Yes. I’m going to eat lunch now, but I’m really hungry and I want to eat that pizza, but honestly, I’m not expecting much from this place, and it doesn’t seem like a good pizza spot. It ‘s in Arugam Bay, but among them, I chose a place that seemed to have good reviews and the photos on Google Maps looked delicious, so I’m going to go now. [Music] Yes. It’s so hot. So hot. It’s terrible. I forgot to put on sunscreen. I only put it on when I go to the beach, so I forget. Hello. The tuk-tuk driver who helped me yesterday. Well, I wouldn’t say he helped me, but I didn’t end up riding in it. I was waiting for 20 minutes, and he offered to take me there, but I ended up waiting until he contacted the guide. Um, the pizza place is a 7-minute walk. And then another 6 minutes. And I still don’t know how much the tuk-tuk costs . So, the other day, when it was really raining, I got on the bus with the Italian guy who lives next door, but I wanted to go to that other place first, so I got off first, so I gave him 100 yen, 100 yen, but maybe it wasn’t enough? Or maybe I gave him 200 rupees, but maybe it wasn’t enough. Sorry. But I had no idea how much it was, and it was around 1,500 rupees or 700 yen to be taken to the next town, so I thought maybe it was pretty expensive. Right. It’s still just a normal, quick walk. If you’re not strong enough to walk a little, they sell these Thai pants. These look like swimsuits. These are cute. Like this. Cows and crows rummaging through the trash. I’m used to seeing this scene now. We ‘ll be there in just a minute. Also, that place over there called Pizza Hub, they also have pasta, right around there. Hey, hello. Hey. That’s bad. The fan is hitting me too directly, so I’m not sure. Oh well. It’s hot right now, so I think I’ll move somewhere else in a bit. Maybe a Margherita? I guess a Margherita or a Margherita and a Coca-Cola. I’ll have a Coke with my pizza, please. It’s kind of like this here, it’s been all hot outside so it feels nice. The pizza’s already here. Wow. It looks kind of tasty, but it doesn’t really taste like a Margherita. Is it like that? Like tomato sauce and cheese. Wow. Well, the Coke is coming. Thanks . Do you have any ice? I’ll have some ice cream after all. Here we go, this, it’s like this . Here we go … It’s been a while since I went out during the day, and it’s still hot. [Music] I usually like to go out to eat around 5 or 6 o’clock, because then it’s before dark and there aren’t many people eating, and the heat has died down a bit, but I’m really hungry today, so it’s 2:30 now. No, it’s 1:00, 1:40. I’m still not used to the time difference with Japan. There’s a three-and-a-half-hour time difference between Japan and Sri Lanka. So it’s 5:10 in Japan and 1:40 in Sri Lanka. [Music] Oh. [Music] [Music] All I can think about while I’m in Arugam Bay is, I want rice and miso soup. I want to eat yakiniku or something. I want Japanese white rice. The pizza was delicious. [Music] Yes, that was a feast. It’s crazy. It’s too hot. It’s really hot. It’s almost 2 o’clock today, so I’ll probably get hungry again tonight, but, um, I don’t want to go out anymore, so maybe I’ll just buy some cup ramen or something . I usually buy Cup Noodles at the market next door, like a Mart Mart , but they only have one type. But I thought maybe they’d have other varieties if I went to another store, so I went to a different market. I’d like to try a different market. Sri Lanka is really just full of Japanese cars . This one’s a Honda, and that one’s a Suzuki. Look, there are tons of light trucks and vans. You don’t see that very often overseas, do you? Look, that’s my Kurobuchi-chan. Look, there’s a kid like Kurobuchi-chan, and that one’s a Prius. Almost. Almost everything is Japanese. Okay. So, this place is kind of like a convenience store, it says it’s a slightly larger supermarket, and I’d like to check out the cup ramen here. Okay. I’ll take it off here. There ‘s still toilet paper. Oh, so it’s this one, so instead of cups, they only have this. They don’t have a kitchen like this, so they can’t make this . Amazing. They also have Korean ramen. Oh, they have this. I really want to try this. I can’t get the cheese one. [Music] I wonder if they have Cup Noodles? [Music] They have some, but this is all I can get. I always eat this, this, I wonder if there’s only one type? Oh, this, oh, right. They don’t even have bowls or anything. Oh, there’s this, I really want to eat it. This, [Music] Oh, do they have noodles? Let’s walk around a bit. There’s this and that, cornflakes, juice. [Music] I’m out of lotion, so I want something like a cream, but I don’t have anything. [Music] All I have is Vaseline. I have Vaseline. Oh, let’s get some coconut oil. This is 150 yen for 100ml. Isn’t it pretty cheap? This one, made in India. 500mm for 500 yen seems a little suspicious, so I’ll just buy the small one. I’ll spin this. This is good. I’ll do it. [Music] 250 yen. Look, there’s a great light van here, too. And it’s a Nissan Clipper. [Music] It’s at the mart next door. The other day, during this live performance, I bought these rice crackers . They have so many varieties, and this one, this one, like a chocolate biscuit with chocolate cream filling, was absolutely delicious. I think it was about 170 yen. They also have this one, like a macadamia nut. I’m going to buy this and this cup again today. Yes. I just got back, and I was thinking about trying out some of this coconut oil. I wonder what it’ll be like. It’s some kind of 100% coconut oil. And it was only 250 yen. 225ml. Then, they had this yellowish, handmade coconut oil at the register, and when I asked how much it was, they said it was 500 yen. They had the same thing for a little less, so I wonder what it’s like. Indian coconut oil. Oh, just regular coconut oil. The smell is, ah, coconut oil. Ah, it smells nice . I had a bottle of coconut oil in Japan, and recently, when I fled overseas, I sent it from Nagoya to my parents’ house. I gave up on bringing coconut oil this time because I thought it would be too heavy, but I thought it was necessary for traveling because you want to apply it after sunburn. But I forgot to buy it in Bali, and in Southeast Asia. That’s right. The other day, when I went to Thailand, I wanted to buy it , but I only had carry-on luggage, so I should have bought at least 100ml, but I forgot. So, this time I finally bought it in Sri Lanka. I’ll be in Sri Lanka for another two months, I’m sure you’ll use quite a bit. You know, applying coconut oil all over your body is really good . I know it’s good, but my skin is so dark and not that pretty, and it’s not convincing to me if I do it. But it definitely moisturizes. Miranda Kerr uses it, so I know it’s a sure thing. Even if I’m not convincing enough, Miranda Kerr uses it, after all. First of all, when you wash your body, make sure you wash off the sunscreen properly, otherwise it’ll get clogged . I carry around a scrub I bought when I traveled to Korea, and it ‘s really amazing. And as that unconvincing person said, when I went to hot springs in Korea, everyone was scrubbing their skin like crazy, and I thought maybe if I tried hard enough with the scrub, I could get whiter. I scrubbed my skin with it while traveling around Japan, and it did whiten, but after I got dark in Indonesia , I couldn’t scrub it anymore. Oh, I’m not white anymore now. Also, by the way, I bought some shampoo. Pantene. How much was it in Bali? In the video the other day. Let me look it up. I rewatched the video about sizes, so I guess the size is okay. 13m. 32,000 rupiah. 130mm is 290 yen. But this Pantene, I thought it was the same size, but it’s 180mm, and it was 900 rupiah, so maybe 450 yen. 900 rupiah is about 440 yen. So I guess it’s a little more expensive than Indonesia. Yeah. In Sri Lanka, they have this, I saw this, I just bought this biscuit. This is a chocolate biscuit. It’s 360g, and it’s filled with some kind of chocolate. You know, 12345678910. There’s about 40 of these little ones. It’s pretty tasty, so I’m buying it for the second time. It’s 340 rupiah, so 160 yen. This cup of noodles costs 116 yen for 240 yen. 116 yen seems surprisingly expensive, doesn’t it? In Indonesia, you can get it for around 50 yen, but in Sri Lanka, the difference between high and low prices is pretty dramatic, and the expensive ones are surprisingly expensive, so I’m worried. The reason the prices aren’t written on the packaging is because the price was written here. But the prices for the rice crackers and other items weren’t written on the packaging, so I asked before buying them. The large one was about 100 yen, and the small one was about 60 yen, so I bought the large one. I’ll try a few more things. Good morning. I’m going to the beach today at 6:30. Seven minutes left. There’s an elephant really close by, and it seems a little dangerous, so a tuk-tuk is waiting there, and this guy on a bicycle is waiting for the elephant to go over there. There are no waves. It looks like it’s heading out to sea now. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Okay. I’m going to dinner now. Well, I guess I’m not really sure what I want to eat, but it’s only 4 o’clock now, so I’m thinking about going out for a bite. Well, today, um, I haven’t really decided what I want to eat yet, other than Koboyan. Actually, I wanted something a little like steak, but I couldn’t find any steak restaurants on Google Maps, so I thought maybe I’d have something seafood again, or maybe I could just walk around and think about it . I’ve already decided on a restaurant, so I’ll just walk around and think about it. Speaking of which, there’s this place I’ve been interested in. They have some kind of skincare and body care, and I’m really curious about this place, so I think I’ll go in. Hello, can I take a look? Where are you from? It’s Japan. These are skincare products, and I make them myself. You’re also giving back to the local community, so are they all from Sri Lanka? Yeah
. [Applause] They have nutritious teas. This one’s made with coco powder and vanilla essential oil. The colors are all natural. How much is this? It’s 3,200 rupees, and the larger one is 5,500 rupees. Yeah, this zinc one is 3,200 rupees , and the stick is 4,000 rupees . Oh, the stick. Oh, no. Wow, that’s amazing. Wow, that looks really good. I’ll try this one too . What’s the difference between these two? This one’s regular white, and this one’s matched to my skin tone. Try it. It’s dark, and it’s matched to my skin tone. The color is applied with coco powder. [Applause] Wow, that looks really good. [Music] andsa. It’s made in Sri Lanka, and it’s organic and reef-safe, which is amazing. It also has a slightly handmade feel to it. I’ll come back and buy some more. I still have some left, so I’ll come back. I’m staying for another month. This one smells like honey and milk. How much is this? This one’s 3,200 rupees. This big one is 4,200 rupees. [Music] Are those bath salts? Yeah, they clear your mind. I want some, but there aren’t many places where I travel without a bathtub. I’ll come again. If you have a YouTube channel, I’ll subscribe. Mine is this one. [Music] Bye- bye, it was an amazing store. I wanted everything. They said everything was made in Sri Lanka, and they said they were giving something back to the sellers. The zinc was handmade in Sri Lanka and 100% organic, and it looked really good, so I thought I ‘d come back and buy some next time. But then, it felt so good, and now I’m hungry. Oh, I’m almost there. That was it. Let’s cross over for a bit. This is the hotel where I stayed last time. A 30-minute foot massage was 3,500 rupees. A full body massage was about 2,500 yen for an hour. A relaxing massage, maybe 1700 yen more, with essential oils, sounds nice. I’d like a massage, and since I’m in Sri Lanka, I’d like to try something Ayurvedic. Hmm, like, an Ayurvedic full body massage. [Music] The massage doesn’t say how much it costs, so I have to ask . But, what’s different from other countries is that man sitting in front of the massage parlor. Oh, I want a wave. Hello. Is this the place? This is the place I was planning to go to today. There’s a dog here, so I think I’ll go in. Is this dog scary? Hello, I’m alone. What should I do? This place has the alcohol menu listed like this. That means they have a liquor license. What should I eat? Seafood salad. Oh, there’s a dog. They say grilled pepper steak. They have steak. I have a feeling the seafood here is really good. [Music] Just ask me what seafood this is, and then I’ll have shrimp today. [Music] What comes with this? Shrimp, calamari, and fish. Okay, I’ll have this. And I’d like a Lion Lager with my meal. Not now, but later. It said seafood, so I asked what seafood comes with it, and I just recorded it, so is it okay? Amazing. Shrimp, squid, and fish. Everything’s coming. I don’t know how much it is, but it’s way cheaper than the price I got the other day. That means even a small amount can be a lot , and I want to try a lot of different things, so I’m looking forward to it. Let’s eat. Yes. Let’s eat. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Hey, this is crazy. Hey, some really amazing food has arrived. Look. Wait a minute. There’s fish underneath, and squid. [Music] Hey, it comes with fries and salad. Hey, this is crazy. The portion is unbelievable. It’s double what I expected. I mean, this is, how much is 1000 yen? Like 1200 yen. The other day, I got it for 2000 yen. No, that’s still cheap. I’m going. This is crazy. Seriously crazy. The absolute best. Seriously. [Music] Wow, I had no idea there was a restaurant like this. I’ll start with the calamari. Oh, wait, wait a minute. That looks so delicious. Look look look look. It’s insane. [Music] But look at this, look at the fish [Music] There are two pieces. And the shrimp… 12,344 shrimp . It’s 1,300 yen, wow, isn’t that amazing? I’m honestly really impressed, but the flies are a bit much. This fish looks delicious too. [Music] [Music] Beautiful. [Music] I’d like some lime please. It’s insane. Let me have some lime. I’m sure this would be delicious if you squeezed some lime into it. Hey, let me try this shrimp. I’ve already eaten it with my hands. Wow. [Music] Wow, the shrimp are insane. Look. It’s huge. It’s this big. Wow, it’s a bit hot. Not yet. It was too hot for me to eat with my hands. Wow , it’s too insane. [Music] And there were quite a few potatoes too, I think it said potato wedges. It said potato wedges, but it was really potato. [MUSIC] [MUSIC] Thank you. This is amazing. I asked for some limes too, and they brought this, it’s amazing. What is this? I’m so happy. I’ll be going there too. Wow, this is seriously amazing. Seriously amazing. Hey, hey, hey. [MUSIC] [MUSIC] The only thing that’s weird is the flies. [MUSIC] Oh, this is amazing. Hey, hey, hey. [MUSIC] This is amazing. The limes are so good. This is a little tricky. It’s almost unbelievably delicious to eat. [MUSIC] [MUSIC] This is so delicious, but I’m going to squeeze a ton of lime on this. A little extravagant. They gave me so much. This is amazing. [MUSIC ] No, but, well, I can’t really do anything about the flies, so I’ll just have to squeeze this. Plus, I love parsley, and parsley, stem and all, is absolutely delicious. [MUSIC] [MUSIC] I just want to drown myself in limes. [MUSIC] It’s amazing. Seriously, a little [MUSIC] Amazing. [Music] Let’s eat the shrimp later, let’s eat the fish first. The tartness of the lime is amazing. Seriously amazing. Is this enough for a whole beer? Oh, [Music] The shrimp, the shrimp, are just too good. Today, I was in the mood for shrimp . So, I asked what was on the seafood grill earlier, and I thought, “Well, if it’s not that great, I’ll just have shrimp,” but then, lo and behold, it came with shrimp, calamari, and fish. I also had that lime squeezed on it. Oh, it’s just so delicious. I’d love to come here once or twice a week. Ah. Oh, there was a fly floating in my beer. And when I was about to finish my drink, there was a fly floating . I’ll stop for a bit. If I was worried about flies, I wouldn’t be able to eat Arugambay. [Music] Wow, it was really delicious. Oh, there were still fries left. That makes it a feast. It was beautiful. Thank you for the meal. Thank you for the meal. Yeah. I think I’m going home. [Music] [Music] I’ll wash my hands, pay, and head home . Yes. It was so delicious. Look. All the fish is set out like this in all the different shops, and it seems like every shop serves the fish they caught that day . Oh, I’m in pain. That’s terrible. Yes. That’s terrible. I’m so full, I’m in pain. And I’m very drunk. Yes. I recently noticed a phrase that Sri Lankans like to use: they ask me, “Are you happy?” And they say , “If you’re happy, I’m happy too.” It feels like they really value being happy. Everyone says that to me a lot. The driver who brought me here from the airport also asked me the same thing when I first saw an elephant up close. I’ve heard it from a rip-off guide, and the guide I’m using now also asks me the same thing . They ask me a lot. I think it’s some kind of cultural thing. It ‘s a rather interesting point. Yep. I managed to get back before it got dark. Ah, I’m already full and tired. So, thank you for watching this video until the end. If you like this video, please subscribe and rate it highly. See you in the next video. Bye. [Music] [Music] [Music]

16:58 You shouldn't think that. This is colonial mindset and I thought Japanese people wouldn't have this since they were not historically subjugated by European powers but I guess world war 2 has its consequences too.
17:48 damn you did it again. 😂
バリではバリ腹といわれる、食事や水によるおなかを壊すことがよくあるのですが、スリランカはそういうことはあまりないのですか?
色んな国でご飯食べてるから鉄の胃になってるから氷ぐらい平気😊
