日本最神秘的古道:熊野古道第一天全記錄|Kumano Kodo Day 1: The Ancient Japanese Hike That Took Our Breath Away|🇯🇵 Japan

[Music] [Music] IC terminal one. [Music] [Applause] [Music] So I can’t [Music] This is uh Wakayyama at 6:00 a.m. We woke up at 4. [Music] A few moments later, [Music] there is a calculator here to calculate the taxi fairs. and ice cream. The windows are so clean. Look at this. [Music] [Music] These are all the snacks that we are bringing with us to Kumano Modo. Sorry, Kumano Codo. Bet boxes, jelly, juice, matcha latte. energy bars, some bread and pocky. [Music] It is 8:00 a.m. and we waited for a little bit and finally got onto the Kumano Codo bus to the Kumano Kodoko Khan which is their tourist center. And here goes our adventure of the day. [Music] [Music] Hello. [Music] [Music] We started our Kumano Cotto hike right from the back of the tourist center. We’re taking the Nakahedi route. And the first thing we ran into was this crowded little keyhouse stop. Like everyone seemed to be gathering there to start their hikes. Oh my god, this is the cave. We are currently in Need Oji Shrine. Right after that, we realized the trail was not easy at all. A lot of the path is completely unpaved and feels really wild and untouched. [Music] And the incline, honestly, it shoots up to like 60 to 70° right from the start. Total leg burner. It’s a real challenge, but every step feels like part of the adventure. After about 30 minutes of climbing and hiking, you will reach an observation deck where you can see a small village in the distance and endless layers of mountains. After just a little while, we have reached Harijito viewpoint. It is a small shrine guarding travelers. It was so quiet and divine. Wow. Lumbers, we’re almost at Takahara Ginga. So by the time we got there, it was already around lunchtime and we finally reached Takahara Kumano Shrine. So roughly about a quarter into the Nakahi route. Just beside the trail, there’s this little hut filled with dark, mysterious artwork and huge paintings. Wow. It honestly gave me a bit of a scare. So, we sat down for a quick Oni break. While stamping my pilgrimage record, I couldn’t help but feeling a bit eerie. Like the place had its own quiet little story hidden in the shadows. Well, the vibe was cool, but just a little eerie, especially with no one else around. On our way going up, we also saw some free tools for hikers to fix their shoes. It was so thoughtful. After we passed the shrine for about After we passed the shrine and walked for about 10 minutes, the scenery suddenly opened up. You get this beautiful overlook of the mountains and valleys. It almost looks like a small town from a distance, even though it’s not really one. [Music] [Music] [Music] We just got out of uh the hike of the day and we’re heading over to Chiatsu which is a small village along the Kumo Kumano Koto. Wow. So this is our dinner for tonight. What do we have? Rice, some chicken meat, vegetables and tofu. And some yasai. More vegetables and tofu. And this is egg. And more meat. More chica meat. Okay. It’s the same for both of us. Thank you, Kumano. Yasai cottage. [Music] Breakfast at Chikatu. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] I do. I do. So, here is the bathroom, [Music] the toilet, washing machine. It basically has everything. Hangers, detergents, softeners. This one doesn’t have the dryer function, but you can hang your clothes right here. And also here, they prepared everything for you. And here’s the shower room. Wow. Very old wood window right here. It’s very interesting that they use wood here in the bathroom. This is the little backyard which hasn’t been renovated. This bathtub is also very old styled but durable. Yep. This is the little bathroom situation. Right over here is the living room. We’ll check this out later. [Music] This is the bedroom. It’s very spacious. I like the lights. And it’s very interesting. There’s no curtain and they can let the lights in. It’s a huge amount of farmland in front of us. This is a little area, the front yard of the house. [Music] They also gave us some free tea. You can even cook here. They also have some coffee, fridge, microwave. [Music] It’s so interesting that they have this big black hole. It’s actually not a hole. It’s like an area where you can see the inner structure of the house because this house is actually built like a long time ago. Maybe like 100 years ago. [Music] Bye-bye. Okay. Um, we are currently walking over to the bus station and heading over to Hongu Taiisha. [Music] [Music]
