Among its popular attractions is Juniko Lake in Aomori, home to the mesmerizing Aoike (“Blue Pond”). With its crystal-clear waters revealing submerged ancient beech trunks, Aoike presents an ethereal contrast between its vibrant cobalt blue hues and the inky depths below. Nearby, visitors can discover the picturesque Furusuto-no-Ike (“Boiling Pot Pond”) and Ketomashi-no-Ike (“Cock’s Head Horse Pond”). Additionally, the Buna Shizenrin (“Beech Natural Forest”) offers an immersive experience amidst towering beech trees, creating a verdant canopy overhead.
