Keiyo Road Ichihara SA (outbound) It’s filled with a tropical atmosphere After breakfast, it’s time for a coffee break I discovered a “coffee jam” I’ve never seen before I’m curious about this Local “Kaki no Tane”!? I’m curious about “Sakura shrimp” This time, it is said to be
the “latest autumn foliage in Japan” to Yoro Valley (Chiba Prefecture) Let’s start with lunch I thought about “soba” but it was closed. Actually, there is another restaurant I want to try “BONJASKY curry.” A restaurant where you can
enjoy authentic Sri Lankan curry I want to try all kinds of curry! I ordered the “Special” which is a full set (3 kinds) First, “Umbalaka Keema Curry” The umami of the minced meat
and the bonito broth are effective The onion pickles are a nice accent Next up is “Creamy Chicken Curry” Enjoy a change of flavor with homemade chili oil Finally, “Chinese cabbage
and pork ginger coconut curry” (Today’s curry) It was the most delicious curry 👍 Across the road is Sasagawa Dam The autumn leaves look like this Apparently the cherry blossoms here
are spectacular in spring Now, let’s head to the waterfall that has earned it
the reputation of being “the world of Ghibli!” Suddenly, beautiful maple trees are right in front of us! Walk down a gentle slope for about 10 minutes “Nomizo Falls and Kameiwa Cave” This tunnel was dug by humans to create rice paddies These are remains of civil engineering works
carried out by people in the Edo period We visited around 2pm, so it was dark In the early morning light, it is said that
you can see a mysterious view People back then probably never imagined
it would become such a tourist destination It’s a magnificent excavation A boardwalk stretches out
from just in front of the waterfall A wonderful boardwalk where you can enjoy
the valley of autumn leaves Walking along the boardwalk is fun,
hearing the sound of your feet Above is the parking lot It’s a “provocative” banner Let’s take it on 😤 “Furindo” “Kimitsu Pudding” 350 yen ※At the time of shoot This type has caramel sauce added later. This area is famous for eggs, so I guess it’s pudding? Hard type pudding with a rich flavor. Arriving at today’s Guesthouse “Yoro Onsen Black Hot Spring Inn Sagawa (Sagawa)” Now, a quick room tour Japanese-style room with wide veranda Relax in a nostalgic atmosphere After enjoying the coffee-colored black water,
it’s time for dinner The meal is “Sagawa specialty boar hotpot plan” The meal is the “Sagawa Specialty Boar Hot Pot Plan.” It’s We were surprised at the variety,
from mountain delicacies to seafood The proprietress’ special “sweet potato potage” Fluffy texture and rich creamy ! “Braised tuna loin” “Grilled salted sweetfish” “Flounder galette with special lemon sauce” There’s even a Western-style dish 👍 The crispy potatoes on the outside are delicious ! what is this?? It was “sauteed venison” It’s light but has a strong flavor Even so, this potage is excellent Each appetizer is also carefully prepared This type of dish goes well with sake “Local sake tasting set” 1,500 yen ※At the time of photo “Koshigoi” Katsuura City,
Chiba Prefecture / Yoshino Sake Brewery It’s a refreshing drink that goes down smoothly Grunt, hairtail, and tuna sashimi The yellow thing is an egg Goes well with sake The “boar hotpot” is ready! Miso-based soup stock Wild and delicate flavor This is a hotpot of yuba. The hardened film on the surface is “yuba” When you eat one, the next one comes… An endless loop of yuba The smoothness and mellow sweetness
of soy milk are the best 😌 It was a very satisfying dinner I bought a can of beer
and that thing I bought at the SA… Delicious! Goes well with beer 😝 I’m preparing for tomorrow Before going to bed,
enjoy the “black water” one more time Good morning We’d like to enjoy Yoro Valley until breakfast time Get up early and be prepared It was dark last night and I didn’t notice,
but the autumn leaves are spectacular ! It’s early in the morning, so it’s cold. The parking lots around here will fill up quickly Kannonbashi Bridge, a 5-minute walk from the inn This is a two-section arched bridge
with impressive vermilion railings Once you cross this bridge,
the road to Rikkokuji Temple continues. A well-maintained trail leads up the mountain Go through a short tunnel Shusse Kannon “Yorosan Rikkokuji Temple”
“Shusse” is a success After being defeated in the Battle of Ishibashiyama
(Kanagawa Prefecture), Minamoto no Yoritomo fled here
and barricaded himself inside. Praying for recovery,
he fought again with the help of many people After that, he is said to have pacified the country This is the reason why it is called
“Shusse (success)Kannon” The sound of sutra chanting echoes
solemnly in the quiet morning grounds We also wish to pray for succes Return to the inn and have breakfast A classic style breakfast at a traditional inn. Our specialty, “Boar Curry,” shakes up the classics Happy with freshly cooked rice 😌 It’s shiny and looks delicious ! Overall it was a delicious curry The food was more substantial than I expected,
and I was very satisfied with the inn Next, we head to the scenic spot “Awamata Falls.” “Awamata Falls” is about a 10-minute
drive from the inn We are glad stayed at an easily accessible inn Here too, there are amazing autumn leaves
in the parking lot It’s really beautiful in the soft morning light Popular gelateria “YAMANEKO” This may be the cat that inspired the character
“YAMANEKO” Another cat checking out the situation To get to the waterfall,
take the promenade from the road It’s a steep downhill slope The water is cleaner than I expected It’s fantastic “Awamata Falls” It is an elegant waterfall with water
gliding down the gentle rock face I found a small fish! Walk along the promenade
while soaking up negative ions Some areas are impassable
due to landslides caused by the typhoon I would love to visit again once it’s restored A wonderful autumn scene Paid rest area It’s good for cooling off in the summer We reached the top of the waterfall “YAMANEKO Gelateria” Use local seasonal vegetables and fruits
and are particular about the ingredients Triple (1 premium type) 800 yen ※At the time of shoot Choose from “Chiba Milk,” “Burnt Buttermilk,”
and “Premium Japanese Chestnuts” First, premium Japanese chestnuts It has the gentle taste of chestnuts “Chiba Milk”is refreshing yet rich “Burnt Buttermilk” has a fragrant caramel-like flavor Gelato with a spectacular view😌 The interior is clean and sophisticated It was delicious! Before noon, tourists start arriving one after another The parking lot is almost full Our next destination is the castle town of Otaki Castle Castle town street in Otaki town It flourished as a castle town around Otaki Castle,
whose lord was Honda Tadakatsu,
one of the Tokugawa Four Heavenly Kings The old townscape still retains the atmosphere
of the time,so you can enjoy a historical stroll Have lunch before walking around “Restaurant & Cafe Sasurai” This is a Western restaurant loved by locals I’m looking at the menu and there’s only one option
that I’m looking for “Adult Lunch” (2,480 yen) *At the time of shoot Hamburger steak, omelet rice, crab cream croquette,
Napolitan, fried shrimp, fried chicken,
and even octopus sausages It’s truly a dream collaboration
between Western food all-stars The great thing about it is that
it’s served on a piping hot iron plate It’s great that you can try
a little bit of each popular dish This is the first octopus sausage
I’ve had since I was a child We also ordered Neapolitan as a single item (1,000 yen)
※At the time of shoot The chewy noodles go perfectly with ketchup I ate it all. I’m full now! Thank you for the meal! I ate a lot, so I want to walk a lot We parked our car in a municipal parking lot
that was convenient for walking around A friendly cat welcomed us “Otaki Town Tourism Association Information Center” There is an exhibition of armor in the back The helmet I tried on was made of cardboard Isumi Railway “Otaki Station” Isumi Railway service was suspended
due to the derailment Transportation is now provided by replacement buses I want to take a walk around the town First, walk along Castle Town Street There are rows of old merchant houses
and other houses, creating a lovely landscape There are few tourists,
so you can hear the sounds of local life Isumi River Promenade This is the Isumi River It is a rare meandering river,
and its catchment area is the largest in Chiba Prefecture
(excluding the Tone River) I heard before that they have delicious monaka
(Japanese sweet filled with red bean paste) I’ve always wanted to come here,
so I’m looking forward to it “Tsuchiya Confectionery” In addition to monaka,
there are a variety of other Japanese sweets on display,
and customers keep coming in I bought the famous “Monaka Jumangoku” Toyonotsuru Sake Brewery,
located right next to Tsuchiya The wooden building on the premises
was built in the early Meiji period and is registered
as a national tangible cultural property This is where the local sake “Otakijo” is produced There were so many different types of sake
to choose from, but I decided on
“Otaki Castle Special Junmai Sake Namazake”! I’m looking forward to trying this new brand! To my delight,
the locals gave me persimmons and sudachi citrus headed to Otaki Castle, the final destination of this trip. It’s brave not to react to “Churu” Am I being watched? A castle town-like public telephone Continue along Mexico Street I’m curious about the origin of the name I can see the castle beyond the trees ahead Otaki Castle “Otaki Castle, large well at the site of the main keep” It remains on the grounds of Otaki High School
(where the Ninomaru citadel once stood) It was also called the “bottomless well.” To the historical site located within the campus
of the same high school The historic site “Yakuimon Gate”
can be seen in the distance on the right It is the only surviving remains of the castle building It’s interesting that
there’s a historical site on campus I can’t wait for the Isumi Railway to reopen I really wanted to ride this I’ll be heading home with a promise to visit again My impression of this trip is that
I was surprised by the delicious food! And it’s easy to get around, with everything
from popular tourist spots to hidden gems I was able to enjoy the autumn leaves,
which are said to be the latest in Japan It’s souvenir “tasting time” First, I’ll try the “Monaka Jumankoku” It’s very heavy The volume of bean paste is amazing! Mmm, this is surprisingly delicious 😳 The bean paste melts in my mouth! I’m so impressed Tadaaa🎶 “MAX COFFEE Jam” and “Peanut Cream”
bought at a service area “MAX COFFEE” is a canned coffee
beloved in Chiba Prefecture The taste of that canned coffee is reproduced in jam The peanut cream is made with peanuts
from Chiba Prefecture Good sound! It’s a characterized by its sweet and rich taste,
due to the large amount of condensed milk used It’s a very sticky jam It’s delicious! The grainy texture is also interesting Use beans roasted with the skin on Highly fragrant and fluffy, mousse-like texture A luxurious cream that preserves
the original flavor of the ingredients All the products were perfect as souvenirs
