比翼の滝と晨光の滝 名寄市 Hiyoku and Shinkou Falls in Nayoro City
名寄市街から北に道道252号線(道道美深名寄線)を約9㎞行き北東へ折れて天塩川の支流の吉野川沿いを約6㎞のところに「比翼の滝」がある。落差が約10ｍあり、滝の流れは2つに分かれて羽根を広げたように勢いよく落ちている。さらに1㎞ほど行ったところに「晨光の滝」がある、落差は約5ｍあり「晨光」とは朝の陽の光の意味で、「名寄の明るい未来を象徴する滝に」との願いを込めて命名された。
Two waterfalls located on the Yoshino River, a tributary of the Teshio River, at the foot of Mount Piyashiri on the northern edge of Nayoro City. “Hiyoku Falls” has a drop of about 10 meters, while “Shinko Falls,” located about 1 kilometer away, has a drop of about 5 meters. The two waterfalls are also known as the “Brother Falls.”
