横浜 緑区 杉山神社と鴨居天満宮の祈りを歩く｜Japan Kanagawa 4K Walking Tour
Walking around local temples and shrines Current location: Midori Ward, Yokohama City This is Kamoi Station on the Yokohama Line in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. This time, since we explored the north side of the Yokohama Line last time, we will walk on the south side. Your subscription is the beginning of a journey. Let’s go to a new view. We have arrived at Sugiyama Shrine. This small shrine is Kamoi Tenmangu Shrine, which has been in operation since 1906. It appears to have been relocated to this location in modern times. Sugiyama Shrine was founded in 1449, so it has been in the area for a long time. Russo-Japanese War Memorial Monument This is the name of the local Kamoi village war dead from the Greater East Asia War. Next is Higashihongo Daiichi Park. The view from here is said to be a Midori Ward Heritage Site. We’ve reached the plateau. You can see all the way to the Southern Alps Apparently you can see as far as Yatsugatake from here. I don’t know anything about Yatsugatake though. The Tanzawa Mountains, a classic view from Kanagawa and Tokyo, are of course clearly visible. If you zoom in a little, you can see what looks like Mount Fuji next to Mount Daisen. In the summer, Mount Fuji is obscured by water vapor and cannot be seen unless you go early in the morning. 横浜線の鴨居駅を出て、町の奥に残る祈りの道を歩いた。賑やかな駅前を離れると、住宅の間に静かな風が流れ、古い社の屋根が木々の影から顔を出す。杉山神社は十五世紀に創建されたという。長い年月を経ても、この土地の人々の願いを受け止め続けてきた。隣には鴨居天満宮があり、明治の時代に移された祠が今も大切に守られている。境内に立つと、誰かがそっと手を合わせた気配が残っていた。さらに足を進めると、戦没者の名を刻んだ石碑が陽を受けて輝いていた。祈りの音が遠くで響き、風に混じるように消えていく。坂を上がると、街の向こうに丹沢の山並みが広がり、大山の肩越しに富士の姿がうっすらと見えた。夏の空気は透明で、遠くの景色さえもゆっくりと揺らしている。暮らしのそばに残る信仰のかたち。歩きながら、それぞれの時代を生きた人々の願いが、今もこの町の風に溶けているように感じた。
