The Puerto Princesa’s Most Untouched & Unseen Paradise
The water level !!wait a minute wait a minute sir the strength hey hey hey I’M GOING BACK because I can’t handle it boy when talking about Palawan normally it’s crowded with tourists that’s why to be different we will visit places that cameras rarely reach the highway ah more or less that’s what that straight portion is but we’re going to 4.3 KM we’re still beyond the highway let’s go in sir let’s go straight to 4.3 KM now after almost a few hours here right inside the underground river this is the very end. This is a dead end and there’s no more tunnel this is the very end. This is my first time opening this. Pearl. Okay. 1 2 3 go. Oh, there’s the meat. Hey, there’s a lot. Is it a lot? These are the ones we harvested . That’s why it will take about 10 to 15 minutes before you get them all. But our shell has maybe six more stuck inside. This is one of the things that will prove that even the province of Palawan itself is already known for its beautiful tourists, even though it is so difficult, even though it is so far away that it almost takes us two hundred miles to reach it , it is really worth it to visit. Are you excited? Because we will not only go to the very end of the Puerto Prinsesa Underground River, but we will also explore the things to do and visit here in Puerto Prinsesa. Good morning, guys, welcome back to our new motorcycle adventure. In the previous episode, I showed you how we returned from Metro Manila, we crossed here to the province of Palawan and ah, we visited Canon Piwk in Elnido. We went on a road trip until we arrived. San Vicente, Bato ni Ningning, Sanvic Viewpoint, Barangay Santo Niño, their very beautiful beach line. And we enjoyed the very long long beach of San Vicente, Palawan. Where this is the longest beach line in the entire Philippines. And this episode , we will start our motoring trip where we stayed and slept at the Country Bloom Garden here in Puerto Prinsesa City, Palawan. Hello sir, welcome to country bloom garden. We have a regular room here that is good for two packs and we also have a family room here that is good for 15 packs. What is the family room, it is 65, the regular room is PH5. We accommodate all occasion events like weddings, debuts, birthdays, seminars, team buildings, family gatherings. We accept walk-ins to take a bath, rent a cottage. There are also tents available. Our walk-in rate is 100 for adults. Then kids are 50 from 7 to 12 years old. Then six children are free. I am excited to explore here in Puerto Prinsesa City, Palawan. I have a lot to show and we have a lot to explore here in their province. And so we can start our happy return and adventure here in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, what are we waiting for? Let’s Oh. Sabang. Still part of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. There, it’s raining. It’s really raining. We still have one km left and we’re already at the jump of area. We’re a little late by 30 minutes in the conversation. Too bad we can’t fly those rock formations that you see behind us. Because we really need to get to the area. We’re not sure if we can go because you can see it’s raining. I just decided to continue the trip but we’re already here in 650 m . Hopefully the rain will subside later so I can fly the drone. There. Oh. Welcome to Sabang. Where is the area? We’ve already arrived. Oh. Oh, we’re in the most town proper here. W, we’re here . Oh, it looks like those people are on standby . Now we will know if it is possible or not. I hope it is possible. Long live! Welcome to Puerto Princesa Underground River located at Barangay Kabuyugan, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. Never mind, you are two classes. Our walk-in, sir, is from Puerto Princesa and can also be done here at our accommodations here. No problem here, sir, if you are coming from accommodations , no problem, it’s 10 pax per accommodation. No problem, just bring your ID, you will show it here at our registration and here you will pay the permit. But if you are coming from Puerto Princesa, it’s better for us to go through our main office at Puerto Princesa Underground River Office and there we will book so we can just bring the permit from there and we will go here. We still need our ID to present here for verification. For adults, it’s 735. That includes our entrance, environmental fee and our audio device. Our boat is separate from the 735. It costs Php2,100. That’s good for six people. That’s 350 per person. It doesn’t matter if it’s 2,100 for six. It doesn’t matter if it’s 45 minutes inside the cave. It doesn’t matter if it’s 1.2 km in 45 minutes. The audio device will explain the entire tour there. Because of you, sir, you availed the extended tour. The fee is 4,000 per session. You will also pay the environmental fee. It’s an audio device. It doesn’t matter if it’s 4,000 sir, you can go there with four of you. It doesn’t matter if it’s the boat ride to the extended tour. Four people can go. But if there’s only one of you, you’ll still pay 4,000. Sir, it will be 4.3 km for you to go inside the Underground River. You’ll reach the rock pile. You’ll also see the puzzles there. That will take three hours inside the cave. The only thing we can go to is 4.3 km. For our scientific explorations, they go up to 8.2 km. But usually, our extended tour that we offer to the public is only 4.3 km. And that’s the regular tour, the 1.2 km. After we get a special permit because entering the Underground River is not common. The ordinary underground river through is 1.2 km. We will extend it a few more kilometers. And since we already have a permit and we will pay for it at the registration itself, let’s get started. And since what we are going to do is an extended tour, it is not common because we will enter more than 4 kilometers down into the underground river itself. But we will take a boat first. It’s a good thing that the weather is with us because if we see that the waves are bad and strong, like in El Nido, the island tour or even the underground river tour here in Puerto Princesa City itself is canceled. Lawan. We are alone. This is exactly what we will do. And ah I am excited because we are going in. Let’s go in. We will go over 1.2 km. Hey After almost 15 minutes, we will be here in the area. We will just cross and we will transfer to a smaller boat. After we put on the safety hut, what is your name sir? Kuya Marlon . Kuya Marlon is the one who will be our boat and the tour guide inside. So usually since we are doing an extended tour, how many kilometers is the total? Ah 440 km. How many hours is that estimated to be? Ah more or less 4 hours . 4 hours. More or less. So as we enter, we are given a device that is connected to our ears. We hear an audio visual as we enter the main entrance. So we will be quiet for now. We will wait for our tour guide, Kuya Marlon, to speak . But for now, we are about to enter the main entrance of the Underground River. Hello sir, welcome to the princess underground river, sir, it’s more or less 45 minutes. Back and forth, more or less 45 minutes in 1.2 km, the stala tight, stalag mite, the column formation. We can see the virgin Mary there. We can see the holy family. As we enter the Underground River, ma’am sir, this is not allowed, no noise is allowed inside the cave so that our batches can be stored in inside and it is also forbidden to touch the rocks inside, the rock formations. It is absolutely forbidden to touch that. Brother Marlon, does anyone often explore down in the extended or rare? Ah at 4.3, sir. That is a special tour. We will inform the management so that you can enter 4.3 km. That is, sir, it is not always possible to enter 4.3 km. It just depends on who wants to go. And it also depends on the weather, sir. Within 4.3 km, there is a current. If the current is no longer strong, the management does not allow the current to flow, sir, but if the current is too strong but the weather is good, it is allowed to go to 4.3 km. After we pass 1.2 km, you will also see the rock formations from 1.2 km to 4.3 km. Stalag tight, Stalag mite, you can also see it there sir, yes, that’s the straightest portion of that, more or less, it’s about 200 m. So since this is our time, we’ll just lower our voice a little bit , but we’re going through the most extended tour of the Underground River. We should just lower our voice pitch a little bit. From 1.2 km, we’ll travel up to 4.3 km. These are the main ones. I’ll repeat to those who are also planning to experience what we’re doing because this part of the Underground River is no longer an ordinary route. But we’ll go up to 4.3 km. It’s just a rare thing that we’re putting in. It’s really wide. It’s just dark and our lights are lacking. But this is the highway. There’s a lot of falling water. We hear a lot about bats and it is rare that they enter the underground river itself and it is rare that we are in this very place, so a special permit is required because we will be going all the way to the very end. When you reach the end of 4.3 km, you will see something at the very end. That is all that visitors can reach. It is no longer allowed to go beyond that because the path is already narrow. Besides, the party does not allow entering the very end because it is already dangerous and of course, the place is already small. Only 4.3 is allowed to the public. According to experts, our underground river is more than 30 million years old. Because that, sir, is a very long time ago. Notice the beauty of the cave. How do the rock formations form? The growth of the rock formations inside is a slow process. And that cave is the home of bats. the cave eight different species of bats ບາຍ If we compare it to the first kilometer we went through, it’s really wide. So wide that I didn’t expect this to be the appearance of the extended one and I hope that through this you can at least see the inside of the underground river. Like that, it’s a bit dark and our light is lacking but the place we are in is very wide. There are many rock formations. Starlock tight. When the stalac tight is at the top then the stalag mite is at the bottom. There are many rock formations. Look at this. And when the stalac tight at the top and the stalag mite at the bottom match, that’s what’s called a column. And there are so many columns here. It’s a bit dark but that’s the same size. They match. And before the stalac tight and the stalagmite match, it will take millions of years. So just think about how old this Underground River is. เง เ After almost a few hours here right inside the Underground River, this is the very end. This is a dead end and there is no more tunnel. This is the very end because the only way left for you to explore the remaining 4 km because its total length is more than 8 km if I’m not mistaken, you will be swimming in the narrow tunnel. One of the unique signs that we saw here at the very end of the Underground River of Puerto Prinsesa City, Palawan is the markings Apo. Apo there is something down there 9 ah June 23 9 ah right June 23 1930 that’s all 1930s for those who can watch this if you have any idea what that is Is that a person, an organization, or is this one of the first cave explorers here in the Underground River itself, there are two of them, then there is water here that collapsed. It’s gone. The light can’t get in anymore. And so that you know how dark it is inside, I’ll turn off our lights so that you can experience it too and I can experience the pitch black inside the Underground River. I’ll turn it off. This is it. The darkness is terrible. This is the color when there is no light inside the underground river. Our video is not fooling you. I’m just letting you experience that it’s very dark here. This is the true color of the Underground River. Very dark. I’ll repeat, this is the limit and the very end because it’s dead. This is. My only way for you to explore the 4. plus kilometers. Well, if you are a scientist and have a special permit that is more special than the permit we took because you are going to swim in a very small and narrow place and there is nothing else you can do here and we have reached the very end. If you ask me, you need to explore the very end because the highway we are going through from there, which is about 1.2 to 2 km, is really wide and the cave is so big that it is like being in a big tunnel. After I show you the very end of the Underground River where the boat only goes down and the special permit that they call it because 1.2 This is all that is allowed for tourists as a usual underground tour. But what we did was a rather special permit that is why we reached 4.3. You saw that. And because we are now also in Sitio Sabang and the ones we did not show earlier because it was raining, we will pass through. I will give you a little idea of what their roads look like here. Ah, it’s like that, it’s just two lanes. One going and one coming back. It’s paved so you don’t have to worry. Our race is all smooth. Then there’s a rock formation ahead that I’ll show you that I couldn’t stop because it was raining hard earlier. You can see it better here. The view is amazing. Look at it, I’ll come back. No, I can’t not come back. The view is amazing, boy. Even though there’s a yard, I’ll just show you quickly. Oh, look at that. See that? Boom! Those rock formations are amazing. I don’t know if you can appreciate that, but since I’ve explored the entire Philippines, I’m already drawn to those. Limestone show, covered in trees . There’s also an overlooking one here. Let’s stop. After all, people are here too. There are tourists stopping by. Is there anything else? Okay, let’s go. What’s its name? Celeo. Cleopatra neededle. Ah, there you go. Mount Cleopatras Needle We just passed by this very place because many tourists, locals and foreigners stop by. And this is what is called Mount Cleopatra Needle. It has a sign here. Let’s read it. Cleopatras needle is considered one of the mystical mountains of Palawan. The name came from the oblis like rock structure that is found in its peak. So it is said to be one of the mystical mountains that can be seen here in the area. And there, this very mountain you will pass when you are going to the Underground River where we are from, which is one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites. And not only that because this is one of the famous attractions in the entire province of Palawan. This is the very place where we are standing and another one is also located here at the very summit of Mount Cleopatras Needle, you can see the shore of Honda Bay. the Solo on the East Side and down by the West Philippines Sea on the West Side and the perfect panoramic view of the city proper we can’t go up anymore just stop because it’s so beautiful in person I don’t know if the drone shots we use with the camera will justify this open view. We caught someone here taking pictures and ah climbing up That coconut tree itself. And if you pass by it, stop because this place we call Mount Cleopatra’s Needle is worth a selfie. We drove a little bit from there to Mount Cleopatra. We motored for about 30 minutes. On our way back to Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. We know that the Philippines is called the Pearl of the East. But here in Palawan or Puerto Princesa City , I can show you something that will interest you. We’ll be here soon. It’s about to rain. We’ll be at Earl Jewelry and Shop. Let’s show you. Hello, welcome to Earl’s Jewelry and Souvenirs. We are from Palawan, Puerto Princesa and we are what we are, harvesting pearls. Earles Jewelry was started last April 2013. So, I’m a teacher by profession. What I really became, I became interested in jewelry. Now my problem when it comes to jewelry is that I have a bit of allergies and then I was on a tight budget when I discovered this cultured pearl. So with cultured pearls it’s fun because um when you wear pearls you don’t have allergies. So that’s the one that fits my skin. We have south sea pearls and fresh water pearls. Mostly what we harvest is fresh water pearls. This is the one that’s out on display. That’s fresh water pearls. And the ones on our shelves that you saw a while ago, those are South Sea Pearls. The South Sea Pearls are just one pearl inside an oyster. A clam is just one piece and it’s cultured for 5 years. That’s how long it takes. That’s why the South Sea Pearls are a bit pricey compared to fresh water pearls. Our fresh water pearls are around 30 plus in size. 22 up to 34 in size in an oyster. The fresh water depends on how long you grow them. But mostly what we harvest here is around 2 years old. 2 years after 3 years. It’s been that long. How can you distinguish or distinguish a fake? So we have three steps regarding that. The easiest thing is to do a scratch test. When you scratch an authentic pearl, it powders up. Aha. It will release powder. And number two, when you rub it on your teeth, that’s the most common way to rub it on your teeth. How is it, it scratches, it scratches on your teeth. It’s like that. If it’s fake, it just slides. And number three is a fire test. So when you do a fire test, it’s easy for the plastic or fake to burn. The real pearl doesn’t absorb heat or it’s really cold, so it doesn’t seem to feel the heat much. The real pearl has a different shape. No two pearls are alike. When you see your pearl that’s solid, it’s just one shape or one color, there’s no difference right away. It’s unique. Its shape seems to be really different. You can identify them just by looking at them without testing them, you’ll know right away if they’re different. They’re authentic right away. So you probably heard from Ma’am Earl about the difference between Fresh and South Sea Pearl. But the main activity that really stands out here in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. And the trick I’m talking about is that we’ll open ah ah oyer. So we have a game here, sir. This is what we go to in our shop. Our game is because we’re not just selling product, we’re selling experience. Or we’re selling excitement. And to have that, this is one of our games. When you get 34 or 35 pieces, you get one of these for free. Is that it? Yes. Or you only pay for one but you still get one for free. When you get 35. Back then, we only started with 30. We gave away 30. So it went up and up and up. This is it. This is really it. It really has content. Yes. Or because its contents are 22 to 34. The highest is 34. This one only contains four. They are different. This is Baroque and this is what rounds. Who would have thought that here in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan there would be this kind of activity or activities where when it exceeds 34, the pearl inside this Shell or clam has an additional one. One. Is this one filled, ma’am Per? Yes all. Yes. And because we just don’t know how many are in it. Oh no really. You have no idea? I don’t have any idea. So to have some excitement and it’s all alone in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, what else are we going to do? Let’s open this. Boss. It’s like this. We have a hint. Okay. Our hint is number one, dark. Dark. Yes. Okay. Number two, fat. Dark. Fat. Number three, there’s a shake. There’s a shake. Can’t you relate? We won’t say anymore. Hey and never mind. Okay. There are just signs that Ma’am Earth gives. Yes. Dark. That’s why we do it because every time we harvest, we check what the good stuff is. It’s not guaranteed. Yes. But that’s usually where we harvest the big ones. Yes. There. Just stir it. You know if something shakes, there’s something, there’s a lot of stuff. Up and down. It’s like this. Yeah. Up and down. Yes. Dark, fat and has a lump. It’s lumpy. So we’re not going to swallow. No. Okay. At least confirm. Yes. So we’ve chosen something. So let’s. Will I open it too? Yes. I’ll definitely let you experience it. You need to cut it here so that Yes. There. To have an insert. All right. Okay. Okay. There’s a hole there. So since there’s a hole, insert it. Mm. You need to cut down. There. That. Cut it down. Hey. Okay. Yeah. All right. Straight. That’s a bit tough. You need strength. Ah. It’s tough. Yes, tough. I thought at first it was just a display but the ones here at this very moment are the ones you’re going to open. Yes. Okay. It seems okay. Now let’s turn around. There. Okay. Oh, you really have this kind of activity, right? People who come here say it’s very educational. This is my first time opening this pearl and we don’t know how many pieces are inside it. When I give up, sir. There it is . It is. It is. This is it. Yes. That is it. Okay. Let’s open it. Oh. Okay. That is it. There it is. Actually that’s medium size. Average average size. Average size. Yes. Okay. 1 2 3 go. Oh there is the contents. Hey, there is a lot. How many. I hope we can last a long time. I hope we can have many. Wow! Okay. There oh, it’s coming out. So, this is it. We have opened it. There. I’m a little excited because there is a lot of contents in the fresh water pearl itself. There is a lot. We will count it later. But this is what it looks like. So it’s not over yet, ma’am, when we open it, what else will you remove ? Okay. Hey, there is an Oh, lift it up. Lift it up and go. This is it oh. Oh wow there is something stuck on it. Three. Three. It’s different every time someone harvests, like mine, three are also big, right? So it’s a little smaller now. Okay. Put your harvest here. One looks like it’s going to be tough. Wow. You know what we like best is perfect round. This one is semi round. Okay. Hey wow, it’s annoying. Look at the quality. Look at it. Look at what we got. Yes, right ? Third. And the male. Three. It’s mostly white. That’s what you got. Yes. Lots and lots. So it hasn’t been opened since. No, it’s not his protection against any irritant that gets in. If an irritant gets in there, what he does is he spits it out with his kncker. And then after several years, it turns into a pearl. And that’s what we’re harvesting now. This is 2 years old. It’s 2 years old. Then it’ll be harvested in just a few minutes. Yes. Yes. We have seven more. Yes. There really are a lot. Different sizes. Different sizes. Different colors too. So you have white . There are more. There are more. Stop this? 10. So we’ll remove this again because there are more here. There oh. Yes. There are a lot of them. Okay. So these ones like this, ma’am, that are left stuck, what’s the matter? Yes. They are better not to remove. Oh, they are your souvenirs, that’s what you really harvested an authentic pearl. Or because there are these ones like this, sir , really, what can we do, not unless they are made by nature. This is art of nature. Look at this oh. There are so many. Let’s remove them one by one. Okay. There it is. Hey there is one. There it is, it still has skin. What is this? I feel like stress, like a child there. Yes. There is still stress here. Keep going. Yes. Isn’t it nice? It’s nice to play. While we remove each pearl one by one. Mm. What do I feel like? It’s like stress, relief. It’s like you’re becoming a child because you’re going to remove them one by one. Yes. This. What color did you get? White, light, purple, and cream. I think this is the biggest one. Wow. I got some. So it looks okay. These are the ones we harvested. That’s why it will take about 10 to 15 minutes before you get them all. But the shell we have has maybe six more stuck inside. Six more. But we won’t remove them here. Let’s focus and count them. Let’s start with six because you have a harvest of six. Okay, that’s it. Okay. So you start with six. Or seven. 8 8 11 14 14 18 19 20 So this is 21. Yes, 20 plus 20 plus but it seems like we’re going to be over 30. Yes, it really seems like it’s over, it seems like it’s over, how are you doing? 23 24 24 okay 25 26 27 28 29 It’s over 30 because this is also the 30th 31 okay and this is the 31st at least somehow we’re over 30 because there are activities like this in Puerto Princesa and we got 31 pieces. I didn’t expect that after finishing the pearl collection right here in Earl, it would be done in 30 minutes and they have production here. So after harvesting, it would be a jewelry set that they would make here. They have accessories. They can be made into bracelets, quintas, earrings and many others. So you also need to try this because from harvesting it will become a finished product. That’s it. Your jewelry is finished. Or not? From pearl harvest into finished products. This is the one I want to wear right here at Earl’s Jewelry. Everything is suitable for riders like you. Now if you want to experience what comes from harvesting pearls and becoming a finished product, actually these are not the only products they have. You have a lot of choices of pearls and South Sea Pearls here at Earl’s. You also need to experience it. You see, the one we opened has become a finished product. After I show you that there is a pearl opening activity here in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, let’s go on a food trip to Earl’s . We haven’t eaten yet. And since we are here in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, we have learned something. They have food here that is really proud of their place. We are here. Let’s just find it. And this is it, the chiefs. We are here. Because when we are here in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, they say we should eat chiaulong. That’s why we are here in Renesegon. Let’s go eat. Hello. Ah this is Rene Saon. Rene Saon is harking back to our maraland. That’s uh Vietnam. Rene Seigon is Rene is my older brother. And then the legacy. Of course this Ren Sagon is my mother’s legacy. We came here in 1975, when my mother started selling Vietnamese food while we were still in Mandaluyong, no, when we first arrived in the Philippines in 1975, once there was a Vietnamese refugee camp here, my mother started working for a Vietnamese restaurant in the side camp, the Vietnamese we called the noodle soup, rice noodle, very silky smooth rice noodles with soup base. Now the chal in Vietnamese term it’s rice for which means porridge. Now there was a miss like a mistranslation since Vietnamese refugees time. The Vietnamese there who used to sell chow yung yung yung porridge. Then when it was sold to the Filipinos here, the Filipinos used to look for FA because during the Vinamis R chica era there were a lot of F in Sobenta when they searched for it when the foul he sold his porridge but he said chun there was a mistranslation Since we are here, we are a little hungry from our trip from there to Earl, this is what is called Faho. Palawan people are used to calling it Chiaong but originally it is really called fa, this is Php380 because it is our first time to eat it, this is my first time to eat chowong or fa, this is the first bite for you. Let’s try this noodles first. This is the first bite for you. Mm. It’s fun because we have been traveling, we have discovered many places. We have discovered many foods. And here in Puerto, we found some here near Renesa Gunafa or better known as Chulong. I can taste the star anise. It is a little sweet and I don’t know what they call these noodles. Ah, it looks like there are bean sprouts here. And the surprising thing here is the mint-like leaves that you see, they are planted and they just take them from their own backyard. So if this is what they serve, it’s just there, it’s taken, it grows and grows. Mm. M T your noodles. Oh. This is my first time, guys. And the fao in Renesegon is delicious, especially the beef. There you go. You see, it costs only Php300. That’s a whole bowl. You’ll be full here. This is awesome. Oh, you have to taste it because if you behave in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, you have to taste this fa of Renesigon. That’s it. Let’s eat. Oh. After I show you where there are activities, where you will open the pearl yourself at Earl Jewel and Souvenirs. and after we eat fa or better known as churong here in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, we will go to our next destination. Maybe we will drive about 20 to 30 minutes from PPC and we will go somewhere. It seems like we are already on the left here. We’ll turn left here at Riverside. This will be the landmark. Then it’s probably about 2 to 3 km before we reach the jump off point. You heard right because what we’re going to is not just a place because we have to walk it or we have a hike to do. What we’re going to pass through, that’s what we don’t know yet. We’re just getting there so you’ll have to wait and see what the status of the road will be. Oh, the road has been cut off, boy. That’s all the cement and offroad. The roads we’re going through are rocky, so you can have an idea of what the road looks like or what status the road we’re going to pass through here is. Ah, this is just near here. Let’s go to the unnamed one. But this is where we’re going to jump off. There’s a hut or something. So, we’re going to park here and we don’t know how long it will take us to climb. And so we can have an idea and so you can know what we’re going to do here, come on, join me. Now when we arrived here at Barangay Bakungan, we changed our slippers because we were told we would encounter something. So you need to be prepared and you need to know where we are going. But before we start our episode, we have some friends here in Puerto Prinsesa City and one is Sir. Hello, I’m Chris. Hello. I’m Palawi Wiinya Visda. Hello. Hello. Hello bashers. In I’m Basher. Hello, I’m CK by the way. Yo Gareno. And since we are ready for our adventure, are you ready? Yes. Let’s start. Let’s go. Now we haven’t even gone a few hundred meters, I already feel like an adventure because we are going to cross the river. It’s a good thing we changed our shoes and put on sandals because the water is quite deep. It looks like we have to cross it. Because if you don’t take off your shoes, the current will definitely wash you away. We need to raise our things because it’s really bad. That’s up to our waists so you can get an idea. We’re 56. That’s it, we’re already wet. At least it’s warm. We didn’t go fishing, we’re already wet. Or we’re already on the other bank. We haven’t even walked for 30 minutes. What we’re going through is flat. The only thing is that the rock blocks are big. There we are already climbing. It’s been about two or three hours depending on our pace. Only one hour since we started. Wow, it looks like we’re going to have a challenge here because we have to cross the river but the river looks high and the current is strong. The water flow is quite strong and we need to take it slow. I have no idea. I have no idea if it’s serious. We’re going to cross. We need to secure it. The current is strong. We need to take it slow because we can’t make a mistake. We have cameras with us. Right now, the water level we’re going through is. Oh, this is slippery, boy. Okay. What’s so slippery? The slippery, boy. I’ve stocked up here. Slippery. Where’s not slippery? This is serious. Op op op. Wait. Mossy mossy. It looks like I need to take off my slippers. I’m going back because I can’t handle it, boy. The rocks are slippery. We need to, we need a sure ball. It’s a really strong point. And since we’re only wearing sandals, we’re in the safe zone, we need to just keep our feet on the ground. We have no choice , guys. Rather than being slippery, we need to fight. That’s it. It’s okay. We have a training. This is the situation. It’s terrible. Woh! But at least I’m more confident now. What are we going through? It’s high, boy. Wait a minute, it’s terrible. Wait a minute, sir. The strength. Hey, hey, ah. This is the situation. It won’t be easy to get across because there’s moss. This is terrible, boy. Hey, I’m slipping. It’s secure, sir. This is what I’m really hesitating about. That’s it. because I’m thinking about the drone. So at least we can play. Maybe we’ll fall. That’s what I ‘m really thinking about. This is a really strange adventure. And I hope the current stays like this because the river is really strong. This is probably one of the challenging parts of the route we’re going to. It’s not obvious on the camera but the water flow is slippery and strong. Ma’am, how’s the water? I thought it would be easy to cross at first but I had a hard time because it was really slippery so I was really careful. We haven’t gotten far from the second river yet. We’re already passing through this part of the route where we can see a lot of picture plans. This is my first time seeing wildlife picture plans. Look . There’s a lot of them. From there to there. The picture plants that we see are one after another . Look at this, there’s a lot of them. It’s just in the wildlife. We’re already passing through this part of the river. But this is only at the mouth. There’s a river. There’s a lot of things we’re passing through here, fallen trees. Or because this is one of the effects of the successive rains and the past storms. And we also need to hurry a little because it’s getting dark. We need to get there before it rains. I don’t know if our camera will justify it but look at the bottom of the hill, we’re just at the bottom of our destination. Just wait. Slippery. Look where we’re going. Or just the bottom of the polls. It’s only a few minutes away from where the water is falling. Or finally, after about two and a half hours , or what you call tibagfita, we went through. It took us about two and a half hours. We went through the river crossings. The second river crossing, where the water was almost strong. We went through the slippery, muddy ones. until we reached our destination, which is called tibag falls. These were called tbag falls during the time of my ancestors, grandfathers, fathers, the elders here, they called tibage. as there it seems like they are cleaning up the mess Those who go there because there is a pool at a high height that is big because there are many rocks that are big enough to be broken down that roll down because the ground is so soft that they named it Tibag Now I realize why it is called Tibag fools because according to the locals, it is probably noticeable that there are so many pieces of rock that seem to have been broken down from the mountain. At least we had a chance. Wasn’t it easy for us to get here? It would have taken us almost three hours and luckily the weather was on our side. If you are going here, you really need to go with someone because only a few people know where we are. Just at the woman’s place, there are already flowing waters flowing into the river itself. And at the end of it, this is a hidden paradise that we found here in Puerto Princesa City. Who would have thought that there are more hidden paradises like this here in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan? I don’t know if there is an entrance here or if there is one or if it is already visited because it is almost in the heart of the forest. But it is worth our hardship. If you also want to visit the Tibag Falls where we are located, you need to bring water and if you bring food, make sure you take the garbage you bring back to where you came from because the waterfalls where we are located are still almost raw and virgin. I haven’t seen any cottages yet. Almost the trail we went through is just wide enough for people to pass through. But the beauty of it is that when you come here, you don’t want to get bored because the water falling is unlimited, coming from the top of the mountain and passing through the falls and not there because down below, the water or waterfalls themselves are connected to the rivers of our area. This is one of the things that will prove that even this very province of Palawan is already known for its beautiful tourist spots, but there are still many underrated tourist destinations. Like this Tibag Falls, which is so difficult, so far away that it almost takes us to get there and we will have a hard time, but it is so worth it to go. I won’t be surprised if one day it will be visited by many tourists who love adventures like this, with river crossings, tracking, and you will pass through muddy and rocky places. But for travelers like us , this is really our goal to show the hidden paradises, especially since we are here in Puerto Princesa. Ah. I hope you enjoyed the trip we made from Sabang to the Underground River, going to Mount Cleopatra, opening fresh water pearls, eating fao shaong until we reached this so-called Tibag Falls and If you love these kinds of travel adventures, maybe I can ask for one from you. It would be a great help if you subscribe to our little channel and so that you can always be updated when I post these kinds of travel adventures on our YouTube. And it doesn’t end here. We are only in Puerto Princesa and we still have many more places to visit, faraway places and hidden paradises here in the Philippines.
