Hi everyone, I’m Misi. This video isn’t part of the all-you-can-eat series 😁 Misi & Water are on a group tour to Southern Xinjiang. The first two minutes are super highlights. Southern Xinjiang boasts a rich cultural heritage and magnificent scenery. The Panlong Ancient Road is one of the most representative scenic wonders of Southern Xinjiang, winding like a giant dragon. The road is surrounded by vast, picturesque mountains and cotton fields stretching as far as the eye can see. The poplar forests, guardians of the desert, stand tall for thousands of years in the wind and sand . The rugged cliffs of the canyons are like cracks in the earth. Sunlight falls on the canyons, and the colors change with the light. The Kizil Thousand Buddha Caves offer peace and tranquility between the desert and the greenery. The West Night Mystery City (Xitiya Mystery City) Legendary mystery and vicissitudes seem to evoke the ancient Silk Road. White Sand Lake lies quietly between snow-capped mountains and sand dunes. Karakuri Lake’s waters are crystal clear. Golden Grassland Wetland lies at the foot of the snow-capped mountains, a golden carpet. Kashgar Old City bears the footprints of merchants for millennia. The Id Kah Mosque stands tall on both sides of the Gangou Canyon. Flocks of waterbirds fly over Bosten Lake. Coinciding with the birthdays of two group members, everyone celebrated together in 2025. Autumn in Southern Xinjiang: Exotic scenery, ancient Silk Road, Gangou Canyon , Bosten Lake cruise, sunset views, flocks of waterbirds flying, swaying reeds on the lakeshore, endless cotton fields shimmering with snowy white light, Southern Xinjiang specialty cuisine , Tarim River , Populus euphratica park , Populus euphratica forest—guardians of the desert, the boundless wilderness pulsating against the backdrop of blue sky and yellow sand, the popular scenic highway, Xiushui Lake —the breath of time, the echo of life, the mysterious Tianshan Grand Canyon—the canyon like a crack in the earth, the creation of time, the carved mountains are the marks left by time, making man seem insignificant while heaven and earth are infinite, Kizil Caves (Thousand Buddha Caves), I like Kitaro’s music, and I love the Thousand Buddha Caves. The Buddhist grottoes evoke endless imagination . While not part of the Dunhuang grottoes, the feeling here is different… Imagination is replaced by commercialization . Stepping into the museum, the Buddha statues are serene. There’s no hustle and bustle, only tranquil beauty. The 3D images moved me deeply. Birthday celebration at the end of the Duku Highway – Kuqa : Birthdays for group members Sister Ni and Sister Sun. Although there’s no time difference between Southern Xinjiang and Taiwan , the locals live a daily life two hours ahead of Taiwan. Meals are always rushed. Lunch: 2:00-3:00 PM. Dinner: 8:00-9:00 PM (making it impossible to photograph the daily group meals). This birthday meal was the most… With ease and grace, the lamb stew is incredibly delicious. The Wensu Grand Canyon, a testament to the earth ‘s fissures, the art of time, its grandeur and silent beauty, a glimpse into countless ages, a single step into a towering, majestic landscape, witnessing geological changes, carrying humanity’s exploration of the unknown. The bus stop’s hilariously absurd slogans , the dust echoing at the bottom of the valley —doesn’t it feel like being on another planet? The vast canyon showcases the power of life and the beauty of the earth. A day trip along the desert highway through the Taklamakan Desert, visiting Bakdun Village and the Walnut King, and the West Night Mystery City (Sitia Mystery City). The Xinjiang-Tibet Highway (0km ) feels a bit like Heishui City in Inner Mongolia, except for the commercial performances. It ‘s like stepping back in time to the Silk Road era, feeling the pulse of ancient civilization amidst the desolation. The Shache Royal Tombs are beautiful. (Note: This is a description of the actual royal tombs, so no photos will be taken. ) Shache Expo Park, Id Kah Mosque, Craftsmen’s Street (Wustangboyi – a thousand-year-old street), century-old teahouse, photography, specialty bags & scarves, various dried fruits, warm socks stalls – great for shopping! The precious childlike innocence, not afraid of the sweat bazaar, Baisha Lake scenery along the way, Baisha Lake is crowded, the scenery of Southern Xinjiang is desolate, lonely, mysterious, and magnificent. A short rest at the visitor center. On the way to Daxian, on the way to Pangu Road, the Panlong Ancient Road is the essence of the Southern Xinjiang journey. Starting to climb, both excited and afraid of altitude sickness. Man proposes, God disposes! The car developed altitude sickness, and so did I 😭 The car couldn’t move 😭 The vehicle and its occupants were stuck at an altitude of 3700-3800 meters for about 40-50 minutes. The magnificent Panlong Ancient Road, viewed from the ground, resembles a giant dragon lying in the mountains. Having traversed all the winding paths of the day, from now on, life will be smooth sailing. Feeling unwell and lacking energy, I took photos of the Stone City and the Golden Grassland Wetland . As the sky gradually brightened, the wetland transformed from dark to light, quietly flowing with vitality and tranquility . Karakul Lake, despite being a weekday, was still incredibly crowded. 😁 Camels: Don’t worry, this is my territory, I know it well! 🤣 I continued downhill on my own. Thousands upon thousands poured into the old city of Kashgar for the opening ceremony. Inside, there were unique shops that looked delicious, but the food had a strong muttony smell . The weathered mud-brick walls seemed to have stepped back in time. I bought quite a few wool shawls in the corridor. The old city is gradually becoming commercialized . We met at the city gate to go to the parking lot of the Kashgar Kunlun Pagoda. This wall, however, has its own unique characteristics. We drove around the outskirts of the old city. Kashgar’s local cuisine. I might have lost weight during these two weeks in southern Xinjiang. Misi is a bit sensitive to the taste of cumin, and she can’t handle spicy food either . Her stomach isn’t very good, and she easily gets stomach aches. Fortunately, there was a plate of scrambled eggs with tomatoes at every meal, so my older brother and I could enjoy our meals properly. Otherwise, we would have turned into white rice. The two of us headed to Zhengzhou. On the way, we visited Qinghai, Qilian Mountains , the Yangtze River, the Yellow River, the Lancang River, the Huangshui River, and Qinghai Lake . We returned to Taiwan. We arrived at Taoyuan International Airport in the fog . Our 13-day trip to southern Xinjiang came to an end with heavy rain. Water brings good fortune! 😉 Thank you for watching. See you! 💕
