【鎌倉ひとり旅】アクセス便利🚃コスパ良くて可愛い藤沢のホテルに泊まった癒し旅【エイトホテル湘南藤沢】

November marks the beginning of a mini-winter. I’ve come to a place that holds fond memories for me. It’s been decades since I’ve been to Kamakura Station . Since Komachi-dori, the shopping street in front of the station, seems very crowded, I’m taking the approach to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. A belated hello, this is “Zumi.” I recently moved, so I took a different Shinkansen train than usual. The autumn leaves on the mountains were beautiful from the train window. I arrived! They were just having a wedding! It was a beautiful sunny day. Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine is a place associated with Minamoto no Yoritomo, the first shogun of the Kamakura shogunate. Many people still visit to pray for safety in battle, good harvests, and family happiness, and even today, many people come to pray for the fulfillment of their wishes. The approach to the shrine apparently continues straight from Yuigahama Beach. Kamakura Beniya Komachi Yokoji Branch: This is the cafe of Kamakura Beniya, famous for its Kurumikko. I was lucky enough to find a seat. The lineup looked cute and delicious! I was tempted to go with the 680 yen pie and 440 yen juice parfait, but I settled on this one to satisfy my hunger. The flaky pastry was topped with melty custard cream. Apparently, the cream is squeezed fresh to order. (Sorry, the photo doesn’t look very appetizing.) We arrived at our hotel for the night! Since a stay near Kamakura Station was over my budget, I chose a hotel near Fujisawa Station, which is easily accessible. The atmosphere was casual and cute. So, I checked in. I chose my amenities at the front desk. The 11th and 12th floors are club floors. The sauna seems popular (I didn’t use it). I wonder what my room will be like ! It has a painting! It has a stylish feel. The desk and the light are cute, reminding me of my study desk. Am I the only one who thinks the walls remind me of my own room? There’s a clothes rack and slippers next to the entrance. The cups and coasters are cute, too. I booked breakfast, so I’m looking forward to it. It seems like they offer fresh vegetables. I also had some tea. I opened the refrigerator and found water! The photos on the booking website gave a simple impression, but the illustrations on the wall and the cute cups gave it a casual and stylish atmosphere, which I’m glad about. Let’s take a look at the bathroom. It’s a standard bathroom . The bottles are cute. Even the toothbrushes have a logo. There are two types of shampoo: a refreshing one and a moisturizing one. I stayed on a weekday and it cost about 9,000 yen with breakfast. Using Rakuten points and a coupon, I was able to get it for 7,700 yen. Good value. To get to Kamakura, you need to transfer at Ofuna Station on the JR line. (The Enoshima Electric Railway’s Fujisawa Station is nearby.) The loungewear was a one-piece dress. I don’t think there’s a view. I open it. There isn’t. I went shopping for dinner. Since it’s close to Fujisawa Station, there are plenty of convenience stores and other shops. I changed into my loungewear. I was looking for something to eat out, but I was tired, so I bought some at the supermarket. It was a seafood bowl and salad. I’ll have a beer too. Cheers! Wow, it’s delicious! It’s refreshing and tasty. A beer from Yo-Ho Brewing in Karuizawa. It had a light aroma of lemon, muscat grapes, and herbs. Yo-Ho Brewing is delicious, isn’t it? It was November, but it was just as hot as I’d hoped. The tuna was incredibly tasty. I wasn’t expecting much because it was on sale at the supermarket, but it was absolutely delicious. Because it was on sale, the vinegared rice was a little hard. One of the great things about traveling solo is being able to eat whatever you want in your room when you’re not really in the mood to eat outside. Maybe I was tired from all the travel today? I felt like eating quietly in the hotel rather than in the hustle and bustle outside. That happens sometimes, doesn’t it? It’s the next morning. I’m off for breakfast! It was a half-buffet, and I could choose between a hot dog or bread for my main course. The soup and salad were free-flowing. It felt like a casual hotel overseas. I chose corn soup, bread, yogurt, cereal, and salad. Orange juice was the drink. Coffee was also available. Let’s eat! Since I’d been eating Japanese food at the hotel breakfast, the bread was fresh. The croutons served separately were a nice touch. The corn soup was warming! The salad vegetables were fresh! They also had carrot rapée and sauerkraut. I love sweet and sour flavors, so that was great. I think they even had a toaster to warm bread. I decided to dip it in the corn soup. There were three types of soup! Thank you for your help! Today, I’m seriously sightseeing in Kamakura! The Enoshima Electric Railway Fujisawa Station is just a short walk from the hotel. Come to think of it, this hotel was one of my options. The crosswalk without a traffic light is a little difficult to cross. I went up the stairs to the second floor and entered the station. Enoshima Electric Railway Fujisawa Station. First, I headed to Kamakura High School. The Enoshima Electric Railway accepts credit cards. Walking through the residential area also feels like the Enoshima Electric Railway. It’s great to be able to see the ocean from the train! The ocean at Kamakura High School Station is so beautiful ! I wanted to see that place famous in the anime… and there’s a viewing area so as not to obstruct traffic. By the way, stopping and taking photos was prohibited on the other side of the road. I can see Enoshima! (I’ve never been there properly…) Oh, the train is coming. I played that scene and song from the anime in my head. Lol. I walked toward Shichirigahama. I thought it would be nice to jog here. It would also be a good place for a morning stroll. I arrived at a cafe I’d researched, but the sign was a little hard to find. After climbing the spiral staircase, I found… wow, what a view! The Shichirigahama window seats were taken. The pancakes looked delicious, but it was a little too early for lunch. I had a cafe latte for 748 yen . They seem to use their own roasted beans. It was easy to drink. The other customers seemed to be foreigners, except for me. The relaxed atmosphere and beautiful view made me relax. I hadn’t actually planned to stop by Shichirigahama, which was just a short walk away , but the view of the ocean from the cafe I’d just been to was so beautiful… It’s been a while since I’ve been to the beach, so I decided to soak in the view. Actually, Kamakura is where I first traveled solo. When I was a student, things weren’t going well and I suddenly had the urge to travel. I remember staying at a manga cafe without even deciding on a hotel. Looking back, it was just an escape from reality, but any reason to travel is fine, right? Since then, the hurdle of solo travel has been lowered significantly. I arrived at Hase Station. Kamakura Great Buddha Hall, Kotoku-in. Admission fee: 300 yen. As expected, it’s a popular spot, so there are a lot of people. The height including the base is said to be 13.35m. You can also enter the interior of the Great Buddha from behind for 50 yen. The straw sandals are huge! The sunlight shining on them makes their back view even more impressive! I arrived at Kamakura Station. There were so many people, even though it was a weekday! I found a nice restaurant in an alley off Komachi-dori! (Japanese Dining Vacances) The seafood bowl at the supermarket is nice, but I wanted to eat at a proper restaurant. Everything looked delicious, it was hard to choose. They also had alcohol, so dinner seemed good too. After much deliberation, I decided on this place The aged tuna and whitebait bowl set for 1,958 yen includes two side dishes and miso soup. It’s a reasonable price for a tourist destination! Let’s eat! The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. They called it “karakake mame” (karakake beans). I wondered what it was, and when I looked it up, I found out it’s a type of green soybean named after its pattern resembling a horse’s saddle. Kamakura is synonymous with whitebait, and it’s fluffy and delicious! The aged tuna… it’s full of flavor, without any fishy smell , and it’s satisfying and delicious! The restaurant’s exterior looks like this. It’s located one block off Komachi-dori, giving it a hidden gem feel. There are only a few counter seats and table seats, so it might fill up quickly. I went there when there were no customers, but it filled up soon after. There are many interesting restaurants in the area. They all look delicious. Now, full. I head to a spot about a 25-minute walk from Kamakura Station. I really wanted to stroll down Komachi-dori, but there were so many people… I don’t remember it being that crowded when I first traveled solo… The place I’m heading to now is also a classic spot. It’s a short walk from Kamakura Station. I recommend wearing sneakers when traveling . The last slope is a bit tough… Zeniarai Benten Ugajin Shrine I remember it being decades ago, but I wonder if there was a cave like this? Coming back after so long feels fresh again. A candle, colander, and incense set for 200 yen . To improve my fortune, I pray with my heartfelt prayer. I put some money in the colander and quickly washed it. Pray, pray, pray. Bonus : A photo of me getting changed. Is this a good place to stop? How many times should I go around… Should I stop here… After changing … Thank you for watching until the end!
