【清水寺’新’紅葉名所発見】五条坂ルートで巡る京都清水寺の紅葉ガイド

Hello everyone. I’m Yuko from Zakyoto. Today is November 16th. I’m on Gojozaka now. Well, Gojozaka is at the foot of Kiyomizu Temple, speaking of Kiyomizu Temple, this is Gojozaka, this is Gojo Street. This is, this is Gojo Street, you go up this road and you’ll get to Shiga Prefecture. When you go to Kiyomizu Temple, most people probably go up the slope called Kiyomizu-zaka. That’s probably because it’s the slope that has the same name as Kiyomizu Temple. I think many people go from Kiyomizu-zaka, but actually climbing from this Gojo-zaka is also quite recommended, because, well, at the beginning, at the beginning of the video, it was showing, but this is it. I, I’m saying this and that, but this is my first time going there. It’s also my first time in Zakyoto history. This kind of beautiful place. It’s right at the foot of the mountain. Get off the bus stop and you’re right at the Gojozaka bus stop, and right away, the autumn leaves are already turning colors. There’s a place like that. The autumn leaves are already quite colorful, red. Yeah, it’s beautiful, somehow. This gradation is nice, isn’t it? …It’s like an orange color that makes you feel like it’s going to turn red soon. It’s really good. Really, what is this place? Shall we go back to the sea? But probably here. If you go up and, turn left, you can join Gojozaka, and if you climb Gojozaka, you can go to Kiyomizu Temple. So today, November 16th, is the middle of November, so, I’ve heard that Kiyomizu Temple has started to turn colors, so I’d like to see the situation of the autumn leaves. Actually, look at this. It’s coloring quite nicely. Beautiful. Beautiful, beautiful. No, really, what is this place? Ah, It seems to be called Otani Hombyo. Otani Hombyo, the history of Otani Hombyo. Jodo Shinshu was opened. Shinran Shonin Somehow at the age of 90 was. Well, I don’t really understand. Well, somehow. Yeah. Well, a little. Ah. So, does that mean it was built at the age of 90? I wonder if it was built in 1603. And it’s also very wide. Eh, like. Ah, isn’t this a very important place? There is a memorial hall for war dead. Those who died in the war, here I guess they are enshrined here. …This is a very important place, I didn’t know about this. I don’t think it’s even listed in the pamphlets, is it? Hee. Somehow, The current location is here, but if you go up this slope and go straight, there is a north gate, so I think we can get out from here, so let’s go through it since we’re here. And after we go here, we’ll go to Kiyomizu Temple, so I’m going to put it all together in one video. Today, if possible, Kiyomizu Temple, Tofukuji Temple, Toji Temple, I want to shoot three videos, and go. The time is The main gate is from 5:30 in the morning. Hee, until 17:30. So There is also a cafe. Again. What is it? Yeah. It is the general reception. Shall we go take a look? I see. Honro Kaiko. Ah, I see, there’s a cafe. There are souvenir shops and stuff. So, The gate is also very magnificent. Come on. Oh. Good words are written. Going back and forth between being trivial and important. Indeed. Just Saying a few hundred yen and such. But somehow, At a certain, random moment, I want to pay a few hundred yen in cash, but I only have a credit card. There are times when you can’t even buy something for 300 yen. It happens, right? Oh, it’s magnificent. It’s incredibly magnificent. This area is truly historical. There are many buildings, so, It’s nice. Why did so many people come earlier? What? I wonder, really. This place. Oh, but it says Kiyomizu-dera Temple is a 10-minute walk from here if you turn here. Let’s go out from this gate. Woah. This Isn’t Gojo Street, it’s not Gojo Street, not Gojozaka. Even further, Eh? The south side road, I, I understand. If you climb it at night,… it’s a little scary. Certainly, but, around here. I have a feeling I’ve passed this road once before. It’s already quite… That Arashiyama area, is quite becoming colored, it seems. Tenryu-ji Temple. Was it Tenryu-ji Temple? That… Sorry, I completely forgot. That one near Randen, right after getting off Randen… that temple, it seems to be at its best right now. I want to go see that too, but Kiyomizu-dera and Arashiyama are on opposite sides, so… West and East. I’ll revisit it another time, but today is really… Kiyomizu-dera, Tofuku-ji. Well, if possible, To-ji. I hope I can go. Wow, the scenery is so beautiful, just… Really. The scenery is incredibly beautiful. What is this mountain? The air feels so clean. I wonder if you can really get to Kiyomizu from here. But there are foreigners coming from the front, so… Which means… I think we can go. The air is so good. Around here. Ah, They’re guiding foreigners. I want to do that kind of job. I want to do a job like that, talking to foreign people,… with Zawa-kyou as the mediator, and with… For people who apply, to guide them around Kyoto. I want to do it with foreign people. But really, One bottleneck is that I can’t speak English at all. That’s the bottleneck. Yeah. I’m trying my best to study, like English… …and Chinese. I’m trying to study, but I can’t speak it at all. I wonder if this thing I’m really interested in, really interested in, will be made? This way. I was getting worried. Well, but this kind of thing, Walking on a road you’ve never been on before, this is also one of the pleasures of traveling, isn’t it? I thought there were no roads in Kyoto that I hadn’t been to, but. Surprisingly, there were. And today it’s a little warm in the direct sunlight. Nice and warm. I almost want to take off my jacket. Oh, that’s, huh? That’s Kiyomizu-dera. As it is, as it is, I wonder if it will connect directly to Kiyomizu-dera. Wow, amazing. Amazing. It’s a sheer cliff. Ah, this, It’s connected. This is Kiyomizu-dera. That There was a way to arrive at Kiyomizu-dera without going through any of the typical Kiyomizu-dera routes. Speaking of Kiyomizu-dera, that approach is what it is. It’s extremely lively, with souvenir shops and things like that, but. Wow, this road. There was this road. I can’t believe there was this road. Oh, Kiyomizu is ahead from here. Opens at 5 AM, opens at 6 AM, closes at 5 PM. Yumeko. Yes. Ah, It comes out here. I see. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Dumpling shop, tea shop. Mitarashi dango and stuff. Ah, This is, This way. Well, but really. It’s not autumn leaves, but The leaves themselves are turning red, like Somei Yoshino trees… Cherry trees, their leaves. They’re turning red. Do it. So, Kiyomizu-dera, Arrival entrance. Now, This is, This is what you all know, Kiyomizu-zaka. Right. We’ll go back down this way on the way home. Well, there are souvenirs and stuff, snacks, soft serve ice cream, and stuff, on sale. This is Kiyomizu-michi. Right. This way is, Kiyomizu-dera. Impressive. Lots of pictures are being taken, let’s not disturb them. Well then, Uh, once you arrive at Kiyomizu-dera Temple, uh, everyone, I think you’ll pass under this gate without hesitation and keep climbing up. Uh, at Kiyomizu-dera I want to let you know that there are other paths you should take, so I’ll tell you about them in this video. First of all, it’s good to climb these stairs, but before that. Uh, please go this way. The autumn leaves are beautiful on this side too. About 80% of people just go straight ahead. Look, these are autumn leaves. They’re incredibly beautiful. Incredibly beautiful. to This is, it’s amazing when it’s lit up, there’s a pond if you go straight ahead here, there is. In that pond, when it’s lit up, the autumn leaves, are reflected. It’s incredibly beautiful. I think you can see it properly after the light-up. Uh, I think the light-up at Kiyomizu-dera Temple is from November 22nd. Uh, until November 22nd, Kiyomizu-dera Temple is only open until around 5 or 6 pm, Uh, after the 22nd, including the 22nd, after that. Regarding that, Uh, until around 8 or 9 pm Uh, Kiyomizu-dera Temple will be open. Uh, maybe even… People who entered at like 3 or 4 am will be asked to leave. After they leave, it will be lit up. When it’s lit up, the red autumn leaves in front of you reflecting on this lake, are incredibly good. It’s already reflecting a little, though. So beautiful, ah, yes, yes, the still green autumn leaves on the right, are incredibly beautiful when they turn bright red. After all, it feels more like the leaves are starting to change color rather than being at their peak. So beautiful, this lake, not a lake, the pond. The autumn leaves reflecting on the pond are really beautiful. Everyone, please come and enjoy it when it’s lit up. And, I think you can only enter here, during the autumn leaves season. I wonder if it’s only during that time of the year. Or is it also during the cherry blossom season? I don’t know, but you can enter here. It’s usually not open to the public. You’re not allowed to take pictures or videos here, but it’s a really nice place, the garden is really beautiful, and I think it’s been, since how many years ago? From hundreds of years ago, the shape of that garden has been maintained. The position of the trees and the position of the stones. The lake, ah, the pond, the beautiful feeling has also been maintained, you can see a garden that’s like stepping back in time, like stepping back hundreds of years. I think it was about 1000 yen. It’s really nice, so please go if you like. The maple leaves here are still, the color hasn’t changed much, and also. Hmm, the way the colors are changing isn’t very pretty. After all, autumn leaves need a sudden drop in temperature. Uh, that’s what’s needed. Gradually, gradually, if it gets colder, if it’s a warm winter, it won’t turn beautifully red. It’s like that this year, so it’s a bit… It’s a little disappointing, but there are also brown autumn leaves. There are. Alright, so, uh, let’s go back to the entrance gate. So, we’re back at the entrance. We went this way earlier, but next time, we’ll go up from this proper gate. There’s another staircase next to it, but let’s go through this big gate if we’re going to go up anyway. It’s quite steep, so please be careful. It would be terrible if you fell. Entertainment is it? Eh So. Yeah. You can’t climb up here. You can only go up the middle stairs… on the second level. I want to wear a T-shirt and shorts. I also want to, it’s a bit hot, so I want to do that. There it is, there it is. So. Space. Yeah. It’s so cool. Well. Well, even on the way up to Kiyomizu, even on the way before entering the paid area, there are many things to see. Please enjoy the climb. It’s a bit off the purpose of this video, so I’ll film it this time. I wonder what this is. What are they preparing for? From the light-up. Well, so, from here, it’s a paid area. Before entering this paid area, this cliff. This is a great autumn leaves spot. Here. It’s a great autumn leaves spot. However, it’s still just starting to change color. It’s not red yet, just a little. Well, the area in front of us is pretty… It’s starting to turn red with gradation, but it’s still more green than anything else. And, if you go this way, you can overlook Kyoto City from here. Ah, Kyoto City has building height restrictions, so you can’t build tall buildings or hotels. Nor apartments. So there are actually no tower apartments in Kyoto City. That’s why it’s rare to find a place where you can… overlook the night view like this. Well, it’s not a night view now because it’s not night, but… These kinds of places are quite rare, so if you come to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, please take a look. There’s smoke rising a little to the left of Kyoto Tower. I wonder what that is. Yeah. Alright, alright, alright, there are many other spots in Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Kiyomizu-dera Temple is a very…a very typical tourist spot, but it’s absolutely… It’s the kind of place you absolutely go to when you come to Kyoto, so many people come here, but be sure to check this out. Many people just follow the route of other tourists… and follow the person in front of them, so there are surprisingly many places that they don’t try to see. Like the place where you can get a panoramic view of Kyoto City that I mentioned earlier. People often overlook those places and just move on, which is a bit of a waste. So, if you’re going to go all the way to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, please watch my video and make sure to visit the places that I say you should definitely go to. I hope you don’t miss them. think. Well then, Kiyomizu-dera Temple is 500 yen. For Adults 500 yen, Children 200 yen. Cheap. Too cheap. Ah. One adult, please. Thank you very much. Yes. I got a ticket for Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Yes. It’s autumn leaves now. Yeah, autumn leaves, look. This, um… It changes depending on the season. If you come here in the spring, this ticket will be a cherry blossom ticket. Right. Alright, alright, alright, everyone washes their hands here and cleanses themselves before entering. Well, there are a lot of people. There are so many people in Kyoto right now. Well, hotel prices are going up and up. … I wonder how much are hotel prices in Kyoto now? Hello. Hello. So, we’re in. … Ah, Wow, the construction is still going on. … And look, I wonder when this will be done, I feel like they were doing it last year too. So, First thing you see right after entering is on your right. Please take a look. As expected, the autumn leaves are more vibrant than before entering the gate. … Amazing. Yeah, but I still feel like it’s just starting to turn color. Yeah. Alright, let’s move on. . Alright, So, If you stay at a hotel for two nights and three days, from Friday the 21st to the 23rd this week, in that case, how much is the price per night? Huh? I wonder how much the price per night is. Wow, it’s incredibly expensive. … I’ll announce it later. … I’ll announce it, I’ll announce it later, but for now, there are various experience contents here. … A lot of people do this on Instagram with short videos, but you can’t pull this out no matter what. It’s incredibly heavy. Ah. Ah, this is not something a girl can pull out by herself. You can pull it out if you go to the right side, though. Oh, Oh, this man can definitely pull it out. … He might even do it with one hand. … Oh, oh, come on, come on, come on, come on. … Amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing. … I wonder if this guy will do it. I wonder if he will do it. Wow, Huh? He can’t do it either? Eh, Eh, Eh, no way. … Eh, I thought he could definitely do it. I thought he could definitely do it. Seriously? No way, even a Bob Sapp-like person couldn’t do it. You can do it. It’s not “You can do it”, it’s “You can’t do it.” Ah, Todai-Kokusen-Ebisu. … That is the god of business, probably. That is, Kiyomizu has a full set of amulets. … You can have good luck with money, you can advance in your career, you can have anything and everything. Right. I think they even have something for childbirth. That’s right, that’s right. Alright, I’ll announce the price of a one-night stay at a hotel in Kyoto later, when I have some free time, so please wait for that. … Ah, you pray here, toss a coin. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And here is the famous Kiyomizu stage. The famous Kiyomizu stage. Um, People in Kyoto often say, “Be prepared to jump off the Kiyomizu stage.” when they are making a resolution. “Work hard for your exams as if you’re prepared to jump off the Kiyomizu stage.” Um, That’s what they say, but the floor of the Kiyomizu stage is actually quite slanted. If you go straight, you could easily fall off if you pick up speed. … And jumping off the Kiyomizu stage means really jumping off from here, there was a legend that if you jumped off from here, you would be saved by God and your dreams would come true in the old days. So, people actually jumped off from here. … People jumped off from here for their families, for example. Here, oh, you really jump off from here. Really. And if you survive the jump, your dreams come true. That’s it. Actually, it seems that only about 1/3 of the people who jumped died in the old days. It seems that about 70% survived. The reason for that is that the ground below is quite dirt, Well, and it’s soft soil, so… Well, it seems quite a few survived. Well, of course, they did get fractures. Right, so part of their body would become immobile, but their dream would come true. Well, it was quite… …a gruesome place. Lighting incense. What’s this? Something like if you cover your head in the smoke, you’ll get smarter, There are so many things like that in Japan, I don’t even know anymore. I don’t know what kind of place Kiyomizu is. Look, look, look. Look at this. They really have everything. It’s… …totally packed. There’s longevity, fortune, and healthy legs and feet. Safe childbirth, protection from illness, Jizo statues, Slight hunger, headaches too. Seriously, headaches is way too niche. Really, I can understand slight hunger, but headaches is way too niche. I wonder what’s the least popular item. Well, I’m curious about the top 3 and bottom 3 amulets in the ranking. Yeah, the autumn leaves aren’t red yet. Yes, yes. So, this is the Kiyomizu Stage, as I said before. And you take a picture of this Kiyomizu Stage from over there. Taking it from over there is a pretty common… …way to enjoy it. The pamphlets, when it comes to Kiyomizu-dera, taking a picture of the Kiyomizu Stage, where I’m standing now, from over there, is a common way of photographing it for pamphlets. So, Well, from here, To the next spot, just… …walking for about 30 seconds or a minute. I’ll Announce the hotel prices. For Kyoto right now. I’ve sorted them. For November 21st, Friday to November 22nd, Saturday, one night, Uh, one night from Friday to Saturday. Sorted them, How much is it? Oh man, there are so many people, the signal is bad. It won’t come up. Wow, I want to take a picture of this too. No, this angle is good too. Nothing. Uh, Oh man. First, Um, well, Uh, there’s the Apa Hotel, a famous business hotel around the world, in Kyoto, um, not in Kyoto, but famous business hotel around the world, Apa Hotel is 17,000 yen a night. Oh man. That’s crazy. Wow, there’s so much construction. Wow, the construction is all the way here. There wasn’t construction here before. Yeah. It used to be just here, but now the construction is all the way over here. This is Jishu Shrine. The god of matchmaking. I think this was, uh, I think I came here about two years ago. This building has been demolished. It’s being torn down. I wonder if they’re building a new one. Or will they use the old lumber and… …rebuild it to some extent? I don’t know. Wow, hotels in Kyoto are really expensive. You should be prepared to pay about 10,000 yen a night. I think. Yes. Yeah, even a business hotel costs well over 10,000 yen a night. About 15,000 yen now, a night. And this is, uh… Well, Let’s search for, uh, December 10th next month. Probably, I think the autumn leaves this year will still be going strong until about December 10th. Like last year. Yeah. Well, A lot of people are going this way too. Well, when it comes to Kiyomizu-dera, taking a picture of the Kiyomizu Stage from this side is the standard, so I’ll stay on this side. So, for December… Since everyone probably expects the autumn leaves to be over by then, December 12th and 13th. I’ll check the hotel prices. I think everyone probably expects the autumn leaves to be over, but I think they’ll still be going strong. The autumn leaves will still be there. Some places, like Shimogamo Shrine, are quite late, until mid-December. It totally continued last year too. Yeah. It’s still 5,000 yen per night. …Hotel Livemax Kyoto Nijo, Nijo Castle North is 5,258 yen. It’s cheap after all. December is cheap. Ah, Nice, this angle. Kiyomizu stage from this angle. Nice, this is probably the Kiyomizu-dera… that everyone sees in pamphlets. I think. Still, It’s not really red enough to be called bright red. Everyone wants to take pictures here, so this is a waiting line, this one. Waiting in line. But if a tall person like me stretches out their hand like this, you can totally take a picture of that. Oh, it’s beautiful. It’s beautiful even if it’s not red. Just having Kiyomizu-dera makes it beautiful. Well, I’m taking too long, and people are crowding behind me, so… I’m going to move over. Okay, so Friday and Saturday, December 5th and 6th. I think December 5th and 6th will also be peak season for autumn leaves. Seriously, the best time to see them. I think most places will be at their peak. …What are the hotel prices like at that time? Yes, cheap. Ha Well, it’s around 9,000 yen and up. …Hotel Livemax Kyoto Nijo Castle North, which was 5,000 yen earlier, is 10,000 yen. …I feel like it’s gotten a lot cheaper. For this weekend, Friday and Saturday, it’s about 15,000 yen. The first week of December is 10,000 yen, and the Friday and Saturday of the second week of December are… 10,000… no, the second week is 5,000 yen. So it’s like it’s getting… dropping in price by 5,000 yen each week. That’s how it feels. Autumn leaves will still be happening around December 5th and 6th. Ah, this price is good, for sure. No, it’s subtle. So, you know, this year, the autumn leaves will be delayed a bit, so… Everyone, book your hotels now while the hotel rates for early December are cheap. …It was the same last year, but… around mid-December, I think the first week of December, the hotel rates were still 7,000 yen or so. …And because it was so cheap, I said, “The autumn leaves will definitely be delayed, so everyone should book their hotels for early December and come to Kyoto,” and in an instant, the hotels started increasing their prices. Yeah, right around that time, that video got about 70,000 views. And the prices went up in an instant. Those who were lucky enough to book their Kyoto trips were able to do so really cheaply, and I got a lot of gratitude for that. So, this year too, it’s going to be like that, and I think the autumn leaves will be delayed a bit. Eh, Even Kyoto Gyoen, the autumn leaves last until mid-December. So, if you’re watching this now, and you’re thinking, “I want to see the autumn leaves in Kyoto,” but you’re a little worried about the budget, then by all means, come in mid-December. …Probably, when it comes to mid-December, Kiyomizu-dera will be over. Kiyomizu-dera will be over, but places like the Imperial Palace and Shimogamo Shrine and other spots will still have autumn leaves. …If you’re okay with those kinds of places, then you can come and stay for 5,000 or 600 yen per night. Come to Kyoto, in mid-December. But if you really want to see the autumn leaves at Kiyomizu-dera, What’s over here? I’ve never been over here. I wonder what’s over here. …There shouldn’t be anything, though. There shouldn’t be anything, but let’s go check it out. So, if you really want to see Kiyomizu-dera, then the first week of December, um, Hotels were 10,000 yen per night, so book that and come to Kyoto. …I think hotels will probably be no less than 15,000 yen per night throughout November. I don’t think so. So, If you want to travel to Kyoto cheaply, then by all means, in December, book your hotel and come, I think. Huh? What? Seikan-ji Temple is 500 meters away on foot. Huh. Gates close at 5:30 PM. Huh, I don’t know anything about it, this Seikan-ji. Let’s go. Let’s go, let’s go. I like this kind of thing. Here, as expected, in places where the sun doesn’t shine,… the leaves don’t turn red. In places like this where the sun doesn’t hit much, dark places or places with high humidity, the leaves are still green. Ryoko. I was too hot until just now because of the direct sunlight, and I’m a little thirsty from talking too much, I want a vending machine. I want to buy tea. For women, don’t walk alone. What? It’s dangerous. I mean, bears have been appearing in Kyoto recently. Really. If a bear really comes out, I’ll leave this camera and run away, everyone. And I’ll probably come back to pick it up in about 3 hours. It’s really dangerous, you know, for bears to come out. And a cloud appeared at my alma mater, it seems like. Well, it’s kind of scary. I wonder what’s over here. I wonder if Seikanji Temple is really there. It said 500 meters. Speaking of which, I had a lot of fun in Malaysia. It was really good, really. Like Kuala Lumpur, too, was a lot of fun. It was so dazzling, that if you talk about yin and yang, I’m almost entirely yin, so it was a little too bright for me. But it was fun. I kind of like… I like finding local shops, so I went to local places in Kuala Lumpur, not the tourist markets, um… I went to a lot of local places. And when you go to local places, rats are running around, and cats and rats are fighting, and I thought, well, it’s just Tom and Jerry. Yeah, I wasn’t really used to that, so I was a little overwhelmed by the quality of overseas. In Japan, you don’t see rats and cats fighting on the street very often. Huh? Wait a minute, should I go straight, or should I go right? Which way? I don’t know. What’s going on here? Really. I’ve never been here before, so I don’t know at all. I mean, if you don’t enter Kiyomizu-dera Temple here, oh, it’s the Kyoto Isshu Trail. Actually, I’ve already streamed a video of the Kyoto Isshu Trail at “Za Kyoto,” but it’s become like a dark history, and it’s not being played at all, but I’ve posted a video of walking the mountain path for about 5 or 6 hours, so I want you to watch it again, but it really wasn’t played at all. Oh, a vending machine. Vending machine. Asahi. Something like, Wow, what a subtle lineup. Wow. Barley tea, maybe. Oh, but it accepts cashless payments. Just now, barley tea, let’s see. Rakuten card, with QuickPay. Huh? QuickPay doesn’t work? It opened. Wow, Wait a minute, there’s water for 20 yen next to it. I feel like I lost out a little. I ordered 140 yen barley tea. It’s like the Bamboo Forest Path, Arashiyama. Okay everyone, Cheers with barley tea. Wow. Wow, today’s Kiyomizu Maple Leaves Check video. It’s just too much content. This road is usually closed, I think. I haven’t really been there much, because it’s a zone you can enter from the paid area. I wonder if people who live here have to pay 500 yen every time they go home and go through the paid area. And I just realized my battery is low. I didn’t bring my portable charger today. I might not be able to go to Tofuku-ji Temple. This is, Oh, the restroom is有料 (yūryō – toll/fee), it says 100 yen. Oh, This way? This is it. The grave of the Emperor? Huh, there’s an Emperor’s grave. No, really, walking where there’s no path… …on a path that seems right. I’m walking. Seriously, this place. Well, it says this place closes at noon, closes at 5:30 PM, um… …so people who come for the light-up can’t come this way. Just a bit in the afternoon, afternoon and light-up, the fee is the same. Then I kinda think it’s more advantageous to come to the light-up, which isn’t usually done. But thinking about this, well, the daytime isn’t bad either. I think so. Thinking that way, I have a feeling that I usually come here at night, not during the day. That’s why I might not know much about it. Wow, this side too, the autumn leaves are great. Yeah. This, I think I should make the video separate. Well, whatever. But even this path, it’s not that well, I feel like a bear might come out, but it’s not that it’s not safe, actually, there were quite a few people. Oh, it says Imperial Household Agency, oh, so this is the grave. Land, Land Emperor Hoshikan Shoganji Temple Emperor Takakura. Oh, it seems to be a grave where two Emperors are buried. I think there was one in Yamashina before. I think there was an Emperor’s grave. Yeah, in Kyoto, there are quite a few Emperor’s graves like this, I wonder if it’s just Kyoto. And, like this, it says Imperial Household Agency. I said Imperial Household Town in that video, and I got a lot of flak in the comments, but it says Imperial Household Agency, and there’s a gate like this in front of the grave, usually. And beyond that, there’s a place that’s closed off with doors. Graves like that are in various places in Kyoto. Being able to see those is also a plus. Oh, an Emperor is like a king overseas, right? Like a prince. Princess, prince, well, something like that. Something like that. Ah, Is the center有料 (yūryō – toll/fee)? Seriously? Let’s just check the price. I guess I won’t go inside. Just budget-wise, video budget-wise. If someone gives me a super chat, I think I’ll go. How much, how much is it? How much is it? 100 yen? Seriously? Cheap. Well, believing that someone will give me 100 yen in super chat, shall we go? Alright. Oh, crap. Eh, Coming here, I don’t have a 100 yen coin, I had it, I had it, I had it. What I said at the beginning of the video is pretty much a lie. Something like going back and forth. What was it? It was like going back and forth between something and something. Yes. I’ll put 100 yen in this offertory box and proceed. Closed, 4 o’clock. After all, the gate is open until 5:30, but this place is, uh, so beautiful. So beautiful, it’s worth paying 100 yen for this. This is totally worth paying 100 yen. It’s so beautiful, this. What is this? So beautiful. Let’s go. Amazing. The moss is so beautiful. Ah. Amazing. Look at this beautiful moss. So amazing. This nicely curved tree is also nice. There’s also gold. Hmm. I don’t know anything about the Sai-kanji Temple. Oh, but it’s really… The autumn leaves are beautiful. This place is kinda… I feel like it’s the most beautiful place I’ve been to today. Somehow this gold, gold and a very nice angle. Ah, it’s so good. It’s so good. Adjusting to the brightness of the bell, ah, it’s so good. It’s so good. The best. Yeah. I’m going to use this for the thumbnail. … No, what should I do? I also want to use Kiyomizu-dera Temple for the thumbnail. But at this Sai-kanji Temple, the autumn leaves are really beautiful, even at this time of year. Everyone, please… If you come to Kiyomizu-dera Temple for lunch, please come and visit. There’s also something that looks like a well. I wonder if we can’t climb any further from here. It doesn’t look like we can climb any further from here. Oh, it’s a grave. No, the view is really good here. And it’s only 500 yen. I don’t understand. A little bit, It’s so good here. It’s open. Yeah. It’s beautiful. The autumn leaves are so beautiful. Keystone. I feel like the keystone appeared in some anime. That If you have a wish, …then let your steps carry you forward. There is a keystone near the garden. So, if you have a wish, …move forward. I wonder if the keystone can grant wishes, this stone. Is that what it means? Huh. It’s so good here. The air is clean, and the sunlight is warm. Ah. Somehow, It’s a mysterious place. Me and Such a mysterious place. I feel like I’m getting so much power. Old stories Did you eat it? While we were strolling around Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Emperor Takakura, …the imperial territory, …by the shore, …we stopped by Sai-kanji Temple, and when the monk of the temple told us the story of Prince Shotoku’s …love story, Kuroda was struck by a strange emotion as if he was detached from reality. Huh. This work was completed in 1898, but the work has disappeared. Currently, the only way to… …know the whole work is this subject. This subject, huh? Wow. This is Seikan-ji Temple. Yeah. There’s a lot written here. January 1908, let’s see. What year is it? What year is it in the 1900s? The Meiji era. So, for now, Shall we go back to the road to Kiyomizu-dera Temple? Ah. There are foreigners who don’t pay 100 yen to enter, even though it’s written in English. Can’t they read English? No, but this 100 yen for Seikan-ji Temple is …too cheap. I thought they’d charge like 1000 yen. Or rather, this Kiyomizu-dera Temple video is …too voluminous. Let’s do Taisan-ji Temple tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow, or… …around that time. It’s getting fun. It’s already been about an hour and a half since we started filming. We’ve been to about three places, after all. The very beginning, that, …the place where those who died in the war are …enshrined, Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Seikan-ji Temple, …and now we’re trying to go back to Kiyomizu-dera Temple. But there are still… …many beautiful places that we haven’t filmed yet. Let’s film those and end today’s video. So, since the way back is the same way, I was thinking of skipping it. No, I’ll stop, I won’t skip it. Okay. So, that. Well, since we’re going all the way back from here, …it should take about 10 minutes to walk. Maybe not 10 minutes, maybe about 5 minutes. We should have to walk. While walking for those 5 minutes, somehow, a lot of things. I, No, no, no, no, no, shorts, shorts. One one mini two. Yeah. Yeah. 100 yen. One hundred JPY. 100. 7. 1. What is it? Yes, yes, yes. Um, a foreigner, um, …this, this slope, is long. I heard it was extremely long, but, um, …um, the slope where the Emperor’s grave is located. I was thinking, “If it’s extremely long, I’ll stop,” or something like that, probably. But when I was asked if it was extremely long, …and they said “long,” I said, “No, it’s short.” I can’t speak English at all, but I can speak this much English, you know? So, somehow, um. That, …when they asked if it was long, and I said it was short, they said, “Oh, okay,” and “Oh, then I’ll go,” they said, and …somehow, I said, “It’s 100 yen,” and I thought, “Oh, the ‘100’ in ‘100 yen’ isn’t English.” I thought I should say it in English. I said “one hundred JPY.” I should have said “Japanese yen,” but I said “JPY.” And, um, that’s it, that’s it. The foreigner who came down with me …said, “Very expensive!” and said it was extremely expensive, but I said, “No, it’s not like that!” When I said it was extremely cheap, um, …they said “no count,” like it was as if they hadn’t paid. We talked and went in. Probably, probably. Well, I can’t speak English, but somehow, even though I can’t speak English, I want to talk to foreigners. So, I really thought this when I went to Malaysia the other day. I want to be able to speak English. And I’ve been to English conversation schools many times, and… Well, I haven’t been to English conversation schools. That English conversation app? I’ve tried putting something like that in and doing it, but… I can’t speak English at all. I guess, something like Rizap English… Something that commits to results. I’m thinking now that I need to go to something like that. Really, The battery. The battery is low. I really won’t be able to film Tofukuji Temple today, with this. Well, But really, Probably the autumn leaves will be late this year too. Oh, yeah, and I was taking a break earlier. At Seigan-ji Temple. Seigan-ji Temple was so healing, I was taking a long break,…actually about 30 minutes, I stopped the camera halfway and took a break. While I was taking a break at Seigan-ji Temple, um… That’s it, that’s it. When I looked up various Kyoto news, after all, each railway company foreseeing the delay… Um… Light up. What was it? Uh… There’s a tunnel of autumn leaves. Um… Uh, is it the Eizan Electric Railway? Eizan Electric Railway. The Eizan Electric Railway that goes from Demachiyanagi Station to Kifune Shrine, or Kifune Shrine? Kifune Shrine or Kurama Temple… Uh, there’s a light up. So it’s like both sides of the train are completely enveloped in autumn leaves. There is that. And, when the train passes through that section with the light up, it runs very slowly only in that section. That’s what they… Uh, that’s what they do, but… This year, the autumn leaves are late, so… The autumn leaves are late, so, uh… They said they’re extending it until November 30th, I think. You know, until now, really mid-November, from mid to late November, was the peak season, but… Maybe it’s because of the effects of global warming in recent years, but the leaves are getting red later and later. So, with things like that, railway companies are also responding in that way. Yeah. You know, but, still, people haven’t noticed that it’s delayed, the autumn leaves. So, mid-November, around this time, hotels are really expensive, but… Um… Is this Kiyomizu too? Let’s go there a little bit today, let’s go there too. Yeah, Some people haven’t noticed, but maybe the people who came now were a little disappointed. It’s still green. It’s not completely red, so it might have been a little disappointing. So, you know… We need to update, you know, from now on, the peak for autumn leaves will probably be early to mid-December, not mid to late November. Let’s all adjust to that. But because everyone doesn’t know that, you can get hotels cheaper. If you want to travel to Kyoto cheaply, by all means… Uh… Please come during this time. No, not during this time, come to see the autumn leaves around mid-November. Oh. It comes out here. That’s Kiyomizu-dera’s stage. This, You can see Kiyomizu-dera’s stage from the opposite side. This is the place. Even this is really… It’s pretty good. The autumn leaves, the autumn leaves, you know. Yeah. And these stairs… If you go down, you’ll bump into the way back… But. Here too, actually, this… This place too, when you come to Kiyomizu-dera, it’s a place you should definitely go to, but… Mostly, About 60 or 70 percent of the people who come here pass right by it. So, if you come to Kiyomizu-dera, please come this way. I also This, you know Miso Now, I went up that hill earlier, and went to Seigan-ji Temple, but… Like this. I’ll go down. Look, but everyone still passes by this road. I want them to go up this way. It’s so great. This place is still a bit… A bit… It’s turning color. Somehow, I haven’t seen it. I think this is probably my first time here. Kiyomizu Stage. Already… Yeah. Ha. Why am I doing this? There are a lot of people, though. It’s much better than the light-up. This… When it’s lit up, three to four times more people come. Still, this area… The places that don’t get sunlight are still quite green. But some of them are turning red. It’s beautiful. Really. Yeah… I end up looking up, you know, on this road. Even when I’m walking this road, instead of looking at my usual line of sight, I look up like this, because the view above is more beautiful. It is. Ah, it really becomes like this. At night, the light-up at Kiyomizu-dera. This year it’s until December 7th. Oh no, my battery is down to 20 percent. The meaning of this water. At Kiyomizu-dera, too… I’ve been there over 50 times, but I still don’t know. Please tell me if you know. Okay, This is the Kiyomizu Stage, seen from below. That’s right. Well… In the old days, they really jumped from here. If you jumped and survived, your wish would come true, or so they say. It’s said that if you jump from here and survive, your wish will come true. That’s what people said about this place. It’s really impressive when you see it from below. You don’t have to do that. Well… To… Over here too… I wonder what this is. I wonder what kind of flower this is. Weeping cherry. Ah, this one. It’s not spring yet, though. It’s still green here. It’s still too early. Still too early. But around here, you know… The autumn leaves in the shade… Turn red later. Yes, it’s a tea house. Yeah, it’s really nice to see the red autumn leaves and… Eat dumplings and drink tea at the tea house. It’s really great. Well, it’s still green. About two weeks. The best time to see it is probably… Is it the 14th or 15th today? It’s two weeks away, so it’s probably late in the month… early December or… End of November. Isn’t it? Ah, the autumn leaves here turn a beautiful red. Always. And the autumn leaves reflected on the water surface are also beautiful. And when it’s lit up, it’s even more beautiful. Yeah. Have free time. I think this is necessary. Oh. Embraced love. Not really… Ah… Look, look, look. Oh, Were you over there too? It’s black so you can’t really see it. It came thinking it would get food. Look. Like this, If you do this, If you do this, they will come. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, wow, the autumn leaves here are so beautiful. Red. This place is beautiful. Ah, this is beautiful too. Yeah. Ah, it’s this way. This place is so beautiful. Close. So, The cherry blossoms are, buds. Like this. Is it? Well. From here… So, I’ve gone around once. I wonder how long the video is now. It’s about an hour. I think the video itself is about an hour long, isn’t it? I took a break for about 30 minutes too. I’m back at the entrance. Yes, So, that’s Kiyomizu-dera. I’ve seen it all once. Well, I can’t go to Tofuku-ji Temple today, so… Well, I have 12% battery left, so… A little bit of this Kiyomizu-zaka, The crowd of people… And the amount of… That kind of situation, at the end… After reporting on that, Let’s finish up. Well, there are still a lot of people. So many people, oh, there are swallows. Swallows are flying at the height of people’s faces. Ah. I’m sweating. Oh, I’m sweating quite a bit, I’m saying. It’s a little hot today, isn’t it? It’s hot, but… Even though it’s this time of year, it’s hot, so if you dress like it’s this time of year, it might be quite hot today. If these kinds of days continue, the autumn leaves won’t change as beautifully. And here, you can buy Yatsuhashi, and there are a lot of… You can sample a lot, and they give out tea at the entrance. It’s really good. When I was an elementary school student, I didn’t have any money, so if I wanted to eat a snack, I would come to this store. Really. Well, I’ll become an adult and properly, spend a lot of money, so, well, I’m advertising for them now. Yeah. Amazing. So many people. So that’s why I think Sannen-zaka and Ninen-zaka will have about this many people… I think so. Yes. There are so many people. Stop. Sta. Yeah. The old lady said “stop”, but I wonder what it was. Huh? I wonder if they’re doing something here. I wonder if they’re opening a tenant. Wow, it’s really popular. Five baskets. Parents are saying. Together. Discount. Oh, that’s good. I haven’t given it to you yet. What. Look. It’s rare. Because I can’t. I was spoken to in Chinese like crazy. In Chinese. Well, you see, even though I’m Japanese, I look Chinese because I’m tall. And to Chinese people, something, Li-like, how do you get around, like, could you show me around this area, something like that, they say in Chinese sometimes. Seriously, I only don’t understand Chinese. Yeah. I wonder what I said to that Chinese person. Yes. Yeah. Ah, Baum, when you think of Kyoto, you think of Kyo Baum. Seriously, the entrance is so stylish. For souvenir recommendations, Kyo Baum, Yatsuhashi, and… …that kind of thing is recommended. . Cheap. Thin. Well, somehow, you know, that… …I guess I don’t look Japanese. Japanese people speak to me in English instead of Japanese. Good. Wow, that taxi is pitiful, coming all the way here. It takes a lot of time to get out of this taxi from here. Seriously. That’s too bad. Maybe I should get off here. From here on, it’s not that there are a lot of shops, but rather hotels and such. It’s a place where they are. Well, originally, places like this… …are supposed to prioritize pedestrians, you know. Well… The taxi, the taxi too, you know, It passes through. It passes through, but I want them to pass me, but they can’t, the taxis, really. Poor thing. Wow, 4th street, wow, let’s film the ending around here. Uh, is, ah, mochi. It’s that thing that’s trending on SNS. A toy store that’s trending on SNS, Mochimochi, Well, let’s just say that for now, um, if you liked today’s video, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel. Um, your comments encourage me to make more videos, so… …please do so. Um, when writing a comment, um, it doesn’t have to be in Japanese. Please write in your native language. Um, so, that’s it, wow, and also, and also I can still talk. Um, what do you think of, everyone, the autumn leaves at Kiyomizu-dera Temple? Really, I think it was incredibly beautiful. For me, the Saiko-ji Temple that I happened to come across was much better than Kiyomizu-dera Temple. So, um, I’d like to end it here today. Thank you everyone. Bye-bye.
