(mid-April to mid-November)! Going on a long winter trip so stay tuned! ー Day 1 ー
Kamikochi & Matsumoto autumn trip starts now! Takes about 3 hours so I’m taking the Green Car for extra space! Stayed 2 nights at Shirahone Onsen near Kamikochi, 1.5 hours from Matsumoto Station
(Will introduce the ryokan in the latter half of the vlog) ー Day 2 ー
Park your car here and take the designated bus or taxi to Kamikochi Don’t forget that 11/16-4/16 is the winter closure period! This time I took a taxi to Taisho Pond
Let me show you a 3.5-hour hiking course including lunch time! This was November 11th and the temperature was around 3°C Basically easy trails but I recommend shoes and pants you don’t mind getting dirty Perfect weather and got so many good shots☺️ The melted snow water is cold and crystal clear Glad I didn’t run into any bears lol What I wore: (daytime temperature -1°C to 3°C)
Heat-tech + thin knit + fleece + light down jacket Also brought heat-tech leggings and gloves in case it got colder The wooden parts were a bit frozen and slippery so be careful Walking like a penguin because I was scared of slipping lol Still not a single cloud at this point, perfect hiking weather☀️ The air is so fresh and I’m feeling great, randomly started exercising lol There were so many stacked stones! Placed a small one lol Could listen to this river sound forever The water is so clear, looks delicious lol My favorite photo spot I want to drink coffee while looking at this view☕️ Arrived at our destination Kappa Bridge is the main spot so it suddenly gets crowded Mountain weather changes quickly, as soon as it got cloudy it dropped to -1°C So windy🫨 Taking a break at the shop while waiting for lunch Pork cutlet curry Sanzoku-yaki (chicken) set meal Miso ramen Hot soup really hits the spot when you’re frozen~ Curry after exercise is the best lol Taking home some Kamikochi water! 10,000 times better than Tokyo water lol For dessert, I’m having that Soft serve ice cream! Tastes good even in the cold☺️ Bought some souvenirs at the shop Muscat grape flavored popcorn😳 3.5-hour hike including photos and lunch time is done!
Great job everyone~ Now let me introduce the hot spring ryokan where I stayed for 2 nights A ryokan in the mountains where you can see such a starry sky at night 10-tatami Japanese room with breakfast and dinner included Simple bathroom By the way, this ryokan also has a mixed bath where you enter wrapped in a towel First day’s dinner If you stay multiple nights, the menu changes daily
It was luxurious, delicious, and amazing😚 Day 2 breakfast Rice porridge made with hot spring water Day 2 dinner Day 3 breakfast ー Day 3 ー
Heading back to Matsumoto, takes 1.5 hours The stairs were so steep, climbing up was exhausting💦 For lunch, soba noodles, the specialty of Nagano! Dipping in walnut sauce is the Nagano way The walnut sauce is so good🤤 The tempura vegetables are delicious!
