🇻🇳 5つ星ハロン湾最新豪華クルーズ:2泊3日
And suddenly the moment is there.
The main reason why I visited Vietnam, this time. We are on Cat Ba Island.
This is the biggest island in Halong Bay. This is only the second day.
It’s been pretty incredible. In this video, I’m showing you a
five-star luxury cruise in Halong Bay. Now, there are many cruise companies
and I’m going with the best of the best. If you are planning your trip to Vietnam
and you want to have a unique experience, this video is for you.
I’m in Tuan Chau Bay. In order to get here, I went from
Hanoi by minivan, 3 hours to this bay. I’m able to share with you the best
cruise ship experience of Halong Bay, taking you to the Indochine Grand Cruise.
This is not the cruise ship yet. No, this is just a boat which is bringing
us to the newest cruise ship of Halong Bay. Hello, Xin chào.
And hello. Thank you.
Lunch is waiting for me, but I thought I might as well pop out and check out the
surrounding area, now everyone is having lunch. And I’ve got this deck for myself, alone.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are in the Indochine Grand Cruise ship.
This is one of the reasons why I travel to Vietnam.
The landscapes. This is incredible.
There are no places in South East Asia which are as spectacular as Halong Bay.
So whenever you come to Vietnam, you definitely cannot skip Halong Bay.
When I was 21, I visited Vietnam for the first time and for $150 I think I did a two-night
tour in Halong Bay and this was beautiful. But if you’re on holiday, you’re going on
a two-week or 10-day holiday to Vietnam, you want to have it top-notch and this is
giving you a good idea of what is available. The restaurant is quite busy at the moment,
but I can imagine after lunch, everyone is going to their room or spreading themselves
around the boat and there’s a lot of space. You have the opportunity to book
everything in advance online. There is a tour company locally
owned from Vietnam Escape Tours. I’m making a few videos with them here in
Vietnam to show you what they have to offer. I’m first going to have lunch and then we’re going
to explore the next three days in Halong Bay. This boat has 32 cabins and
today it’s fully booked. The restaurant is quite busy.
The buffet was delicious with a lot of fish, a lot of seafood.
There’s English-speaking staff. I got briefed about the next 3 days.
I want to keep it real and especially in 2011, the very first time, I
do not remember so many big cruise ships floating and driving through Halong Bay.
But guys, I am not lying if I’m saying that yes, there might be a lot of boats,
but it’s still very serene. Like all the other 32 cabins here on the ship,
the president suite has a private balcony. Now, this room is actually the
biggest one out of all of them. 62 square meters with a vintage Asian style touch. The interior design is stylish.
It’s beautiful. The quality of everything, it’s top-notch.
And then when you are looking outside, this is, where’s this guy?
I’m not too sure. I hope they’re not pirates.
Let’s have a look what’s going on here. Hello.
Oh, selling beer. Oh, we have already beer.
We have enough. What do they sell?
Oh, I don’t want beer. How about… oh, I don’t need anything.
Let me buy a bottle of water of them. I’m not too sure if they’re actually allowed
to do this, but we might as well help them. Thank you.
Come òn. There’s plenty of water.
I don’t actually need a bottle of water, but I found it was quite an
attraction just laying on that in Halong Bay. Oh, I can put this actually in the fridge.
There is a mini bar here, robes. This room has a desk where I can work
on and a locker, some life vests. There is a relaxation area where I could
recharge from the journey traveling from Hanoi. The room has a bathtub and a
separate shower, a king-size bed, and spectacular views are guaranteed
viewing from your bed or private balcony. We’re going for a little ride in the sampan. It’s a wooden Vietnamese boat.
And this lovely lady is going to row us around. Xin chào.
Xin chào. Such a magical place.
But then again, guys, I want to keep it real. It is quite busy here.
There are a lot of people. But still, we are in a piece of paradise.
This is heaven on earth. Oh, and there she goes again.
The singer. It is 4:30.
Let’s go back to the cruise ship, freshen up, and I’ll meet you at dinner.
Slowly, the evening falls. There are a few people in the pool.
There are a few people in the lounge. There are few people on the top deck.
And there are quite a few people actually lounging away, soaking in the view. It is 7:00 and I was able to join a workshop, how to roll a Vietnamese spring roll.
Now, there are five courses to be served here at the Indochine Grand Cruise.
This was the best dinner I’ve had so far in Vietnam.
This was ridiculous. I started with a grilled lobster
soup, soft, warm, and creamy. A tropical green salad with cheddar cheese.
As appetizer, we had three New Zealand mussels in Thai cream sauce.
This was actually delicious. The main course is my favorite.
The grilled salmon was perfectly cooked in garlic and butter sauce, served
with some vegetables and fried rice. The dessert was some cakes with fresh fruits.
The whole evening was complete. This is the third trip in Halong Bay for me
and I’m going to be fully honest with you. The first trip cost me I think $150.
I was a backpacker. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money.
I had an amazing time. But for instance, the dinner that we
got served came from the mainland. They had a small charter boat going
in between the boat I was sleeping on. It was a very small room, not so much
luxury, but I still had an amazing time. I connected with a lot of people.
Even here now, I made some new friends, but it’s more like a couple environment.
The second time I went with Noona, back then it was my girlfriend, now my wife.
We had a small room, not so luxurious, but it was actually quite a nice one.
This was definitely a trip I’ll never forget. But now going on the Indochine
Grand Cruise is something else. You totally have the feeling you
are on a five-star luxury cruise. The staff is well trained.
There is lots of staff as well. I think there are 30 people working right now
on the ship and there are like 50 or 60 of us. Everything is new, well taken care of.
I think I’ve said enough. We go for squid fishing even
though it is not the season. We’re going to give it a go and
I’ll see you in the morning. It is 6:00.
Morning. Good morning.
Yeah. Yeah.
Morning. And suddenly the moment is there.
The main reason why I visited Vietnam this time. Experiencing a crisp morning in
Halong Bay, the north of Vietnam, in between hundreds of limestone islands.
The fresh winds, the serenity, nature, the sea, the sound of a lonely cry.
Whoever wants can start with a small breakfast, a coffee, some tai chi, and after I’ve had a
proper English breakfast with a glorious view. Thank you. My name is Y.
Only one letter Y. Only one letter Y.
The journey continues on a different ship. A ship where we are going
to spend most of the day. There is a guide on board and a nice
group of people with the same interest. While enjoying the surroundings, we’re all sharing
the same curiosity about this region of the world. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed some
plastic in the water though. I expected a lot more rubbish as
I’ve seen this on my previous visits. Maybe it got a little better.
The guide, Mr. Y, is cheerful and very informative.
He took us to a pearl farm. Someone was there to educate
us about the pearl harvest. I think this was a nice little activity
for everyone to start off the day. On to the next destination.
And we’ve just arrived on Cat Ba Island. I’m taking you to Viet Hai Village.
We’re going to check out the local life. It is possible to get an electric car over to
the village, but it’s a 30-minute cycle ride, and this gives us the opportunity to
cycle through some spectacular landscapes. Hello. Hi. Hello. Wow, they’re going quick. So really, I can imagine that it is
nice to just chill and soak up the view. But cycling, I don’t know, maybe it is
because I’m Dutch, but I just feel more alive. It feels like I made the
right decision right here. There are quite a few people cycling behind me.
There are a few in front of us and the guide for the day is driving on a
motorbike leading the pack. On top of the first hill.
Yeah. Stop right there and wait for you.
So, it’s not only flat. Yes, of course.
Uphill and downhill. Uphill, downhill.
Is it going to be difficult? 10% is not too difficult.
10%. Yeah, easy.
Not too long. Hi Oh, it is 10. Hold on!
Hold on! Woo!
We made it. That was not too bad.
Actually, it was only a few seconds up the hill. He’s going for it!
He’s going for it! Woo!
Woohoo! Wow!
Look at this. Now, so far already, this is only the second day.
It’s been pretty incredible. Let’s go!
So after this, there’s no more hill. After this, there’s no more hill.
Okay? There’s no more hill. After this, you just go downhill and turn left
and then keep going until you see the village. It’s actually a really nice
feeling to go in this group. Even though I’m traveling alone for
this trip, you’re in a group traveling, helping each other, motivating
each other to keep on pedaling. Yeah, this biking is also bonding the group. Flying into Hanoi, being in the old
quarter, it felt like a fairy tale. A bit more of this after this Halong Bay trip.
This fairy tale, this Disney movie, the busy Hanoi as it is, and then coming to a protected
park in Halong Bay is something magical. And one talking to all of you, there
is our guide driving on a motorbike. Good day. Hey.
Yeah. So all the Vietnamese people
who I’ve interacted with, including all the guides, but also the
people on the streets, people at cafes. You know, when they see me sitting alone, the Vietnamese people, they
want to have a chat with me. Especially the younger generation,
it’s not only friendly but also able to interact and have conversations and
they’re quite curious actually who you are. So nowadays, it’s actually quite easy to
interact and merge with the Vietnamese culture. We are on Cat Ba Island.
This is the biggest island in Halong Bay and I’m taking you to a place
on the island which is not well explored. I’m saying not well explored.
Vietnam over the last decade has been booming and it’s getting busier and busier.
Also here on this island, this has its benefits but also its downsides.
It’s very safe, well-developed. There are a lot of good
restaurants with food safe to eat. I try to keep it real.
I also want to name the downside. It is a little bit commercialized.
Things are a little bit more expensive. People are trying to sell you something.
So, the actual genuine Vietnamese hospitality is maybe not, or it’s harder to find over here.
Let’s say it like this. This village is located in
the middle of the island. Most young people, they’re actually
working inside of Cat Ba in the big city. If you are going to Halong Bay and you are going
on a 3-day trip like I do, maybe you want to schedule another two nights on Cat Ba.
Where are you from, Y? Yes, I living in the village
but not in this village. The other village closer to
the harbor on Cat Ba Island. No, in Tuan Chau Island.
Ah, okay. The one you started yesterday. I want to ask you.
Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. But I want to ask you, the village here that’s
really remote compared to the other things that I’ve seen on Cat Ba before in my previous trips.
Like why did you take us here? It’s a special one because here there is no way
for a car from the other town to get inside here. It’s only one way.
If you get stuck with the boat, they got the rice field out there.
I think you see it when you get inside, right? It’s beautiful.
Beautiful rice field there. But then you know what happens?
It’s like when the storm is coming, it brings a lot of rain and waves are
coming in, and the flood is everywhere here. They cannot farm with the soil absorbing salty
water like that anymore, so they leave it there. There’s no rice, no rice field anymore.
When you see like even the water buffalo right now, they just leave them there for fun.
They are for show. How many years happened already?
10 years. Cultural difference.
What would you say like I know the Dutch people, for example, loud
and we’re like maybe sometimes impolite. Oh, what can you teach us about your culture
which could be a good addition to ours? Yeah, it is not the teaching or
something like that, you know, because here like we loud as well and even when we
party it’s crazy, you know, like we are cheering together, we say something before we drink.
It’s like really everyone: Một, hai, ba, dzô! That’s true.
That’s true. What can you teach us or what can we
learn from the Vietnamese culture? For most, I think stick with the family.
All the countries in the world now, they just let the kids out around after 18, right?
They go out, they work, they look for a job and leave it in the other countries.
But here in Vietnam, even after, we still take care of you after you’re 18, 20, or even 25.
We still take care of you like that. So that’s a good thing?
Yeah. Yeah.
I mean when we stay together we can, even when the parents are
getting older, you can take care of them as well. Yeah, we put them in an old care home.
Oh, that’s why. Yeah, but we here not do that
because they don’t own a house. They want to own.
So there are not many care homes here. We didn’t have it as well.
We didn’t have that. You don’t have care homes?
We don’t have it. I’m leaving this town behind
with some good advice. Take care of your family.
I did tell you in a previous video already why I’m going back to the
Netherlands together with my wife Noona. We are expecting our first kid.
We’re expecting a son. I’m going to be a dad and we are leaving
South East Asia behind for a little while. I will fly over once in a while.
I will not stop creating videos, but I will definitely slow down a lot. I take this advice back to Europe and
I would love to take care of my family and be around friends back there.
But I will miss South East Asia. And hopefully, if you haven’t been to South
East Asia yet, you are in a position and you are able to actually come and visit
this magnificent part of the world. They’re really trying to pamper you on this ship.
When we got back, we got another wet towel. We got a welcome drink.
There are not many people doing the two nights, three days.
So, most people actually left this morning already going to mainland.
Now, I do not recommend leaving already after one night on this boat.
You’re going to have to soak in and especially in the first night, you
have to get used to everything. And now I know my way around
the ship a little bit. I know the staff a little bit.
So, you get a way more pleasant experience to do the two nights.
And even if I were you and you have time, I would stay a night or two on Cat
Ba Island because it’s a big island. It’s got many different aspects.
I didn’t even show you the island. Actually, I just showed you one little small
village and had that little chat with my mate Y. Also, I didn’t get the chance
yet to show you the ship. This is where you arrive at
the lobby at the lower level. You walk up the elegant wooden
stairway to get to the first floor. This is where the restaurant is located. The cruise ship is styled with a mixture
of French colonial and Vietnamese décor. When I take you up another floor,
there is a cocktail lounge with a bar. And the doors are opening to the first deck.
There is a pool located at the front of the ship and the sun deck upstairs has
lounges and more places to hang out. This ship is massive and it only
holds a maximum of 64 guests. There are also different room types.
This is the executive suite, about 42 square meters.
A large double bed, king size. Also, this room has a bathtub
and a separate shower. A very elegant room.
This is the suite, more compact, 36 square meters. And like all the other rooms,
everything is premium quality and has absolutely gorgeous interior.
This is the place where we’re going to stay overnight.
A peaceful bay in between the many limestone islands of Halong Bay.
A different five-course dinner is waiting for me. Morning.
Thank you. Thank you, brother.
After a peaceful morning, I actually didn’t want to leave my room, but we have one more activity.
I’m not necessarily a big fan of caves, but this one we’re about to visit is a little
different than any other cave I’ve ever visited. Obviously, we have to drive through some
spectacular landscapes to get there. And when we got off the bus, the guide constantly
supplied us with information about the cave. As a group, we’re walking through
the forest via a well-paved path. Yet again, I want to be as
transparent as possible. And yes, we are walking here with
about 30 people in one group. So just bear in mind this is not a private tour.
Yet it feels secluded as the guide is fully taking his responsibility for the
group and trying to include everyone. The cave is stretching roughly 300
meters through the limestone mountain. Inside the cave there is a cool
temperature and a dramatic rock formation. A contrast with the outside tropical environment.
The path is easy to walk on, though sometimes you have to go through quite narrow openings
to enter a different part of the cave. You definitely have to watch your head the
entire time as I bumped my head several times. The cave is named after a legend.
According to the story, the legend summons young men to defend the island in many wars.
During the Vietnam War, this was one of the few caves which was used as shelter and
military bases for local people and troops. So the cave itself was just another cave to me.
But the story and the guides made it very pleasant and a unique experience.
After we got back on the ship, I realized this is pretty much the end of it.
At the end of the Halong Bay trip at least. Now, as usual, I like to ask other
people what they experienced. And I was able to ask this lovely couple
if they enjoyed it as much as I did. We’re great.
We’re great. Yeah.
We celebrated my 60th birthday on the boat, didn’t we?
Yeah. And it was great.
It was amazing. I had flowers.
I had birthday cake. Everybody sang to me.
It was really special, wasn’t it? Prosecco.
What’s the best thing about the trip in Halong Bay?
Well, for me it was the kayaking. I really enjoyed the kayaking.
Yeah. Through the little caves, wasn’t it?
And then out into the lagoon. The blue lagoon.
It was really pretty. Yeah.
Was there something that you did not like so much? It’d be nice if it was blue skies all the time.
Yeah. The blue sky comes and goes.
Oh, the village… Oh, that was nice, wasn’t it?
Oh, the village. Yeah.
More time in the village. Yeah.
Yeah. Oh, you want to have more time in the village?
Yeah. More time in the village would have been nice.
So you did a three-day, right? We did the three-day.
Yeah. Yeah.
Two nights, three days. So you really want to go four days.
Yeah. Yeah.
Most definitely. This was my third trip in Halong Bay.
Now, by far, this was the best one. A big shout-out to the lovely staff
of the Indochine Grand Cruise. These people have been angels to me.
I want to do an even bigger shout-out to the Vietnam Escape Tours.
They made this trip possible. And they’re not only arranging this cruise.
No, they can arrange your whole Vietnam trip. Normally, I would recommend coming to Vietnam and
booking it yourself here at the local offices, because then you’re guaranteed
that your money that you spend here on tours is going to the local people.
Now, the Vietnam Escape Tours is locally owned. I actually met the owner.
He’s a legit guy and he’s got a team working for him, all locals, working
with local businesses here in Vietnam. I hope you enjoyed this video.
If you did so, please give me a thumbs up. Thank you all for watching till the very end.
I would like to say from the Indochine Grand Cruise in the north of Vietnam in

Beautiful locations my friend
are you sure you want to travel to Ha Long Bay right now? seem like a bad idea with those storms
Thank you for all
WRONG. There are many spectacular places as Halong Bay, there's the one in Thailand, there's El Nido/ Coron, Philippines, there's the one in Indonesia, etc.
Firstly I must complement your camera work in this video Chai. The quality is superb and really does show off Halong Bay at its best. Your presentation also superb and finding and adding in an interview with a local there and also the tourist couple a great idea.
I was thinking even before you said it that the waterways were much cleaner than in the past. . Halong Bay is a dream location that surely the majority of travellers to Vietnam should seek to experience. If this video doesn't encourage that then nothing would. Your accommodation 2nd to none., floating luxury. What a fantastic three days there, relaxing, bonding with people and joining in activities. I had to laugh at the interesting sound effects accompanying the photo of the three course dinner 😂🤣 😂 What a magnificent promotion of one of the wonders of S E Asia this is. Cheers champ.
After 1 month you will not be the same in Vietnam lol😂😂
Come to the inland halong bay in than hoa province!
Exquisite ship there and fantastical Haloog Bay.💙 You capture and present everything so beautifully with your eye and engaging personity Mr Chai. 💚
Thank you very much for your very interesting and informative video filming in Ha Long Bay. Life is good, especially when you are still young and full of energy to travel around the world and enjoy different sceneries and delicious foods of different countries. God bless you and your family with a new born to come. Thank you again for very this wonderful video.
Video đẹp hãy tiếp tục nhé tôi sẽ đăng ký kênh của bạn ngay bây giờ

Beautifully shot video Chai.
Our family of 4 also loved Ha Long Bay and the cruise. We went twice with the 2nd time being a 3-day-2-night stay and I caught our two teen-age technology and screen addicted children sitting on our cabin's balcony, staring out into the bay for a good 10-15 minute straight, in complete silence just taking in the beauty of Ha Long Bay. Many of the cruise ships' cabin are beautifully decorated, the view out of the floor to ceiling window, the fancy and spacious bathrooms, the grand dining room/deck, make many hotel look pedestrian. We really appreciate the friendly and fun staff and their delicious food too. Like you, we bought snacks and beverages from the world's most unique 7-Eleven 😅😅😅 We know it's not cheap but it's definitely worth the money, especially if you get the side trips like the kayaking, the bamboo boat, the island visits in the package.
And frankly speaking, I do get sick and tired of know-it-all people that use the word "tourist trap". VN, and many many other countries, are worth traveling to even with the crowd. I think open-minded and respectful people such as yourself get to enjoy A LOT more places around the world.
Could you please tell me how much that cruise was. Great videos. 🍁🇨🇦
Hạ Long bay is formed by Cát Bà island in the south and Cái Bầu island in the north. In fact, Cái Bầu aka Vân Đồn is the second biggest island in Việt Nam while Cát Bà ranks the third.
A spectacular experience, being able to go to Cat Ba & other options is brilliant, 2 nights 3 days – just perfect ⭐️- Thanks Mr Chai 👋😎✌️👍👏🙏
My own opinion IVietnam the most beautiful in south east Asia.
Adding to my list.
Seeing the commercialization that Ha Long Bay has become is very sad. The government has stepped in to regulate the boats and businesses that operate. In doing so have completely taken away the serenity and the quaintness the old junk boats had, replacing them with modern cookie cutter boats that lack charm and character. It has made these boats so big and impersonal, no longer can you have shared experience with 10-15 other guests, it more about maximizing the money the government and operators of these boats can take in. I feel blessed to have visited in 2004 and 2007 to truly experience just how this area was meant to be. And at a fraction of the cost they are charging now. I was in Hanoi in 2022 and couldn't believe the cost they were asking for 3 day 2 night cruise. Literally it was cheaper to go on a Caribbean cruise for 5 nights. Knowing what you can do in Vietnam for that kind of money it is far over priced!
Great video with some deep thoughts!
Tuyệt vời ❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great review, I’m glad someone is cleaning up the trash in Halong Bay. My Vietnamese wife and I was there in 2024. We got married in 2024. was our late honeymoon. But it was a wonderful trip. Our cabin wasn’t as luxurious as yours. But it had a private bath, queen size bed and a balcony 😊. How long are you staying in Vietnam?
Xin chào ❤ 1 subscribe
Wow I thought Thailand and the phillipines was spectacular mate this looks fucking awsome 👍
Vietnam said: You want views? I got views!
Ha Long Bay is the mystical place on earth. Thank you for sharing.
Cheers.
Thumbs up 👍 Champ
Nice to see more of Cat Ba. Back in time this island did not have much so its nice to this side of it.
Nice video! How much was the trip? Btw, are you flying a drone in your video?
Nice Tour ❤ Chai brother, Vietnam is amazing compared to rest of South East Asia
Why don’t you really be honest. You got paid to go on this tour.. good for you , but you should be upfront that this is really just an advertisement for the company who sponsored you.. So of course everything was positive .. you were a real channel now obviously sell out for free tours / clicks.
Indochine Grand is not the best of the best. Maybe one of the cheaper ones.
