This time, we finally arrived in Chongqing and witnessed the “Mountain City.” There are many strangely shaped buildings, and we saw the legendary Hongyadong. We also took a cable car to see the night view. The food was as usual, with authentic old-fashioned street food as well as modern, high-quality delicacies. This time, we made a mistake and ate a spicy hot pot during the hottest part of summer . Finally, we encountered a foolish accident and even missed our flight… This trip was truly unforgettable . After a two-hour journey by express train, high-speed train, and bullet train, we arrived in Chongqing . It was completely different from Chengdu a few days ago; the feeling was very different. This city is called the Mountain City; the roads and urban structure are high and low, intricate and complex. It has a more old-fashioned feel compared to Chengdu. Now we’re going to the Jiefangbei area… There are many things to eat and many attractions. For our first meal, we ate at a Chongqing-style bench noodle shop . The benches are small stools, . and the tables on the street are made of plastic. Because it was raining today, we couldn’t sit down. The sign on the street says “Sanhe Mian” (Three-in-One Noodles), which is their signature thin noodles. They have spicy oil and many dishes, including three different kinds of meat: beef, pork intestines, and beef tendon . I like the noodles; they are very fragrant and springy. I tried it. My only understanding of Chongqing hot and sour noodles is hot and sour noodles. It’s not the hot and sour noodles you know, nor the hot and sour noodles I know. The main thing is the aroma of the chili oil . What does Hong Kong hot and sour noodles taste like? It’s always MSG mixed in. This is not the pungent taste of Hong Kong. I always see the food… It’s oily but not too oily, and the vinegar is very fragrant. OK~ I learned how to make this cold rice cake in Chengdu. It’s actually made from pea flour, with a chewy and smooth texture, and you eat it with some brown sugar. This one is even stronger, with some ice added. If you eat something very spicy, you should take a bite of this. It’s very smooth , salty, and sweet. You’re from Guangdong, but I ‘m not here now. I’m not in Chongqing, and I don’t have this song. It’s like egg white , smooth like steamed egg white. I’m coming into the room. This room is called San Shi. There are two San Shi stores in Chongqing, both in the Muji style. This one is the Hongyadong store. It’s a very simple style, very convenient. Let me show you the room . We just glanced at the whole thing. I was looking for the refrigerator, which is for iced drinks. It’s super mini, really for iced drinks, and you can’t buy popsicles . There ‘s a simple clothes rack for clothes and some luggage . The restroom is an open space , a simple open area. There ‘s a hairdryer on this side, all you need . It’s a ‘s a
shower, and they’re separate. dry and wet separation toilet, that’s it. And what I found interesting is that many hotels in Chongqing are in one building with different hotel brands. For example, two or three floors are one hotel, then the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh floors are another brand. Even the cheapest and most expensive are different . When you’re in the elevator, you might think, “Wait, is it safe to share with other hotels ?” But actually, they’re all very beautiful and comfortable. The environment is all consistent in style, so there’s no worry about it being a subdivided flat. As soon as you step out of the elevator, you feel the atmosphere, that’s the style here. Our first attraction today is Chongqing’s Eighteen Steps, an old mountain street between the upper and lower parts of Chongqing. It existed as early as the Song Dynasty. Because this road is very rugged, legend has it that residents had to climb eighteen steps to reach the well, hence the name. The ancient well is now the center of attention. Looking around, there’s nothing there . When you come to Chongqing, you should experience the culture of “gathering around a stove to brew tea . ” I found a tea stall with a great photo opportunity. Gathering around a stove to brew tea is a part of Chongqing’s culture; it’s a relaxed way to drink tea, chat , and eat sunflower seeds. You can even cook some vegetables along the way and brew tea. I think you’re a perfect fit for this scene . I guess what you’re thinking ? Uncle is eating sunflower seeds and enjoying his tea. This is Chongqing’s “Lao Yin Cha, ” a Chongqing specialty. What does it taste like? It’s a bit like Pu’er tea. This is a famous tourist spot, so most of the shops inside are souvenir shops. When you come to Chongqing, of course you have to buy hot pot base. This one is particularly exaggerated— it has… There are many different kinds of chilies: Indian ghost pepper, Guizhou lantern pepper, bullet pepper. The clerk said the spiciest is Yunnan shabu-shabu pepper, so spicy that it contains ten peppers. The whole suitcase is this heavy, heavier than rice, weighing more than 5KG. I saw this!! Recently, it seems to be quite popular in different parts of the world, called alcohol trading. Its price is linked to the system, and the price will rise or fall based on the real-time buying and selling situation . Did the price of that white beer go up after you bought it? We bought it for over twenty dollars, nineteen dollars, so you made a profit and sold it to them. You stand there and see if anyone buys or sells it to you. The transaction volume is ML. Yes , because we bought it , it didn’t go up. You thought you made a profit. Those who bought it for over ten dollars just now got a bargain, I made a profit! Yesterday it was only $5… Some people bought the wrong thing and felt bad about it… Buy the wrong thing, buy a second one, beer, stock market, small investors, then rush to Hongyadong for dinner. Hongyadong is Chongqing’s most representative landmark, a unique building with stilted buildings built on the mountainside, plus stairs, very characteristic of the mountain city . At night, when it’s lit up with yellow lights, the scene is very dreamlike, and it’s called a real-life Spirited Away. The scene was very crowded. It wasn’t peak season that day, but during the National Day Golden Week, it would be impossible to move. I often feel like I’ve traveled through time because many people are wearing Hanfu and changing into those clothes to take pictures. There are many people asking you questions. $10-20 per photo including makeup and retouching. It’s just a constant stream of photos from Then there are many people in ancient costumes walking by. There different eras. Have we traveled through time ? There’s the Han Dynasty… Tang and Song Dynasties… Ming and Tang Dynasties… many… Are you going to wear that later, slender Don’t laugh at me for being thin yet plump! I couldn’t resist going for a travel photoshoot myself. As for the price and the process, I’ll tell you after I finish eating. or plump? Do you all feel the same way as me? My partner’s sleep schedule is affected by minor health issues, impacting our daily life. Like my husband, he has nasal allergies and insomnia, often sneezing and having a stuffy nose at night. If I try to wake him up early the next day, he gets very irritable. These issues affect us, leading to frequent arguments. I ‘ve tried many methods to solve this. Recently, I learned about Ledao University’s Cordyceps, which 3 Hong Kong universities have authoritative certifications is effective for dry coughs, asthma , nasal allergies, and insomnia. The brand is reputable , an industry authority for various coughs and respiratory problems,
, and certified by three local universities. Clinical test results show that 85% can truly improve [ the condition]. This product addresses stubborn coughs, nasal allergies, and insomnia using patented university technology. Its antioxidant capacity surpasses that of wild Cordyceps
3.7 times higher. sinensis, boasting the highest concentration of adenosine in Cordyceps on the market. One capsule is equivalent to 128 pieces of Cordyceps, offering exceptional value. In short, its efficacy is powerful, with multiple authoritative certifications . Made in Hong Kong, it’s safe to consume. My husband has been taking it for about a week , and his nasal allergies and hiccups have significantly decreased. He’s less irritable and more energetic in the mornings, and his eye bags have shrunk considerably. Even though I don’t have nasal allergies, I still take it as a daily supplement. Cordyceps has strong antioxidant properties, which can combat aging and improve a constitution prone to coldness and blood stasis. I don’t usually travel; I mostly stay home editing videos and using the phone— I’m a homebody with little exercise. Plus , the air conditioning is often on, so my hands and feet are cold, and my blood circulation is poor. After taking it for a while, I feel more energetic, less easily tired, and my overall condition has improved. It’s much better now. Ledao University Cordyceps is currently on sale at Wanning November 15th (Saturday),
for one day only! The Wanning special price is 199 yuan per box.
Wanning’s special price is only valid on November 15th. Buy more, get more free. Buy 12 boxes and get 2 free, averaging only 170.6 yuan per box. The best deal of the year! See the text box for more details. Don’t miss it!! We are currently looking for a hot pot restaurant. The address is on the second floor, but you know this is a mountainous city with a complex layout. We asked some people and they said the hot pot restaurant is on the 11th floor, but the map clearly says it’s on the second floor. Actually, it’s the second floor of a certain floor , but the 11th floor of another building is also the second floor here, so it’s very confusing. While we are looking , there is a saying that Chongqing punishes those who don’t do their homework. That is, if you don’t look carefully and find the place you want to go, you will waste a lot of energy and time. We finally experienced the food… It’s just a meal, but we had to go up and down, and walk through a shopping mall ! Wow, it was full of people dressed in ancient costumes, all preparing for a travel photoshoot—it was spectacular! After much hardship, we finally reached the hot pot restaurant . We saw the sign for this restaurant when we were looking for the second floor , but we had no idea how to cross this bridge or how to get here from nowhere. We were just navigating through this complex shopping district, constantly taking elevators, and then we finally reached this flat area. Our hot pot tonight is by the river! Look, it’s a nine-palace hot pot restaurant—so happy! Let me show you the view! We went through all this trouble just to eat this hot pot! There are so many dishes because it’s popular to eat them in small bowls. We got zero calories on stage ! Most importantly … we’re going into the water… (Finally, we can eat after all this talk!) The soup base is so thick ! This soup is so oily… I keep swallowing it … Here’s a duck blood review for you . I see you’re eating duck blood too. It’s so refreshing! Why is this lady wiping a tissue? I accidentally dropped a tissue. What did you wipe on your tissue? It was n’t your snot … No… No… I don’t know what you wiped on it… Hey… It’s okay, it’s okay, it’s been cooked before . We ate very quietly this meal . Last night we ate hot pot and had a great time in Chengdu, constantly adding more. Today, nothing felt fresh or surprising. I just ate some tripe, which was very ordinary quality, and the beef was also just so-so. I don’t recommend this place. The difference is huge. It ‘s all based on those… Little Red Book posts. It ‘s really all about the scenery . The platform next to this place has also been photographed so far. We decided to change the soup because it’s really oily and spicy. Maybe we’ll change to a tomato soup. We left the rest of the ingredients. When we arrived at Hongyadong, everyone was really… Even while taking photos, people kept trying to solicit business, offering $20-30 per photo, claiming it included professional retouching, professional editing, and a photographer with lighting— the difference would be huge ! They even taught you poses, how to lift your chest and flatten your stomach, how to find the slimmest angle, turning an old lady into a star in a second— they felt so good about themselves! Finally , they bargained down to $200 for 12 photos , and the retouching was just powerful AI photo editing, not bad… I treated it as a joke and played around for an hour, thinking it was all worth it . Everyone was happy throughout the whole process. Two hundred dollars for a memory, OK? In the market, there was a small, old-fashioned breakfast shop that ‘s been serving Chongqing-style noodles for over twenty years. It had a real street -side charm . Trying the old shop’s flavor , I felt the people of Chongqing were very generous ; everyone on the street was shouting with great energy. Some were chatting across the street. I thought they were arguing, but they were actually chatting and laughing loudly . Our breakfast today was very authentic ; it’s the kind of breakfast that older folks in Beijing would eat. What’s interesting is that the signboard here is called “Oil-fried Tea” (Old Oil Tea). I really thought it was like those Xinjiang milk teas or “old oil teas,” but it’s actually rice porridge, like a bowl of congee. I had this local uncle try it to see if it was congee . The fried vegetables already had flavor. Is it
Old Oil Tea”: made from fried rice flour soup with crispy fried dough sticks, pickled vegetables, peanuts, and other seasonings, it’s a Chongqing specialty breakfast really congee? If it is, why is it called tea ? It’s because I’ve never tasted it before. I tried it, and it had a bit of Sichuan peppercorn flavor, like a spicy and numbing aroma. It was a very mild congee, not spicy at all. Chongqing noodles were delicious , with a touch of numbing and salty flavor. They were very flavorful, with some peanuts and pickled green beans. Delicious! This is the kind of old shop you have to eat. As soon as I started eating … The old-fashioned flavors truly capture the essence of Chongqing. Everything is infused with the aroma of Sichuan peppercorns and spices . The bread is even served with brown sugar – so delicious! Next to the market is a place called Lu Zu Temple, where many young women were taking photos. This recently revitalized historical site boasts boutiques, vintage clothing stores , and several popular cafes. I ‘ve seen people on Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media platform) say it has a sophisticated Shanghai vibe, which I agree with. It’s so different from the noisy atmosphere of the surrounding old neighborhoods. I went into a beautiful bakery to pay my respects. I even saw that one of the contestants from the “One Meal to Deify” competition was the baker behind their amazing croissants! The bouncy mushroom is pretty, its edges are pretty, it has chocolate flavor, black pepper beef and egg flavor, um, this is interesting, this is okay . What is “Jian Shou Qing” (见手青) croissant ? It’s a kind of mushroom . “Jian Shou Qing” is a mushroom … This is “Jian Shou Qing”. I’ve never eaten it or heard of it before. I just found out it’s a mushroom. It should be this piece. Next to it is a shaped piece with roasted green peppers. The pastry is very loose , layered, its edges are pretty, it has roasted green pepper flavor, and it never really blends with the bread. It’s a very interesting feeling. Um, this mushroom is okay. How interesting ? It has a matsutake mushroom flavor and a soup flavor. Um, now we’re taking the subway to another attraction that can only be reached by subway, called Li Ziba. It’s a very famous attraction where the subway goes into the building. Then we need to choose the first card, which should be able to capture the scene of passing through its tunnel and through its building. To capture that train front view, I need to buy a fingerprint cleaner to wipe the glass. It’s very dirty. Li Ziba Station is a major attraction in Chongqing. The light rail is inside a residential building. Every day, the train passes through the building. This spectacular sight attracts many tourists every day. We can take the subway there and personally witness the moment of passing through the building. Along the way, we can also see the Jialing River. The scenery is nice. Just after exiting the gate, there are two or three… After exiting the building , there are some signs pointing directly to the observation deck. The sign indicates you need to go through the souvenir shop; there’s no sign saying “direct” to the railway station exit. There’s another souvenir shop here . Each floor has a bend … it’s a lie… a lie is a lie. Don’t believe them, don’t trust them. One sign says “turn right,” then a security guard says “go in the opposite direction”… of course, you should trust the security guard,
(young man, you’re too young!) but actually you should trust the ordinary person. Don’t trust anyone!! Then it says “direct” again… it’s impossible to reach . Finally arrived! This is the best spot for photos; it should be over there. Going to Singapore , you have to wait for the trains. Each train is quite long, about five minutes apart. I just finished waiting in line, and those people were all gone in five minutes. I finally managed to find a spot by the railing. The method for securing a spot: the older women hold onto their spots like this while waiting for the train. Now, let’s go down to Haoli, which is also an old village with some older buildings . It’s been renovated and revitalized with some cultural and creative industries . There are many restaurants, which I think are a bit like SOHO restaurants—quite stylish. There are also some bars and fusion restaurants. I quite like the atmosphere. We were very hungry, so we went into one restaurant because… We went there expecting a banquet, but it turned out to be a very elegant and Zen-like afternoon tea place. We were quite hungry, so we ordered fried rice, which seemed a bit out of place. There were some scholarly items, like paper, brushes, ink, and inkstones, and a rolled cake. When the food was served, they even put dry ice on it in the flowing river – it was even more ethereal! The tomato sauce area was too far , so we couldn’t give it to them . After visiting Xiahaoli, we could come over. There’s a cable car nearby that goes between the south and north stations . The south station is right next to Xiahaoli, so we could go there. The north side is the area around Hongyadong and our hotel, so we could see both. After we finished our ride, there was a souvenir shop while we waited for the cable car. We bought a lot of noodles ; the packaging was very pretty. Look, it’s a special type of pea and minced meat noodle, the packaging looks like a Japanese souvenir, only a few dollars. Then there was a coffee called Sichuan pepper latte. I’ll try it now. Actually, I saw that it has some Sichuan pepper flavored syrup added. I wonder what it’s like mixed with milk. It’s so interesting , it’s like eating spicy noodles this morning ! The Yangtze River Cableway was built in 1987 and was the earliest cross-river transportation option. The night view from there is really beautiful. There were so many tourists, everyone was standing around like a bunch of sardines. I forgot what I was thinking, something like it was really crowded. Finally, I got a picture of the car . How many people were there? 30 people! 30 people! Wow, so many people! But it was faster than I expected. It seemed like a long drive, but we arrived in just two or three minutes. It took more than two minutes to start the camera. The night view was quite beautiful. The night view was quite beautiful because it was cloudy today. I saw that on a sunny day, the view at dusk or in the morning is very beautiful , with blue skies and white clouds. We just happened to be in a queue today. Because it was cloudy, we took some more night view pictures. Some of the lights on the bridge were actually quite beautiful. I felt like going to a Hong Kong tourist attraction and taking a ferry ride . This trip to Chongqing didn’t have much good food, so I wasn’t very satisfied. We only had hot pot once, and it wasn’t very good. Most of the other shops were neighborhood noodle shops. Maybe I didn’t do enough research? I personally prefer Chengdu’s diverse and modern lifestyle. I ‘m somewhat interested in watching the previous episode about Chengdu’s ”
