Autumn camping in Doshi Village, Yamanashi Prefecture Hello, this is Emi We arrived at Natureland Omu in Doshi Village, Yamanashi Prefecture Check-in is from 9:00, but we arrived around 11:30 We bought some short firewood on the way We brought our NORTENT Gamme8 so we could enjoy the wood stove The site we chose was just big enough to fit the Gamme8 and a car We chose a site called　‘Takimidai’ This is my first time using this place I’d been interested in this site, so I’m happy we were able to get in by chance We stopped by a roadside station (a kind of local rest area with shops) and a convenience store to pick up some things, then came back to the campsite. We bought some fried chicken at the convenience store My husband wanted to have some beer with the fried chicken It’s time for our weekend fun as a couple: Saturday horse racing Every time I bet, I’m full of confidence, but I never win It’s always going well until halfway through! From the final corner to the finish line No luck with the horse betting this time!🐎💨 Let’s go for a walk There are several streams on the premises, but there was less water than last time I was here It’s a really nice campsite, with a small arched bridge and more The campsite is very large, with sites scattered around It seemed there had been a few cancellations on the day, so there were a few sites left empty A small, covered site had been built that wasn’t there before I wonder if I can use it? A campsite where you can find a site that suits your taste and enjoy yourself What’s great is that there are several toilets in convenient locations on the site, equipped with heated toilet seats, and they’re all very clean The night lights on the site are kept to a minimum brightness care has been taken to avoid being too dazzling You might be concerned about the fence, but “Momijidai” is also a popular site The trout pond, which is usually bustling with children in the summer, was very quiet Today’s sunset in Doshi Village was around 4:37 pm Because we’re in the mountains, it got dark very quickly Hot pot for dinner We’ll use a simple soy milk hot pot mix Cabbage and Enoki mushrooms Fried tofu We’ll also add plenty of shimeji mushrooms Pork (which was still a little frozen) Carrots Green onions Let’s eat♪ As it is far away from the other sites, it feels like you have the campsite all to yourself You can hear the sounds of the stream, so you don’t hear much from the other sites I’ll try adding curry powder to the second batch of hot pot to change up the flavor I put in too much! I added flying fish stock powder to give it a slightly Japanese curry flavor I topped it with cheese It smells so good! The curry went really well with the mellow broth I was thinking of adding some wontons to finish it off, but I’m full now I’ll save that for tomorrow I’ll stay indoors The warmth is spreading gently Good night Good morning You can see the New Tashiro Auto Campground from our website These are Adachi Blend coffee beans from Cafe Adachi in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture I bought some when I went back to Gifu I’ll make an espresso using a Bialetti moka pot I’ll make a cafe latte The Adachi Blend was delicious For breakfast, I’ll make an adaptation of yesterday’s hot pot soup The wontons came with some Chinese soup base, so I’ll try adding that too Curry powder Wontons 1 cup of rice I like drinking coffee in the cold mornings I tried to light the cedar leaves directly on fire, but they wouldn’t light easily I ended up lighting them with a fire lighter after this I’ll put the wood stove away Each site has a place to throw out charcoal, which is convenient I used cedar leaves as a broom to clean up I’ll burn the dirty cedar leaves in the bonfire The rice is done steaming I’ll add cheese as a topping I’ll pour the wonton curry soup over the rice We had brought some spring onions, so we decided to add some color my husband poured all the spring onions on top Wonton curry soup with lots of spring onions It was absolutely delicious The broth from yesterday’s hot pot, the new wonton soup, and the curry powder added even more flavor and made it really delicious Even the coldest we had was around 8°C, so it wasn’t too cold The morning sun was beginning to reach the mountains in front of us Other campsites in Doshi Village had already closed for the winter and some continue to stay open in the winter And Natureland Omu will close for the winter on December 8th Preparations for winter have begun The water was cold, but we got through it with Temres gloves Muji’s Large Palm Stick Scrubber It’s also great for cleaning the corners of the mess tin We return, hearing the sound of rustling leaves Colored leaves have fallen, creating an autumn-colored path The camp gave us a great sense of autumn It’s sad to leave, but it’s time to pack up There are times when we worry, and things don’t always go as planned Let’s enjoy small happiness Well, see you in the next video After visiting the hot springs, we went to our favorite udon restaurant Nanko plum and grated daikon radish udon My husband had meat udon with curry topping, and it was delicious♪ We headed home with our hearts and stomachs full
