds, look! Look at the birds up close, chirping away! Look at the white blossoms, they're so beautiful! Usually I only see pink ones, this is the first time I've seen white cherry blossoms. And importantly, we're at Tea Plantation 2,000! Look! Wow , white cherry blossoms! Look at them at Tea Plantation 2,000 ! We're going to walk around Tea Plantation. We're harvesting tea leaves. It's really beautiful, and the weather is nice too . We're at Tea Plantation 2,000! You can come visit Ang Khang, it's really beautiful. Walk from here and you'll reach the pond. We're here to see the white and pink cherry blossoms. Today is a special day, it's our wedding anniversary, January 8th. Wishing Chompoo happiness, good health, and a long life with Pohn. I love Chompoo. Hmm, beautiful, right? Yes, you are. Why is the view so beautiful? This place is perfect for chilling out. The view below is beautiful, and the trees along the way are also very beautiful. There's a restroom here. Standing here, I thought I was smelling something fragrant, it smells so much like tea flowers. Look, the trees are full of flowers! It smells so good, like Oolong tea. Tea is only 10 baht a cup, so cheap! Yes, it smells good too, Oolong tea is only 10 baht a cup. Come visit! This is the Ang Khang Tea Factory. We've arrived at Doi Ang Khang. After leaving the 2,000-acre tea plantation , we came to the Royal Project, the Ang Khang Royal Agriculture Center. We're going to go inside Ang Khang. Look, there are so many vendors here! This is the Ang Khang Royal Agriculture Center. Wow, it's so beautiful! Is it closed? This is the most beautiful time of year. The entrance fee is 50 baht per person, so it's 200 baht total. These are real flowers! Wow, real cherry blossoms! They're blooming so beautifully! Let's take pictures here. These flowers… these are the Himalayan cherry blossoms and other flowers… Okay, these are Thai cherry blossoms. They're near the exit. Japanese cherry blossoms are also very beautiful. Let's find a parking spot first, okay? These are Japanese cherry blossoms, the color is a bit darker. Aren't they beautiful? Yes, they are . These are Japanese cherry blossoms, the color is darker and very beautiful. And over there are Thai cherry blossoms, the Himalayan cherry blossoms. The color is beautiful too, a lighter pink. This variety is very beautiful, full of blossoms. It's really pink! This tree is very prolific, look! This is a rose. Yes, look, it's growing next to a big tree. It's very beautiful, at first glance it looks like a pile of flowers . Ah, the tree, the tree. In the back, these are Himalayan cherry blossoms, Thai cherry blossoms. They're in full bloom, very beautiful. These are Himalayan cherry blossoms, this tree is blooming so beautifully, look! Wow, they're in full bloom! Selfie, selfie! This cherry blossom tree is so beautiful! Wow, the cherry blossoms are gorgeous. There are other flower areas here too. This one is also very beautiful, this is Japanese cherry blossom. The tree nearby with slightly lighter colors is Thai cherry blossom, like yacinth. We drove around and visited different points inside the station, and there were flowers everywhere! Wow , it's so beautiful, look at those white flowers! Why can't we just go around like this in our hometown? The weather is so nice, and there are white and pink flowers everywhere. We're going to drive up Doi Ang Khang. There are many places to stop and visit here. This is a grove that looks like plum blossoms, they've fallen, I'm not sure, or maybe they're peach blossoms. I have pictures too. Let's continue. There's parking here and restrooms. This is also beautiful, this is a beautiful open area. We've taken pictures here many times. This area is great, Mom. Wow, it's so beautiful! Oh, it's so beautiful! This is the main spot where people come to take pictures when they come to Doi Ang Khang. Inside, there's coffee and things like that. It's the Royal Garden commemorating the 72nd Birthday of His Majesty the King. We've taken a lot of pictures here, and up here… There are cherry blossoms too! I'll open the window so you can see. Wow, they're beautiful! There are also many orchards with temperate fruits. I really like coming here; it's so beautiful. You can come anytime; the weather is cool all year round. This is a plum orchard. The plum trees are beautiful. The blossoms are starting to fall, and the leaves are sprouting. There are some white blossoms too. We're at the plum orchard now. Let's go inside. There are still plum blossoms, these white ones. They bloom beautifully around the end of November or beginning of December, depending on the year. Do you see the plum blossoms? Yes, I do. If you come during the blooming season, they're as white as cherry blossoms! And there are plums on the trees too! Do you see the plums? Plums! There are plums everywhere. We're in a plum orchard. The plum trees are so beautiful, they have a lovely, bunting-like form. The weather is so nice, and the flowers are beautiful, especially the white ones. We're in a plum orchard far away, and there are pink cherry blossoms too! We're taking pictures. Oh, I don't know what kind of white flower that is, but it's so beautiful! Wow, it's really pretty. Okay , try to use low gear on this road. It's steep going up and down, so don't brake too much. Use engine braking to help. It's a bit winding and steep in places. The entrance fee… they said to return this. There's also a 100 baht deposit for trash. Return it and you 'll get 100 baht back. We've driven up here! This is the Little House in the Big Forest project. There's a parking area and restrooms here. The Little House in the Big Forest project is a royal initiative of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, consort of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej (King Rama IX). The project area provides housing and livelihoods for four hill tribes : the Muser, Karen, and Akha, and includes a resort. Tourists can visit and see the lifestyle, traditions, and culture of the hill tribes. On the way up, we'll pass through hill tribe villages, see agricultural plots of fruit trees, flowers, ornamental plants, and cold-climate vegetables, and terraced rice paddies. Or you can buy souvenirs from the hill tribes. They have silverware, woven handicrafts, and wood carvings, etc. And here, there's a campground at an altitude of 1,610 meters above sea level. You can also stay overnight in a homestay with various hill tribes. The Doi Phra Om Pok Small House in the Forest project is located in Mae Sao Subdistrict, Mae Ai District, bordering Fang District, Chiang Mai Province. The rental rates include bedding and tents. There's also a cart; the tire's flat, but we'll push it. We've rented all our equipment. We have a tent, but we need to leave early tomorrow, so we've already rented a tent from the national park. That way we won't have to rush to pack up. We have all the equipment. We'll leave early tomorrow morning. We rented a tent from the national park – a striped tent and a colored tent – so we won't be rushed when we're traveling quickly. Two vehicles are going by. It's going to be cold. How was it? We almost ended up camping at the small house project. "Small house in the big forest, huh? Look at the view from the tent. This tree in front is a Thai cherry blossom tree. We 'll have to see it tomorrow morning. Here's the menu from the Doi Phra Ngam National Park welfare shop, part of the 'Small House in the Big Forest' project. They have things for sale, like instant noodles and soup. You can write down your order. Okay, let 's see… They have boiled eggs for 10 baht, snacks and toiletries for 20 baht. They also have hot pot, stir-fried pork with basil, and Tom Yum soup… seafood Tom Yum… Eat it now! It's hot and flavorful. Come and have a drink. Okay, sit in front of the tent, bring a chair, and watch the stars on the ground and the stars in the sky." The stars are so beautiful. Today is our anniversary, January 8th. How about we sit and watch the stars in front of our tent? Do you like it? I like the cool air, it's very cool. The stars are beautiful, look! Let's sit here and have drinks while watching the stars. These are stars on the ground, stars in the sky, so beautiful. At night we went for a walk and took pictures of the star-shaped tents and the Thai cherry blossom trees at various spots. The view is very beautiful . This area is the parking area. Over there is the camping area with upper and lower levels . The restrooms are near the parking lot. This is the women's restroom, this is the men's restroom, and this is the disabled restroom. The disabled restroom has handrails, it's spacious, and has a sink for washing your face and hands. I'll show you. It's okay, it's good. This is the restroom. This is the shower room. This is the toilet. This is the shower room, toilet 1, toilet 2 , and toilet 3. There's a urinal too. Good. How is it? Let's find other rooms. This is the staff's restroom. It's really warm here. Oh, the warmth. Inside the tent isn't cramped, it's spacious. The tent is good. What is it? A square sleeping bag like this is good, right? This is our tent, we're sleeping in a national park tent. The national park office is bustling with activity. Everyone's packing up, getting ready to continue our journey. Let's open the tent! Right in front of the tent, you'll see cherry blossom trees! This is the view. We're camping at the "Little House in the Forest" campsite in Doi Ko National Park. The weather is great! The view behind us has blossoms blooming too, it's beautiful. Here's our campsite, the national park tent. We brought chairs too. From this side of the campsite, you can see the sea of fog. I thought there wouldn't be any, but let me zoom in for you to see. There's a little bit of fog . A lot of people are camping here. It's normal. About 60-70% of the blossoms are in bloom, maybe even 80% on some trees. This is another zone, the lower zone. You come up this way. The lower zone has a view of the cherry blossom trees, the pink ones are so beautiful! The camping area is nice, you can see the gray trees in layers. The sea isn't very foggy today, just a thin layer along the ridges. The wildflowers are blooming beautifully. Mom went out, it's cold and dark. In front of us, we can see the mountains in layers. If the house isn't big, if it's in the middle, you'll only see the middle of the second step. Below, it's the back of the wildflowers. There are wildflowers here too, but we came from the other side, it's prettier and more bloomed. But we're going up to the viewing pavilion to see the view from below. I'll close the coffee shop first, it's starting to boil. Simple coffee, just boil water and you're done. I heard someone singing up there, maybe? But the view is really good, the air is cool and peaceful. It's not too far from Fang, come up and see. But we have to be here before 6 PM, right? Yes, they close at 6 PM, so we have to hurry. Yesterday we flew on the 3rd. I just sent Mom to go to the bathroom. Okay, here's some easy drip coffee, 2 sachets and 1 bottle. Close the lids. We'll have hot coffee now, let's go for a walk and enjoy the view. There are some royal activities from the time of Queen Sirikit (King Rama IX) around the pavilion. The sun is rising now, the light is a bit bright. We'll wait for the sunrise. Wow, it's a perfect circle! This is the campsite at Doi Phra Hom Pok National Park, the "Little House in the Forest " campground. Let's walk this way, it 's cold. This is the royal residence. Wow, the cherry blossoms are blooming here! This is the campsite at Doi Phra Hom Pok National Park, the "Little House in the Forest" campground. There are so many Thai cherry blossoms here! Let's go for a walk. Okay, it's beautiful , the cherry blossoms are blooming beautifully. This is the campsite at Doi Phra Hom Pok National Park, the "Little House in the Forest" campground. Okay, let's get ready to continue our journey from the campsite at Doi Phra Hom Pok National Park. We're on our way now. Here we are. Yesterday we had some trash. We got our money back, 100 baht. It's cold , nice and cool. We'll head back towards Fang District now. But now it's completely foggy, look over here. That's an orange grove. We came down from the little house in the big forest, Doi Phra Om Pok National Park. Now we're going to Phu Rom Lo. How are you? Are you ready? Yes, I'm ready. Mom, are you ready? Look over there, those are flowers. Yes, they're flowers. Oh, it's all foggy! Let's continue our journey. It's been a very adventurous trip. I highly recommend the little house in the big forest. Anyone who wants to camp and see the cherry blossoms, the cherry blossoms only bloom once a year. There are beautiful cherry blossom trees everywhere. The temperature down here is 36 degrees. It's dropped, but it's still cold. But the fog is everywhere. The road was truly shrouded in fog. Visibility on both sides was extremely poor; you couldn't even see anything. We stopped to refuel at a gas station. We filled up with 1,000 baht worth of gas, and for every 900 baht spent, we got a large bottle of water. We drove from Fang via Mae Saluey. The road is like… well, if you can't imagine it… a winding, slow route. There's very little traffic. If you're traveling this route, I recommend filling your tank completely because the next gas station is in a major city. On both sides of the road, there are hardly any houses ; it's mostly forest, farmland, and agricultural areas belonging to the villagers. In some sections, there's absolutely nothing, not even phone signal. This is the Mae Saluey route from Fang, Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai. Mae Saluey has mountains like Khao Wua Lon, but strangely, this route has a lot of banana plantations. They grow bananas and corn. Normally, on the northern routes, you only see corn, but here, it's bananas everywhere. We passed through Fang and saw a lot of orange orchards. This is a banana plantation. Straight ahead is Phayao. We're going to turn right towards Lampang and the Chae Son National Park. We're heading to Lampang now. We stopped here to eat Khao Soi, at Father Boon's Khao Soi shop. Let's try the broth, it's rich and flavorful . Add a squeeze of lime, the meat is tender and delicious. The chili paste is definitely homemade, let's mix it together. Try it! When you come to Lampang, don't forget to eat at this shop. It's delicious! How's the taste? Delicious, rich, flavorful. It's really delicious, don't forget to try Khao Soi in Lampang province. It's very delicious! He's 77 years old now! Wow, he hasn't even reached that age yet! I thought he'd stop by then. He's getting really old! Wishing him good health. This is Father Boon's Khao Soi shop. He's only 77! I thought he was older, but he doesn't look that old. We parked here, it's a village community. The Khao Soi is delicious, well-balanced. I think the noodles are especially good, Father Boon's noodles are really good. We're leaving now… We've arrived at the city gate. This is the old city of Phu Rong Kla, the Phu Rong Kla Bridge. We're going straight to the Lampang Small Animal Hospital. We're going straight following the GPS. We're going to eat Khao Soi at Ah Boonma. We 'll turn right towards Uttaradit. This is the gate to the restaurant. We've arrived at Nakhon Thai District, Phitsanulok. We'll turn right to go to Phu Rong Kla National Park, to Rong Kla Village. The entrance fee… some countries have fees. We'll park the car here. Oh, is it the same as before? Smaller? Good. They've changed the design to be smaller. Look, this is the one we've been to before. 601 is this one . This is January 9th, 2068. This one is smaller. Oh, this is the national park. Let's go. Pay the money and continue our journey. Okay, we've arrived at the Phu Rong Kla National Park office. The temperature is 19 degrees Celsius. We'll continue straight ahead to Rong Kla Village. Oh, I miss Rong Kla Village so much! We're in front of the village now. Here it is. Ban Rong Kla, the pink village in Phu Hin Long Kla. It's beautiful! Look at the red blossoms, from bottom to top. Oh, it's so pretty! Look at the dog ! The weather is cool , around 18-19 degrees Celsius. It's comfortably cool, but it will get cooler at night. We've been here before, it's still green. Oh, that side is so green! The path is still green too. We've arrived! The sun is rising above the clouds, the light is beautiful. The blossoms aren't fully in bloom yet. This is the viewpoint overlooking the village from Wat Pa Phu Hin Long Kla. We visited during the cherry blossom season, the whole village was covered in pink blossoms. You could see the beautiful fog, the pine trees, the cherry blossom trees, the community, the houses, the villagers, and the beautiful resorts and homestays. Especially when the sun rises in the morning and shines down, you can see Ban Rong Kla with the pink cherry blossoms. It's truly worth experiencing the atmosphere, it's so good for the soul. We're in Ban Rong Kla now, the blossoms aren't pink yet, just light pink, about 30-40% of the cherry blossoms are in bloom. Some trees are still just starting to bloom. The flowers are starting to bloom, some are already in full bloom. Wow, the view of the wildflowers is so beautiful! There's food here too, like BBQ pork. Here's the key, sweet treats, and peanuts. Okay, we've arrived at the accommodation. It's a small hut, a bamboo house with a balcony. Breakfast will be served tomorrow. Let's go find something to eat in the market. Uncle Mak is sitting in front of the house. This is the hill tribe market. Here's a map showing the location. Let's walk around the market. It's not too late yet. Let's check out the pink village. Wow, it's pretty! They've dressed up nicely. There's grilled pork too? Look, there's a convenience store, a grocery store. This is the night market. We're in the pink village, in the valley, Ban Long Kla. There's a market, but it's starting to close now. There's a market where anyone visiting can stroll around. There are shops selling pottery and cute coffee shops, beautifully decorated, very charming. Look! This area also has things for sale, and upstairs is the Doi Suthep Night Market. A little further on is the pick-up/drop-off point for the Pu Rom Lo shuttle. Currently, private cars are not allowed up Pu Rom Lo during the cherry blossom season. You have to use the community's shuttles. Downstairs is the Ta Nui coffee shop. We've been here before. Let's go find something to eat. What should we eat? There's this shop and that shop over there. Should we go to the other shop? Let's go to the other shop first. There's also a camping area here. I want to eat chicken . And then they said, "The cat is wiping the oil." The shop has expanded, but not many people know about it. We ate at the Ta Nui coffee shop; they've expanded too. This year, 2025, they've expanded a lot. Much better than before! Oh, oh, we're eating at Tanuay Coffee, they have food too, a new zone, a new zone, looks so delicious. Last time we came, they hadn't expanded yet. Ah, the cherry blossoms are starting to bloom, but not many yet. This is the new Tanuay Coffee, how is it? Good, warm soup, warm soup, good, this one's smooth, warm soup. This is Tanuay, for those who want to know, this is Tanuay. Ah, if you come to Nong Kla's house, you can stop by and support Tanuay's shop. Here's the car to pick us up, we're going to Pu Lom Lo now. Okay, let's go! We're leaving now, 5:50, let's go! We're going to watch the sunrise, right? Hot coffee to drink. There are a lot of tourists too. Ah , the sun is about to rise. The golden light is shining on the distant peaks, that's Phu Thap Boek, the white area with the lights. The sun is about to rise. How's the weather? Cool and comfortable. Oh, the water's almost boiling. Simple, the water's starting to boil. The light is getting brighter, and more tourists are starting to arrive. What are you doing? The light's coming, let's have coffee. The coffee's ready. Yay! Back again! Yay, the weather's good. The fog is creeping in, it's all white fog. The sun was so bright just now, but now the light is fading, it's getting into the clouds. We're sitting here, it's really crooked. Oh my, the fog is everywhere! Will we even get to see the sunrise? Give me my pants! Yesterday, around 10 or 11 PM, someone announced it. The FC (fan club) too, right? But some parts were just going up the mountain. Oh, oh, the sun is rising, the golden light is blocked by the clouds, it's not golden anymore. The weather is cool and comfortable. 1 2 1 2 Move closer, please. Okay. The sun is being blocked by the clouds. How was it? The sun only came out for a split second. Okay, let's have some hot coffee while we wait for the golden light. The cars are starting to go to the cherry blossom plantation. Wow, look at the light! It's so beautiful! Wow, look at the light! It's golden, see? So beautiful. Uh, I 'm walking up to see it. This is the second person… What? Cigarettes? Oh, we're from Samut Prakan. Oh , what time did you guys come up? 5:45. We left there and arrived at 6:00 PM. The fog is so thick! The sky is clearing, but it's still so foggy at Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park. This is the light at Phu Rom Lo, above sea level. Phu Rom Lo is completely foggy right now. Actually, we can see the cherry blossom groves here, but look at it now, it's all foggy . Okay, let's continue our journey. The sky looks like it's going to be completely overcast today. It's so foggy! This year, let's ride in the back of a pickup truck! Oh , I should mention, there's a lot of fog. This tree is starting to bloom, but only a few blossoms. It should be fully bloomed by mid- January 2023. The weather is so nice. We've arrived at the cherry blossom grove. Anyone who comes after this should find it even more beautiful. Look, not many blossoms yet. This is our driver. "Okay, I'll go take pictures quickly. Park the car downstairs and wait for me." "Okay, thank you. This is our number, 111. Wait for us downstairs while we walk around and see the area. It's very foggy . The blossoms are still blooming, just a few left. Let's go look at the trees inside. These are starting to bloom more. Look, that tree over there has a lot of blossoms. Oh, it's a shame the branch is broken, but the blossoms are still pink. It 's so foggy. Oh, the branch is broken, so I got a close-up picture of the cherry blossoms. The flowers are pretty, some are blooming. Look, we have to dodge the poop! There are poop spots all along the path. Fertilizer , fertilizer for the trees! Oh, so we have to dodge cow dung while walking around the beautiful flowers. How's the atmosphere?" "The atmosphere now? The flowers aren't blooming much yet, but when there are fewer flowers, it 's kind of like a wonderland. Look, normally when we walk around, they show us the beautiful flowers, but now, look! We have to dodge the poop all the time." So, we have to walk carefully because of the puddles. That tree over there is pretty, full of flowers! Yay, this one is blooming, but it's a little fallen over, it's still pretty. Look ! I met some fans too, they're so cute, they're from Chanthaburi! Wow, it's blooming so much! Come early, it's blooming ! The sky is starting to clear up. The car is high, so there are stairs. Stairs! Let's switch to sitting in the back for a change, it'll give you a better atmosphere. Let's continue our journey with Chompoo sitting in the back. Oh , wow, this tree is beautiful, look! Oh, how is it? The weather is cool and comfortable, like we're here to see the fog today. Yes, we're here to see the fog and the light pink colors. Yes, it's a fog-seeing trip. This is the restroom. The restroom. When we came, we went up this way to see the sunrise. Sunrise, then restroom. Yes, it's a fog-seeing trip now. Okay, go to the restroom. This is our driver, what's his name again? Sak. His name is Sak, and he provides excellent service. You can also use the service at Mapu Ruamlo. It 's plot number 1. We're viewing from plot 3. We're currently on our way to plot 2 and plot 1, which has a view. There's a sign for Mapu Ruamlo, but here, plots 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 go down to Phu Khitao. Let's continue our journey. How's that for a refreshing restroom break ? Here , these are the stairs. This is plot 3. We stopped to use the restroom. Now we're at plot 2, not far from the restroom. It's a very close spot, there's a sign for the plot. Let 's continue to the next plot. While we wait, we can take pictures. There are stairs here too. The staff prepared stairs for us to take pictures closer to the flower branches for beautiful shots. It's a good idea to bring a dust mask too, there's a lot of dust. Your photos are amazing, in true Thai style! Oh, thank you so much! Here we are at the cherry blossom tree plot, plot number 2. Some trees are blooming, this is the blooming season, but not all are in bloom yet. This year, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, around mid-January. They'll be blooming with the foreign trees, but that's okay. Today, let's just consider it enjoying the fog and the flowers below. The cherry blossoms are beautiful! Wow, they're so beautiful! These are Thai cherry blossoms. We're in plot number 2. We've finished queuing. Now let's continue our trip to plot number 1, but before we go, let's stop by the roadside for a bit. Ah, some people are already sitting in the front. Let's continue our journey. This is plot number 2, from 2008. It's so refreshing. Sometimes, if there wasn't any dust, the air would be so good. It's like the air on a mountaintop, cool and refreshing. We're passing through a grove of salak and sago palms, dodging a few pine trees, and passing cherry blossoms on both sides of the road . Let's walk down to the pine grove. It 's by the cliff over there, right? We have to walk here. Let's take some pictures here first, by the cliff. Oh, this morning we went up to watch the sunrise. Here, the sky is different from the one at Pholungro. We're at plot 3 and plot 2 now. We're at the edge of the cliff, plot 1, it's windy. We're on a different side of the cliff. Over there, we can see the forest temple with the pagoda. Oh , the light is coming! The light is coming! We're at the edge of the cliff, it's a bit windy. I'm happy to be taking pictures of the view. Let's go to the next point, plot 2. We've stopped at several points already, let's keep going. It's a bit windy. We'll stop at another rocky spot on the edge of the cliff. Let 's keep going, the sun is coming! The sky is beautiful. We're going to the last plot now. The flowers are starting to bloom. This one is also beautiful. There's a lot of dust, so anyone who comes here should cover their face with a scarf to protect against the dust. But I came with few people, so I sat outside for a while. I didn't sit outside for long, but there's a lot of dust. Anyone who comes should bring a scarf to protect against the dust. This is plot 1, there's a sign and some rocks. Oh, the sky is beautiful now, a clear blue. We're walking here. Okay, from the parking lot, let's go see the last plot. We've walked to plot number 1, the imaginary plot. If you come here during the cherry blossom season, you'll see the whole valley covered in pink. It's beautiful everywhere you look, especially with the sunlight shining on the cherry blossom trees, making the pink even more vibrant and beautiful. Oh, they said this is the last plot they'll take us to, but last time we went to another place too, right? Yes, we're at Phu Rom Lo. The flowers are starting to turn pink. Today is the 10th, January 10th, 2023. I think it will be especially beautiful after the 15th. For this year, they're only blooming on some trees. It's starting to look beautiful. Oh, the pink is starting! It's dawn at Phu Rom Lo. Let 's go see plot number one. Okay, let 's go back. We have 4 hours. Oh , thank you very much. Normally, they give us 4 hours, right? Do you have a contact number? We can contact the village, right? At the club. Please contact the club directly because we are only from the club. Oh, okay. So, please contact us here. The number is 111. They don't change the number often. The service is very good, they don't rush at all. If it's the lowlands, it's beautiful because the fields are large and there are many flowers. If it's the pink blossoms, it's really beautiful here. Yes, it's about [time]. I think if it were the pink blossoms, it would be even more beautiful. Yes. When we get back down, we'll reach the lowlands at Rong Kla village. This is the night market on the mountain. This is kilometer zero. Anyone who wants to take a ride up to see the view, this is the side. We 'll go back to Rai Sai Mok. 1 km. Tanuay Cafe. Before, it was called Tanuay Coffee, now it's Tanuay Cafe. It's near Ban Huai Nam Sai School. Turn left here and you'll reach Rong Kla, the scenic spot. We've stayed there before. There's a small road going down . We're going to Sai Mok. This road runs along the cliff edge. There are small, narrow roads and detours, but during festivals it's difficult because there will be cars. The road to the park is narrow; if you fell off, you'd be cut off, so you have to drive carefully. Look at the road up – wow, it's steep! There's a bit of fog, it's really steep. The lights are beautiful . We've arrived! Mom's here. This place is beautiful too, full of flowers. These two houses are amazing when the cherry blossoms are in bloom. I highly recommend them. We're staying in this one . This room is beautiful, the flowers are gorgeous. Baan Rai Sai Mok is so beautiful, I love it. The flowers are beautiful, the view is great, the atmosphere is good, and there's a beautiful coffee shop . This is a strawberry field, it's long. There are also cosmos flowers. We're in the strawberry field, but there aren't any other flowers yet. Oh, look, the cosmos field. There are so many cold-weather flowers. I love them because of the bright colors. There are flowers everywhere! Oh, I remember your YouTube channel, Thai Style, Auntie. I've watched it before, I remember. But wherever we go on a trip, we'll know where you're going to film. I'm from the north, and you'll film the car going downhill. You'll be posting on your YouTube channel, Thai Style, too? Let's go on a trip together, okay? It's a nice, misty farmhouse. We'll walk around and film, okay? Chompoo is pretty , right? Yes , she is. Do you like it? Yes, I do. It's a nice place to stay. This place has so many flowers! How is it ? Isn't it beautiful? It's very beautiful ! The flowers are so pretty! I love every corner. Yes, the flowers are beautiful. I enjoyed taking pictures so much. This flower looks big, doesn't it? Yes , it is! Yay! A whole field of flowers! Isn't it beautiful? So many flowers! They gave us the key back, we'll remember it. We'll come back again. Bye-bye, hello! They also sell vegetables they grow on their farm here . Let's support them a little, fresh from the field! Yes, this is it. This area, the misty farmhouse , I think is the most beautiful. If anyone comes, it will be in bloom. It's almost blooming. If you come after the 15th or 20th, it should be beautiful. The cherry blossoms are in full bloom this year, 2023. Each year they bloom at a different rate. Up here, there are cherry blossoms everywhere. There's also a camping area up here. Okay, we're going now. We'll sleep in this house. We're heading back now. We stopped to buy vegetables earlier. The cabbage looks nice. Yes, it was just cut this morning. 20 baht per head. Oh, three heads of broccoli. Hmm, peas are 100 baht each. Oh, the way back will be difficult if there's oncoming traffic. Look, it's a one-way street. But if we leave before noon, there won't be much of a problem because the people staying there will arrive after noon. Let me see the tire on the car is wrecked. Hey, let's go look at the house. There are a lot of people. We 'll taste it. Because we have to steam it. It's okay. Mom already bought steamed sweet potatoes. The balloons are gone. Buy some, just a few. This is pepino melon. This one is purple. This one is purple. Purple is tastier. What color is this? This one is yellow. Oh, different colors too. Hmm, I won't eat that. I'll taste the purple one. This one is green. Didn't find it? What color is this? Yellow . This one is yellow, but… This yellow one… What did you buy? Pepino melon. This is pepino melon. I've never eaten it before. Yes, and carrots too. Giant peas! Oh yes, you can come to the market, there are lots of fruits and vegetables from the hill tribes. Here's a melon, a cold-climate fruit from South America. It's not very sweet, so get a ripe one. This one's soft, melon-like. What did you buy? I'll pop it here, almost there. Ah, that's delicious! Good, good, I'll stop by almost every stall. Shopping really spreads income, doesn't it? These are Japanese onions. Oh, Japanese onions? Yes, but they're grown here. I see they're grown here. They're Japanese onions. The onion plant itself is downstairs. It's a bit unusual, but they're grown here. Let 's go downstairs. We're going back now. Let's continue. Did you like it? Mom bought the same thing as you. Yes, 60 baht per kilo. I told Mom that this color isn't tasty. What color is it? The others aren't tasty, this color is the best. Oh, I didn't know, I just bought it because it was a strange color. I bought it because it was a strange color. Here, we're supporting Tanuay Coffee. Here's Tanuay Coffee. Let 's stop by and have Tanuay Coffee. The flowers are beautiful, aren't they? Even though they're not blooming much yet. Right? You can take pictures here too. Because we've been here a while. They're blooming, but not in full bloom yet. There need to be more flower stalks. Don't go there yet. The weather is nice, the wind is cool. Look, the cherry blossoms are here. Here's coffee too. Bread too. They're selling well, there are a lot of people. This is the pick-up and drop-off point. We went to Phu Thap Boek from Ban Rong Kla. We're heading back now. We need to dodge the cars because we're letting people through slowly. It was a very memorable trip to Ban Rong Kla and Phu Thap Boek. Even though we arrived before the cherry blossoms were in full bloom , we were still able to admire the pink blossoms of some trees. The good thing about arriving early was that we got to admire the beautiful red apple leaves. We also met fans and followers who greeted and chatted with us, which was very heartwarming . The flowers in Ban Rong Kla are being developed and improved every year. The resorts and homestays are trying to plant beautiful flowers and improve their camping areas. Just taking pictures of other flowers, the colors are so vibrant and beautiful. We're going to Phu Thap Boek on the 23rd. We'll head back via Phu Thap Boek . We're going to stop at Phu Thap Boek. We've just left the checkpoint. This spot looks like a new plantation. Actually, there's a market here, but the market over there… what's it called? On the right is Phu Thap Boek. This checkpoint, we have to veer left to go to Phu Thap Boek. Let's stop at Phu Thap Boek first and buy some things. Let's circle around first. Normally we stop at the shops on the other side, but there are so many shops here. Why didn't we stop at the shops on this side? Usually, the shops on this side are the ones we stop at, but they're closed. I'm so confused. Oh, they're open! We'll go back and buy more. Let's circle around first. Look, there's so much stuff. We stopped at Phu Thap Boek. We'll buy some more things, like fruits and vegetables from the mountain . We stopped at Phu Thap Boek for some shopping. Let's go shopping and ask about the prices. Phu Thap Boek is all about shopping. There's so much stuff. We stopped here again to enjoy the view and let Chompoo do a little more shopping. She wanted to stop here. This way is the Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park. We're at Phu Thap Boek. The sun is shining, the light is good, but the air is cool and the view is amazing. Phu Thap Boek is always a place where you feel relaxed. We can see Pha Tat in the distance. Wow, it's so clear today. The sky is clear, the view is great, right? The sun is shining. Look, the sky is clear, we can see Pha Tat all the way in the distance. Oh, look, that's a new hat! We're driving around and eating all the way. Big strawberries! Where did you get all this from? Where did you buy it from? Look! I bought it. Have you washed it yet? Not yet, I just bought it from the shop a moment ago. Fresh from the garden, but I think I'll wash it. Mmm, it 's so juicy! Mmm, delicious ! Mom, eat some! Not yet, because I already collected the toll fee. We have to collect the toll fee first. Okay, let's go. Let's continue our journey to Phu Thap Boek. We're going to the old potholes, numbers 25 and 34. It's full of all sorts of things. Every time we come here, we change everything. Nice houses too. Nice rooms. Phu Thap Boek. This is January 10th, 2025. You can see Pha Tat cliff in the distance clearly. The sky is clear today. It's cold. We're at Phu Thap Boek. Here's an update for you to see in 2025. Looks good. We're at Phu Thap Boek. This road is very winding, so we stopped to look. Behind us is Pha Tat cliff. In front of us is the road, and then we go down to the bottom, it's incredibly winding. Okay, here we are. There are cars going up and down here. Look at this hill. Tourists are gradually coming up. It's 2:26 PM now . We're using low gear to go down. Using engine braking is safer. No need to speed, drive slowly , gradually climb down. The car has a service center all the way down. This hill, they actually call it… I like to call it… the submarine hill. It's all curves, like a king's curve. We've arrived back at the bottom zone. I'll update you on what's happening. I'll drive down and keep filming. This is the latest update. It's broken here too. But they'll replace it with a new one. The road up and down is constantly being repaired, but it depends on how long the repair takes and what kind of repair it is. If it's badly damaged, they'll just rebuild it. We've arrived at the bottom. There's something for sale here. Want to stop? Okay, let's stop. You can stop here for a while. This is sweet tamarind. We'll stop by here later. Okay, let's walk over. It looks like all the tamarind is fresh today. Hmm, it's not dry yet, right? It's not completely dry, it's still kind of like pork. Oh, and does it need to be stored for a long time? You can store it, but you don't need to finish it. Just put the basket in an open area. What are you buying? The golden colored one, right? Yes, because it's popular and has a low spoilage percentage. And it's sweet. How is it? It's delicious. This one is pretty good. The price is as follows. The flesh is fragrant. Try it. I've never eaten this before because there aren't many left. It's sweet and slightly sour, but… yes, it's delicious. Like this one from Phetchabun. It's delicious, it's fragrant. It's a bit expensive, 160 baht. Delicious! Now we're going to eat Khanom Jeen (rice noodles) at Lom Tak first. We're here, it's nearby, so let's stop by for a bit, then we'll loop back towards Phetchabun to continue on to Chonburi. This is Lom Tak Municipality. The sky is so clear. We're in Lom Tak town now. We're at the roundabout with the clock tower . It's 3:00 PM. One minute, two minutes, we'll turn left. 500 baht for Khanom Jeen (Thai rice noodles) . We're having Khanom Jeen, the only one in the shop. The price is as follows. Khanom Jeen. What kind of sauce is this? Southern sauce. This is the Southern sauce. This is the jungle sauce. This is the jungle sauce. Coconut milk sauce. Coconut milk sauce with chili paste . This is the sweet chili paste. Sweet chili paste, okay. This is the herbal sauce . Hehe. And some peanuts. Thai papaya salad with egg ? Yes, regular Thai papaya salad. This is the green onion, you only get to eat it in winter. In the north, they call it "pak khi hut". Oh, "pak khi hut" in the north . Let's add some catfish. Boiled catfish from Phetchabun . It's been a long time. Mmm, so refreshing. I want to eat it. Yes, my dad gave it to me . How is it? Missed it ? Missed it? Fried crab meatballs. This is fried chicken with lemongrass. May your business prosper and may you have good health. Okay, I'll visit again. Okay. This is my regular shop. Thank you. We're going towards Nam Nao district, not straight ahead. We'll stop by Phetchabun to take care of some errands before heading back home to Huai Yai, Phetchabun. It's past that point, so we'll take the good side of the road towards Chonburi. We're leaving Phetchabun just as the sun is setting. This has been such a happy and heartwarming road trip through Northern Thailand. We've fulfilled all our desires, starting with Mae Kampong, strolling through the central market, and relaxing by the stream, enjoying the refreshing flow of water. We'll visit San Pa Kia and Doi Mae Ta Man to admire the stunning views of Doi Luang Chiang Dao – the cool, refreshing air is truly invigorating. We'll visit Lai Cha 2,000 to see the beautiful white and pink cherry blossoms on the terraced hills. We'll visit Doi Ang Khang, a classic beauty that impresses me every time I visit. We'll camp on the mountain at Baan Lek Pa Yai in Doi Phra Hom Pok National Park to see the pink cherry blossoms – it's truly refreshing. We'll drive to Phu Rom Lo, Ban Long Kla to see the Thai cherry blossoms at the beginning of the season – the largest cherry blossom plantation in Thailand. Finally, we'll stop at Phu Thap Boek and eat Khanom Jeen Lom Sak in Phetchabun before heading back to Chonburi. This has been such a heartwarming road trip with my mother and wife. Enjoy your journey with peace of mind and happiness. Don't forget to take your loved ones on a trip together!
