【日本人口最少縣市⁉️】鳥取縣根本超好玩!🇯🇵柯南粉聖地×鳥取砂丘×千年溫泉×必吃美食

Hello everyone In this video, we are in Tottori Prefecture, Japan For most people, Tottori should be a very unfamiliar place. Not many know what is famous here. I also don’t know what activities can be enjoyed here. But actually, Tottori Prefecture has a lot of interesting attractions. You can also enjoy delicious seafood at very affordable prices. Let’s take a look at how to have fun in this least populated prefecture in Japan~ We have come to Tottori this time. Let’s talk about what Tottori has. Tottori has sand dunes, Conan, and hot springs! So our main purpose this time is the sand dunes, Conan, and the hot springs. Then we will be in Tottori for three days and two nights. That’s because we drove here ourselves. So actually, on the first day and the last day, we probably spend half the time driving. We have now arrived in Tottori City. What’s the English word for sand dune? Dune~ Sand Dune~ The most representative attraction in Tottori Prefecture is definitely the Tottori Sand Dunes. We have also arranged to take a stroll here as our first stop. But actually, there is another attraction next to the Tottori Sand Dunes that is even more worth visiting. That is the Sand Art Museum Now it’s the 16th exhibition ‘World Travel with Sand – Japan’ Looking forward to it! Let’s take a look~ The Sand Museum features sand sculpture exhibitions themed around countries from around the world. We were lucky that when we visited, it was the Japan exhibition. The sand sculpture created by multiple artists is truly spectacular. The themes include Japanese mythological stories, world heritage, historical tales, and more. From the composition to the details of the characters’ expressions, everything is very delicate. I never thought sand sculptures could be so beautiful. I happened to encounter Japan’s three-day weekend, although it’s still very early. There are already a lot of visitors inside the art museum The exhibition period at the Sand Museum is usually measured in years If you miss this Japanese exhibition The next exhibition is the Spain exhibition, which will surely be very exciting~ It looks quite big from this angle~ It’s really big~ After leaving the Sand Museum, we arrived at the nearby Tottori Sand Dunes. The Tottori Sand Dunes are a special protected area within the San’in Kaigan National Park. It is the largest tourist sand dune in Japan. It is highly recommended to wear more comfortable shoes and clothing if you want to walk on the sand dunes. Are you going to walk over there? Just walk over there~ So we need to go over there!? The clearly elevated area ahead is the Horseback Dune. Although it’s only a short 400 meters from the entrance, it’s actually very difficult to walk because it’s all soft sand. The height of the Horseback Dune is about 47 meters. Converted to floors, it’s roughly equivalent to a 15-story building, and quite a few tourists climb up. But it’s really very hard to climb. Why doesn’t this person wait for me and instead works hard to climb up by themselves? I don’t believe he can capture this scene like that. This is crazy! It’s too steep… As expected, he can’t hold the camera. Almost there~ It’s so hard for an adult man to climb like this. The people next to him are also trying very hard. (Keep going! Keep going! You can do it! You made it!!!) I made it up!!! (M’s! So tired! For a moment I thought I was going to die…) The scenery is so beautiful~ This way has a flatter slope. This area is relatively flat~ This part behind here is really ridiculous. He just climbed up from here, it’s really unbelievable! The right side facing the horse’s back dune is relatively gentle. Although it takes a bit longer, it’s easier to slowly climb up here. (Even a gentle slope can be tiring.) What’s on the other side of the sea?! Freedom!! The scenery is really nice~ After climbing the sand dune, you will see the Sea of Japan. The weather that day was really great, and the scenery was very beautiful. Although the climb was exhausting, it was truly worth it. This time I’m coming at the end of November Although it’s a sunny day, the temperature is very cool and comfortable Just a reminder, if you come to Tottori Sand Dunes in the summer, it will be extremely hot Make sure to take preventive measures against heatstroke. After leaving the Tottori Sand Dunes, we went to the local seafood market for lunch. Tottori Prefecture faces the Sea of Japan, making it a place rich in seafood. Especially after entering autumn and winter, it is the best season to enjoy seafood. I don’t know if it’s because this seafood market we visited is too famous. There were really too many people during the three-day weekend; we waited quite a long time that day. But actually, the price is really cheap. How could a whole bowl of sea urchin cost this much if it were eaten in Hokkaido or elsewhere? A whole box of sea urchin is only 2680, that’s really super cheap! Although the ordering process was relatively quick, the waiting time for the call was really a bit long. But the long wait is worth it! The sashimi set meal ordered that day was super generous. You can enjoy tuna, red snapper, bonito, scallops, and sweet shrimp all at once. The seafood bowl with sea urchin is also highly recommended. The sea urchin is truly very sweet, making you want to have one bite after another. I ordered two meals and drinks, and it only cost 4600 yen, which is really super affordable. Not only is it very cheap compared to Taiwan, but it’s also a very good price within Japan. We finished eating! We waited quite a while! No wonder there are so many people during the three-day weekend. Our number is 207. When we sat down, it was only in the 170s. In the 160s, so we waited for nearly 40 numbers. The next destination we are going to after finishing lunch now Besides the sand dunes, Tottori is also famous for Conan So next, we are going to Mifune Town In addition to sand dunes and seafood delicacies, Tottori Prefecture is also the birthplace of Gosho Aoyama, the author of Detective Conan. The Gosho Aoyama Museum of Art is a must-visit spot for many fans of Conan. In addition to displaying some original manuscripts, the museum also features many interactive game areas. In the game area, you can choose not only Japanese but also Traditional Chinese or English, among others. The Gosho Aoyama Museum is located all the way to the nearest station, ‘Yura Station’. This stretch of road is known as Conan Avenue. It takes about fifteen minutes to walk along this Conan Avenue. There are many statues of Conan and other characters set up along the way. That day, we participated in their stamp event while enjoying the sights along the road. Everyone is taking this path, so it must be the right one. If you don’t know, just look at this map. But it shouldn’t be that difficult. So sharp! No wonder it’s Sister Xiaolan’s horn! Very three-dimensional! This angle is really impressive! The second one I saw is a bus stop, sleeping at the bus stop is Moriarty. How could this size possibly block the view? You will definitely see it! Interestingly, we will also pass by Conan’s home, ‘Beika Shopping Street’. Although it’s a bit different from the rice cracker shop street in the work, there’s also the White Rose Café where Tooru Amuro works downstairs from Conan’s house. However, this café is notoriously slow, so I have to give up for now. There is also a souvenir shop nearby to browse around. The variety is quite extensive, and many items are very interesting. (There are many super special and super interesting local gifts~) From Mihua Town to the nearest station, Ryō Station There are many statues set up in between Although it requires a detour, you can also look for the Black Organization and the smaller statue of Shinichi. Yoshiyama Station is also known as Conan Station If you’re not driving, it’s very convenient to come by tram There’s a huge Conan statue outside the station. If you have the chance, come here and take a look. Before it gets dark, we arrived at another historical old street nearby, the ‘Sakaiminato White Wall Earthen Warehouse Group’. There are many buildings from the Edo and Meiji periods here. It is also one of the preservation areas for modern traditional Japanese architecture. Although the area is not large, it is a place where you can feel the atmosphere of Japanese history. There is another interesting spot nearby, the ’20th Century Pear Museum.’ Like many fruits, pears also have many different varieties in Japan. The main production area of the ‘Twenty Century Pear’ variety is in Tottori. Arriving at the Twenty Century Pear Memorial Hall, In addition to learning some interesting facts about pears, the best part is that you can also taste various types of pears. Try three kinds of pears~ Japanese water pears have a long production season due to the variety of species. On this day, we had three late varieties that are only available in November. On the day of our visit, we tasted Wang Qiu, Xin Xing, and Atago pears. Although it’s hard to express the differences, they do taste quite different. It’s getting dark~ After a fulfilling day of playing in Tottori On the first night, we stayed at the Toyoko Inn in front of Tottori Station. We originally planned to have a big Tottori barbecue feast. I didn’t expect to encounter a three-day holiday; every store is packed! Without a reservation, there’s really no way to get in. I had no choice but to head to a burger joint near the hotel. Although it wasn’t the long-awaited barbecue, after a tiring day, having something to eat was still very satisfying. Early the next morning, we arrived at Sakai Minato in the western part of Tottori Prefecture. Sakaiminato is the hometown of the manga artist Shigeru Mizuki, creator of GeGeGe no Kitaro. Like Conan Town, this place has also become a pilgrimage site for fans who love Kitaro’s works. We are here now~ The station is right here~ There is a street called Mizuki Shigeru Avenue here, lined with various statues of GeGeGe no Kitaro works, both big and small. The GeGeGe no Kitaro manga has been serialized since 1960. The animation started airing in 1968. It’s obvious that the tourists coming to Suwa are generally older than us. Although it’s not a work familiar to our generation. But it’s quite nice to get to know each other while traveling. Additionally, I only realized while making the video that the monsters on the Mizuki Shigeru Road actually represent the 47 prefectures of Japan, which is also quite interesting. However, it’s a bit of a pity that we arrived a bit too early. Many shops are still not open. If you also want to stroll around the shops here, I suggest coming around noon would be better! In Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture, there is a highly recommended conveyor belt sushi restaurant called ‘Sushi Benkei’. Although it’s the same as yesterday, the waiting time is longer due to the consecutive holidays. But this is probably the conveyor belt sushi place with the highest cost-performance ratio that we have eaten at recently, and it’s highly recommended. Before the doors opened, there were already a lot of people waiting to draw their numbers. We got number 23 that day. But I still had to wait until the second round to go in (Time limit) 59 minutes left~ The ingredients at Sushi Benkei are really quite good. What impressed me the most was their bigeye tuna. The fat is very fresh and sweet, super delicious. The crabs that are a must-eat in autumn and winter are here too It’s filled with rich crab roe on top The overall taste is incredibly rich and full of seafood flavor! If you like chawanmushi, you definitely can’t miss this. The chawanmushi here is topped with matsutake mushrooms. This should be a special version available only in this season, and it smells amazing. Additionally, the tamagoyaki sushi here is quite special and is a must-order for almost everyone. It uses special eggs and is cooked to be very fluffy. Taking a bite is simply unforgettable! The shrimp is also highly recommended! The shrimp heads are also fried, so you can enjoy two flavors at once. Overall, while the selection of dishes isn’t extremely large, everything, including the desserts, is very delicious! Very delicious, highly recommend this place! We had 14 plates, how much is that? 4890! It’s only 5000 bucks! It’s really super cheap! Another highlight of this trip to Tottori is staying at Iwai Onsen. Iwai Onsen is a hot spring with a history of 1200 years. It is also known as the oldest hot spring in the San’in region. The Iwaiya, where we stayed this time, is a small hot spring inn with a strong sense of history. Although it has only 13 rooms, it boasts a history of 150 years. Even better, he also offers an all-inclusive stay package. Here, you can enjoy soaking in hot springs and indulging in local delicacies, with a variety of drinks available for free during dinner. We’ve just entered the room—let’s take a look inside! It has a very Japanese and classical feel. And there are tea sets and some snacks on the table. Kombucha with added plums and snacks~ These are cookies made from 20th-century pears that are sold in many places. Let’s take a look outside over here~ Many Japanese-style rooms have a resting area like this. His sink is over here. The room is a bit more traditional, so there is no shower area inside. There is just a simple washbasin, where you can brush your teeth, wash your face, and remove makeup. But there is no way to take a shower. Taking a bath means you still have to go to the public bathhouse. He said we can go soak in the hot springs soon. These yukatas are already prepared in the room. When coming to stay at a hot spring inn, you need to listen carefully to whether towels are provided in the hot spring area. He just said that these items are what you need to bring when going to soak, which means they are not provided there. Yukata usually has little to do with body shape and is more related to height. So he wants to choose based on height, how cute~ Then when we go to soak in the hot springs later, we can just put our change of clothes and some things in the bag, which is very convenient. Our all-inclusive service this time includes a mini bar in the room. There is water, barley tea, some alcohol, and fruit juice These three seem to be Tottori-exclusive drinks, including Tottori cola~ We all finished our baths and returned to the room~ Let’s toast first~ How do you feel about it~? Not bad! The hot spring has an antique charm~ We just found out that he is one of the secret recipes. So he is focusing on the historical feel of a wooden structure. There is only one place with an outdoor hot spring. So I was the first to soak over here just now. What I soaked in just now is this longevity hot spring. You can also drink from this longevity hot spring. So how does this blessing (which should be a celebration) soup feel? He only has the inner soup, but what’s special about it is that it has two stages. The first one is just down to my knees. Then going down to the next step reaches my chest. So it feels deeper~ Then we should visit his private hot spring tomorrow morning. His private hot spring costs 3000 yen, tax included. And if you choose the all-inclusive hot spring package, it will be half price, which is 1500 yen. Then you can also use the 1000 NT dollar coupon from his all-inclusive package to offset the cost. So you only need to spend 500 NT dollars to enjoy a private hot spring room. What impressed us the most about Iwaiya was its dinner. It’s really delicious… The provided format is kaiseki cuisine, and you can choose different dining options upon check-in. If you choose an all-inclusive option like we did. It will also include a variety of basic alcoholic drinks for unlimited consumption. The sashimi appetizer at the beginning is very abundant. Although it looks ordinary, the quality is actually quite good. The sashimi I had during this trip to Tottori was really delicious. Additionally, his beef shabu-shabu was very satisfying. At first, I thought the portion of beef wouldn’t be too much. But I only realized how huge it was when I started cooking. With their special sauce, it really tastes super delicious. Although we didn’t specifically upgrade the dinner menu, we did get to eat Matsuba crab, which I didn’t have high expectations for at first. But the Matsuba crab in autumn and winter is really very juicy and delicious. During the meal, other dishes will also be served continuously. For example, the tempura and the grilled gindara are also very good. It completely overturns the stereotype that kaiseki cuisine leaves you hungry. Although in the end I really couldn’t eat any more rice, the flavor of the tea-infused rice in the earthen pot is truly irresistible, and I accidentally finished the whole bowl of rice… The next morning, we booked a private hot spring room. In addition to soaking in the hot spring, there is also a bathing area. There are even massage chairs, and the whole space is very large! This trip to Tottori included many iconic attractions I also got to try a ton of local delicacies In addition to flying directly or driving, you can also take the Conan Limited Express train, the White Rabbit, from Osaka Station to Tottori for sightseeing. Although Tottori may not be the first choice for most people visiting Japan, friends who enjoy deep travel in Japan can definitely have a fulfilling trip to Tottori! So that’s it for this video. See you in the next video~ Bye~
