【一人旅飲みVLOG】タイ🇹🇭チェンマイ①|英語できないけど、料理教室とドイステープ半日ツアー参加&グルメにビール

Enjoying a solo trip to Chiang Mai Sawasdee Ka (hello) I'm a traveler and this time I'm going to Chiang Mai, Thailand!! I traveled from Luang Prabang, Laos to Chiang Mai, Thailand on a propeller plane . I had taken a propeller plane when I went to Okinoerabu Island this year, but it was a small plane, so small that I nearly hit my head on it (ouch) . I'm a little nervous… we're at a low altitude, so I hope it doesn't churn… but the scenery is beautiful . I can see the old town of Luang Prabang. Once again, it was a very relaxing town ♡ Goodbye, Laos, I'll come again ♡ I was given calories, which was delicious, but thanks to that I was full until the evening… This is my third time in Thailand, but this is my first time in Chiang Mai, and I'm excited and looking forward to being in an unfamiliar place. It was a comfortable flight with almost no turbulence. I entered the country safely . They just checked my return ticket and no one asked me anything, so the bus didn't come, so I took a taxi to the hotel. It was about 15 minutes to the hotel in the old town, about 350 yen. The taxi fare was cheap, so I was grateful. I didn't know the hotel and was dropped off just before it. When I travel alone for a long time, I tend to talk to myself a lot… I haven't been speaking Japanese for a while, so my words sound strange . Oh, but that doesn't mean I can't speak English. I'm directionally challenged, so I get lost even with my smartphone and don't know which way I'm going, right? The hotel sign can be difficult to find, so it's a good idea to check out the exterior of the hotel beforehand. Check-in completed. When staying at a hotel on a long trip, value for money is the priority. This room cost about 2,500 yen per night. I no longer have the energy to stay in a dormitory, so it's helpful that even private rooms in Chiang Mai are cheap. The hotel is well cleaned, the water pressure is good, and the hot water is also good . As long as you can get water, you'll be fine! lol It seems like you can even check the weather through the narrow window. I've been feeling the power of a rain girl since I arrived. It's mid-October and it's still the rainy season, so it's been pouring with squalls, but the rain has stopped, so I'm taking a walk around the neighborhood. I heard a loud noise and thought it was something , but it turned out to be Muay Thai . I've arrived at Tha Pae Gate, a famous tourist spot. It 's huge . The red brick walls are lit up and it's beautiful . It seems like a great photo spot in the daytime, so I'll come and see it tomorrow. I was full from the calorie cookies, but I'm finally getting hungry, so I'd like to go out for dinner. The moat is beautiful, but the town is darker than I expected, and I feel like I might fall… You have to be careful after drinking . I had a restaurant I looked up on YouTube, roast pork rice (the taste was average…). Everyone was eating their famous porridge… Water here is at your own risk, and surprisingly… there's no alcohol… my mood's down … I got it . Today I'm going to drink quietly in my room. It was a bit of a dangerous area that seems a bit scary to drink alone. From tomorrow, I'll check the drink menu, choose a restaurant, and then have a debriefing. Good night. Good morning. Today I'll walk around the old town and sightsee. First, I'll fill my stomach. Revenge for yesterday. Everyone is eating. I ordered the porridge, which is what the locals eat. I decided to go with the safe option of chicken. The thick porridge had a mild flavor, perfect for breakfast. It was different from Chinese porridge and had a delicious egg topping . The appetite was more important than the photo…the angle… I recommend the porridge ♡ Try the porridge!!! It wasn't too hot, and the weather was nice. Even though it was porridge, I was full of rice, so I decided to take a little walk. Really, really . As I was walking, I saw many impressive temples, so I stopped by. It didn't seem like a famous temple, but it was great for taking photos. There were a lot of busy tourists. It seems to have been built around the 14th century, and the main hall is new, but the old pagoda towers over it, creating a lovely atmosphere. The cats were colorful and cute . It was quiet and relaxing. How to cross the crosswalk: Press the button to alert drivers with your eyes (this is important). Hurry up ! The light is still green, but be careful of the rush . I also walked… I was thirsty, so this is also a famous restaurant among tourists . Don't worry! I checked the drink menu this time! I don't understand Thai, but this is something that goes well with beer ♡ The beer isn't super cheap, but prices are high. Thailand has strict drinking hours from 11am to 2pm and 5pm to midnight. I was so craving it I took a sip, but let's toast . The papaya salad tasted even better since I couldn't drink it last night. It was delicious with the sauce ! Chicken and beer is the perfect combination! The som tam was refreshing with lots of garlic, and the beer went down well . It was a great place for daytime drinking. We arrived at the famous temple. I thought it was a dragon, but it turned out to be a snake, Chikel? That was a bit close! It was dazzlingly gold. The temple is almost all sparkling. It was so hot that I took a cafe break. I loved it so much I came back three times after that. It was delicious, and I even bought some souvenirs. Tha Phae Gate, which I also visited last night, is a terrifying photo spot. I gathered pigeons and let them fly!!!! I don't understand what's going on, I don't feel like taking pictures in there, there seems to be a lot of bacteria so I left. I took a rest at the hotel and thought I could walk to dinner but it was quite far away. The restaurant was lively , I took a photo and ordered on my smartphone, it came with ice which was convenient, this was fine, I forgot to take a picture of the ice beer scene, the crispy pork was crunchy and delicious , the sauce was spicy and went well with it, it wasn't greasy and made a great snack , perfect with beer, I couldn't stop drinking it , this corn salad was like a corn version of som tam, the corn was sweet and very delicious, thank you for the meal, it looked like there was still time to play, so I headed to the night market – I guess the selection is the same everywhere , well I didn't buy anything but it was fun looking around, after the meal I had something refreshing for dessert, a smoothie , dragon fruit, I'm addicted to this travel , it's said to be good for swelling so I'm looking forward to the effect! Day 3 Good morning! Right away, I traveled in a car with a sense of freedom. Today I participated in a Thai cooking class, starting with a tour of the market, I was the only Japanese person there, and it was like an English conversation class because it was an English tour. I can only understand English when I see it, but they said it was a club… Well, it's manageable even if you don't speak English. As long as I confirm the meeting time and place, there's no problem! I arrived. I love Thai food and make it at home, so I'll make sure I remember it well before I go home!! We each made three dishes from this menu. It was very diverse . I got the impression that there were a lot of tourists from Korea and China. A stone mortar seems essential for herbs and spices in Asian cuisine . Following the Laotian cooking class, I continued mashing. It seems like you need a stone to make Thai food… I don't think you can bring it all back with just a backpack. The green curry paste was complete. The preparation was complete. I added the tom yum goong coconut milk. The smell was great. Everyone around me was excited. Of course, it's hard to be this excited on a non-alcoholic drink in the morning. I quietly made the green curry. It was delicious. The gapao rice was also delicious. It was interesting, and I recommend it! Day 4 Today I joined a sightseeing tour. It would be difficult to go alone and the transportation costs would be high, so I recommend joining a tour. The guide had a slightly Japanese feel to it. The moss was lovely, and it was nice that the guide took photos on a tour. He was also good at photography . This is a stop on the way to the most famous Doi Suthep Temple. Many Thai temples are sparkly, but this one has a calm atmosphere and I liked it. I'm glad I wouldn't have come if it wasn't for a tour, so I was happy. The elephants were so soothing and cute . It would be difficult to come if it wasn't for a tour, so I was very satisfied. Moving on to the next place. The Polish people on the tour were tasting some kind of alcohol, and they were buying up a lot of traditional clothing. I think the kids said we could take photos with them for a tip. We arrived at the famous Chiang Mai place. There were stairs, but the elevator ticket was included, so we were lucky. We had a beautiful view of the city. The altitude was high, so it was cool. Inside the temple, barefoot and sparkling, it seems to be famous as a power spot. The guide told us how to get a fortune, and when we tried it, the guide gave us a wry smile. Apparently , we fell from a tree. What does that mean?? Anyway, it only said bad things lol. Well, we didn't climb any trees, so it's okay! lol. Let's travel with confidence! The tour was fun and I got to hear the explanations. My understanding wasn't great, but I recommend it for solo travelers to Doi Suthep! They dropped me off for lunch. Thailand's food courts are cheap and delicious , and the food is easy to understand. It didn't look like the picture, but I had gapow rice. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any alcohol in the food court, but it was still delicious. It was a stylish spot with lots of cute souvenir shops. I went back to the hotel for a rest, but I forgot my fortune slip, so I took a motorbike taxi to the night market . Room -temperature sushi , properly prepared fish, and not teppanyaki . It seems like I'd need some practice to eat it, so I headed to an area where I thought I could eat it. It seemed fine around here, so I bought this . It looked delicious, so I'll go here! I think it was pork trotter rice and a toast. I got beer from a convenience store. I'd seen so much "Gold" I naturally bought a Gold beer. It wasn't too hot, so it was just the right temperature for beer. The meat was tender, the seasoning was perfect, and it went down well with both the beer and the food. My first time in Chiang Mai at night was a little scary, but it's quieter than Bangkok, cheaper, and I loved it. ♡ It's perfect for a laid-back traveler like me, and the food is delicious too! Starting tomorrow I'm going to a Thai traditional massage school and will be staying overnight to learn massage, which I'm looking forward to. I bought some fruit for dessert, which is apparently called pomelo. It has a light taste and not much water . It tastes like grapefruit, so I think one bite will be enough… I'll be careful on my way home at night . Thank you for joining me!
