48小時東京快閃之旅,銀杏、楓葉這個季節的美景都看見了!!
It’s the familiar Yamanote Line again. We’re heading towards Shibuya from Platform 1. We’ve taken the Yamanote Line to Shibuya and are now exiting through the Central Transfer Point. Once you exit the Central Transfer Point, you’ll see the entrance to the Ginza Line. Our destination is the beautiful ginkgo trees in November. You can actually get off at either Aoyama-1-chome or Gaienmae Station. Let’s go ! It’s two stops from Shibuya to reach the ginkgo area. We took the Ginza Line for two stops from Shibuya to Gaienmae. Follow Exit 4A; it’ll lead you to the ginkgo avenue. It’ll be about a 5-minute walk to Meiji Jingu Gaien. (Date of photography: 114) /11/23 Hello everyone, good morning! I arrived in Japan by plane yesterday —no, early this morning . It’s 7:30 AM Japan time now, and I’ve arrived at Meiji Jingu Gaien (Outer Garden). It’s so beautiful! The photos were taken on November 23rd. Yes
, this is the current state of the ginkgo trees. Let me show you. At 7:30 AM, there were already quite a few tourists. You can probably tell I’m quite tired, right? I didn’t sleep very well on the plane last night. But that’s okay. Let’s focus on the beautiful ginkgo trees and less on the ginkgo trees in this photo. This is the ginkgo tree next to the parking lot of Meiji Jingu Gaien. It’s so beautiful! I’m about to leave the ginkgo grove in front of Meiji Shrine Outer Garden. It’s really gorgeous here. It’s not a very long path , but it’s enough to keep tourists taking pictures non-stop. If you like taking pictures and are coming to Tokyo at the end of November, I highly recommend it. Now I’m going to continue. Please ignore my expression in this video. After all, I’m a 45-year-old middle-aged woman who didn’t sleep all night. Let’s move on! Now I’m going to the next stop. I’ll go back to Shibuya Station and take the Yamanote Line to Shinjuku. Shinjuku is indeed a relatively complicated station. It’s really big. Now I’m going to take the Chuo-Sobu Line to Sendagaya Station. Wow,
the ginkgo trees outside Sendagaya Station are so beautiful! It’s strange . I rarely eat this sandwich in China , but when I saw it just now, I thought it looked delicious. Is it true that the moon is rounder in foreign countries? It has two flavors. I want to eat the tonkatsu first. The tonkatsu is very thick. The bread is a bit dry . Okay, that’s enough. Let’s give the other flavor a chance. Okay, this should be egg salad. This is better because it’s more moist . The tonkatsu was too dry. Look… The ginkgo trees behind me are so beautiful! Everywhere is yellow and green this season . It’s about a four-minute walk from Sendagaya Station to Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. Wow, there are maple leaves! You need to buy a ticket to enter Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, but you can also just use your Suica card. Let’s go in and take a look! Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is characterized by its many different colored trees. The park is spacious and has many places to take photos. It’s a pity the weather wasn’t very sunny. I think the biggest advantage of solo travel is that it’s very easy to change your itinerary on the spot. I was originally going to take the Toei Oedo Line to Ueno , but I saw a very special shrine and thought I’d check it out first. It’s this Hatomori Hachiman Shrine. Luckily, we made it in ! Wow, the ginkgo trees within the shrine grounds feel very ancient. Let’s move on to the next stop! Let’s go back to the station! Actually, I didn’t have any ideas for the next stop. After entering, I saw the station name and decided to go to Akihabara because Akihabara can connect to the Yamanote Line, and then you can connect to other places or go back to my hotel. Okay, let’s get ready to catch the train. After some hesitation, I came to Nippori because I wanted to go to Nezu Shrine , but let’s go together first… Let’s go for lunch! I don’t know what to eat for lunch, so I’ll go to Matsuya. Wow, they have this tiny beef bowl, a salad, and a soup. That’ll be 680 yen for lunch! I usually don’t bother with long queues at famous restaurants. The advantage of traveling alone is that you can simply eat local food and whatever you want. These simple set meals best suit my needs. This time, I’m choosing my old friend, an APA hotel , in Otsuka. My room is at 10:10 today. Sorry to bother you! As always, let’s unpack the APA hotel. It’s still so small , but it has an advantage: the bed base is very high, so you can fit your suitcase in, and then there’s a slightly larger corridor space. This is the toilet and amenities , but I’ll probably be going to the public bath, so this is just for the toilet. The biggest advantage of familiar hotels for me is that I know the check-in process very well. Today was a bit too crazy, so I plan to rest a bit and then go out for a walk later. While waiting for the public bath, I’ll share my experience with Gaston. I thought I’d include Luca’s bag in the video since someone asked about it when I posted on my fan page today. It’s a Swedish brand , and it’s very high-quality and stylish. This is my third Luca bag. Normally, it’s a laptop bag. Let me show you inside; it has a double-layer design with zippers and a small zippered compartment at the front for storing small essentials. Since I didn’t bring a carry-on for this trip , I put everything that couldn’t be checked in in my backpack, such as a power bank , a 3-axis stabilizer , and even a tripod (needed for filming). As you can see, there’s a lot of storage space . Lithium batteries can’t be checked in , and there ‘s a little secret compartment at the back —I think it’s an anti-theft design. You can put valuables like your wallet and passport there. The pressure-relieving shoulder strap is very well designed , so even with all this stuff , it’s quite comfortable to carry. Currently, it’s a Gaston… Luca is offering a 25% discount on their entire website , plus a special 15% off code for Yuanyuan’s mom (which I’ve included in the information section). It’s a Swedish brand, and I think their designs are always very high-quality and perfectly suited for everyday life. So I recommend this Gaston Luca bag to everyone . And it’s not just this size ; this is actually the largest size. I personally love large bags, and they actually have sizes from small to large. You can check out the official website and choose the bag you want based on your needs . I slept for an hour, so let’s go shopping at the department stores in Otsuka ! Wow, they sell so much food! It looks like even if I don’t go anywhere else, there’s plenty to eat here. This department store has four floors , with a deli section and a supermarket. My actual destination was the Uniqlo on the third floor (slip of the tongue). There’s a Loft on the third floor, let’s check it out! We arrived at the Uniqlo on the third floor. This week happens to be Uniqlo and GU’s Thanksgiving season , let’s see what’s worth buying! I clearly told myself that Japan is tax-free , not free , but I still ended up with such a big bag . Luckily, my hotel is just ahead. Let’s take the stuff back and put it away first. I left the room again. Now I’m going to Ikebukuro! Because the original plan to see the autumn leaves at Rikugien Garden doesn’t start until November 28th, so I changed it to shopping! Ikebukuro is so lively! It’s only one stop from Otsuka Station to Ikebukuro, and only one stop on the Yamanote Line. The level of excitement was completely different. We went for a stroll and were stunned to see Tobu Department Store right outside the station. The Christmas atmosphere was amazing! Tokyo streets in late November and December really had a Christmas vibe . We happened to stumble upon an amateur concert. Now I’m looking for dinner. I saw a restaurant that said “Welcome solo diners. Tuna pot dumplings for tonight’s dinner. ” After ordering for the first time, you have to scan a QR code, but it’s all in Japanese. I’m going to take on the challenge. It’s a big challenge to order in all Japanese. I’ll just order some simple side dishes. I’ll study them first. When the food arrives, you’ll know what I ordered. These dumplings look so delicious! In the end, I ordered salted kelp and cabbage. Since I plan to go out for a walk later , I won’t eat too much. I’ll just focus on my meal. A solo Tokyo night still needs to experience the atmosphere of an izakaya. This is wasabi! Wow, these dumplings are so hot! Oh, they’re so delicate! Although… Small but quite hot. Cheers! This chain restaurant is really great! Let’s go explore some other places. Back at Otsuka Station, let’s buy some snacks. After showering, we can eat. The biggest reason I always choose APA is because it has that huge public bath! Wow,
the facilities on the 20th floor are amazing! There are vending machines and microwaves, and even a currency exchange! I won’t take pictures of the inside. I’m going to take a shower now. Shower done! If you’ve seen my previous videos of my trip to Japan, you’ll know I love APA. You can tell it’s APA just by looking at the bathrobes because they have a huge public bath. This two-day, one-night whirlwind trip felt really crazy! Life needs to be a little crazy, right? We have plans for tomorrow. I’ll eat my late-night snack later and then get ready for bed. This is Aizhenshi I bought at Otsuka Station. It was 30% off when I got back. I was going to microwave it, but then I was too lazy to go upstairs. The microwave is on the 20th floor . Actually, it tastes pretty good this way too. If you’re staying nearby, you can buy some snacks to go with your drinks and then eat back at the hotel. We’ll continue tomorrow. Looking forward to tomorrow’s journey! Good morning, everyone! Today is our second and last day in Tokyo. I’m going to take you to Komagome Station, which is only one stop from Otsuka Station and is on the Yamanote Line . We’ll also visit a very special cat shrine and see the autumn leaves at Rikugien Garden. My luggage is still at the hotel because, for some reason, there was a promotion when I booked it , so I can check in early and check out late. Usually, if you need to check out at 10 am, it’s fine because hotels allow you to continue storing your luggage. Let’s go to the station. It’s only a few minutes’ walk from my hotel to Otsuka Station. Wow, the weather is much better than yesterday; we should be able to take some beautiful photos. Let’s go! It ‘s 8:35 am now . If you’re worried about getting on the wrong train, you can check your Google Maps. The map will tell you which direction to take, so we’re heading towards Komagome Station on the Yamanote Line towards Ueno/Tokyo. Staying on the Yamanote Line during this solo trip has been really convenient. We just came out from the North Exit. After exiting the North Exit, just cross the street and walk a short distance. Enter from here, and you’ll be almost there. Passing through this alley, we’ll arrive at Myogi Shrine. Please note that Myogi Shrine only opens at 9 AM. Oops! It’s open! We can now pray and buy amulets. Actually, I mainly came here because they have some really cute and pretty cat amulets. We’ll pray here for a while, then head to Rikugien Garden. They have fortune-telling here ! Wow, so cute! This is a cat fortune slip; I’m going to draw one ! This pink cat is so cute! We can also use this money-washing tool here. Let’s wash some money! Take this little cage. In my opinion, this is for washing Taiwanese dollars. You can wash Japanese yen if you want, but I think washing Taiwanese dollars is better because I’m Taiwanese. After washing, we put the cage back and it will bring good luck! This is the cat at Myogi Shrine. So cute! Every time I come to a shrine, these cute little things always make me want to buy them. Let’s see how my fortune is! If it’s bad luck, you can tie it here and not take it home. Leave the bad luck behind and bring the good luck home. Let’s see! Myogi Shrine is really cute! But it’s small, so you don’t necessarily have to come here specifically. You can come to Myogi Shrine and then go to Rikugien Garden. Wow, it
‘s a small lucky number ! It seems pretty good. Let’s take a look. Okay , it’s all in Japanese. I’ll translate it properly with Google Translate later. In short, it’s not bad , just a small blessing. As for the other souvenirs , what did I mainly find yesterday? I mainly found this transparent amulet. It looks like glass , but it’s probably made of plastic. It’s very pretty , but it’s currently quite expensive at 2,000 yen. Also, since it seems like a lot of people come here to see the cherry blossoms during cherry blossom season , there are cute cherry blossom amulets. Since I probably won’t be coming during cherry blossom season , I ‘ll buy them now. And since it’s a cat shrine, of course I have to get a little black cat amulet . So cute! Okay, we’ve finished exploring this area , let’s head to Rikugien Garden. To get there , it’s conveniently located just outside the north exit of the station; cross the street and turn left. We’ve arrived at Rikugien . I originally wanted to see the autumn leaves yesterday , but they’re only open until November 28th. So, we need to buy tickets now . If you have time, you can also get tickets for the Kyu-Furukawa Garden, but I don’t think I have that much time today. I’ll just visit Rikugien. We’re in. An adult ticket is 300 yen. Rikugien is a very famous Japanese garden. I recommend setting aside at least one to two hours to properly explore it. Wow , so photogenic! The red maple leaves are still changing color. If you come, you should still be able to enjoy the red leaves until mid-December. There’s a teahouse over there; let’s check it out and have some hot Japanese snacks. Right in front of the teahouse is a beautiful view of the maple leaves. Let’s try some! The steaming red bean and rice cake soup is quite sweet , so they usually pair it with matcha or genmaicha. The scenery here is truly beautiful, so I recommend Rikugien Garden if you want to see maple leaves before mid-December. It’s a great choice. Let’s take a look around for a bit , then head back to the hotel to rest before continuing to the next attraction. There’s another attraction! This two-day trip… My flight schedule was perfect for this overnight trip . I took Tigerair’s 00:10 flight from Taiwan and arrived at Haneda Airport at 4:00 Japan time . I first went to drop off my luggage. My return flight was Starlux Airlines at 20:10 , so I actually had a whole day to explore and visit several places. Let’s not waste any time. Let’s walk around a bit more. Next stop: Rikugien Garden is a highly recommended spot for viewing autumn leaves and cherry blossoms. We’ve arrived at the last stop of our two-day, one-night trip – Naritasan Shinshoji Temple. Is this the last stop in Narita ? No, it’s only one stop from Narita Airport, so you can consider it the last stop. I need to find the luggage storage area first. Let’s go! I just walked from Keisei Narita Station to JR Narita Station because I couldn’t find any lockers in Keisei, but there are lockers here. Now we’re going to Naritasan Omotesando. It’s about a 4-minute walk from the station to Omotesando. It’s very close to Naritasan Omotesando. Just follow this road and you’ll reach Naritasan Shinshoji Temple. This area is also a century-old street, so you can see many old houses like this. I love places with a strong old-fashioned atmosphere. The power of the three-day weekend is really strong! Otherwise, today is Monday , and normally there wouldn’t be so many tourists or so many shops open. I was thinking about the famous eel rice street here … Ready to order! It looks like a newly opened restaurant, and they have these set meals . The colors are so appealing, perfect for lunch! But since we can’t take pictures inside , I’ll just eat first and then share with you outside. We finished our eel rice. Next to us is Naritasan Shinshoji Temple. It’s funny! I was just wondering why my entrance was different from everyone else’s. Turns out the entrance is in front! This is Naritasan Shinshoji Temple! Wow, it’s already 1090 years old! What a magnificent temple! What a beautiful temple! This season , Naritasan Park also has its autumn foliage season. Currently, the leaves are slowly turning red, although some are already fully red. Let’s go inside and take a look! (Photo taken 11/11/2) 4. The autumn leaves were truly beautiful. We strolled around until sunset, then headed back to Narita Station to collect our luggage and head to the airport. Don’t worry, my flight is at 8:10 PM, it’s not even 5 PM yet. Just one stop from here and we’re back at Narita Airport. Okay, my two-day, one-night impulsive trip is over! It was actually quite crazy , but I saw the ginkgo trees I wanted to see, the maple leaves I wanted to see, and I even bought the Uniqlo items I wanted to buy . I think this two-day, one-night trip was pretty worthwhile. I think everyone needs to go crazy at least once in their life. And actually, I think many things you want to do but don’t might lead to regret later. That’s why I was so impulsive this time; I booked it back in July. And my goal was simply to see autumn leaves and ginkgo trees, and I actually achieved it! Plus , I was lucky. Although yesterday was cloudy , it had a different kind of atmosphere. This two-day, one-night trip took us to Meiji Shrine Outer Garden and Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden . In the evening, we went shopping in Ikebukuro. This morning, I took us to Myogi Shrine and Rikugien Garden. And finally, the last stop was Naritasan. I highly recommend it! If you like Naritasan, you can dedicate a whole day or half a day to it ; it won’t disappoint. That’s all for this video.
