Hello! This is Matcha_Japan. We’ve arrived at Tokyo Solamachi! This shopping mall, located next to Tokyo Skytree, offers a wide selection of uniquely Japanese souvenirs, including character goods. It’s a highlight of any trip to Japan, blending traditional “shitamachi” culture with the latest Tokyo trends! Please read to the end. Let’s go! Tokyo Solamachi is a massive shopping and entertainment complex located at the base of the world’s tallest tower, Tokyo Skytree. Directly connected to Tokyo Skytree Station on the Tobu Skytree Line and Oshiage (Skytree-mae) Station on the Tokyo Metro, it’s the perfect base for sightseeing in Tokyo. It’s about 25 minutes from Tokyo Station and about 3 minutes from Asakusa. There are over 300 diverse shops and restaurants offering a wide variety of fashion, miscellaneous goods, and gourmet food, showcasing both modern and traditional Japan. Let’s start by looking at the popular areas! This is the 4th floor. Kirby’s Cafe The Store offers lunch boxes, new jarred candy 🍬 forks and spoons mugs tote bags shoulder bags and takeout menus Kirby-faced Pao is on sale from October 8th. The drinks are also cute! 😍 There’s also a Pokémon Center. They’re running a campaign for “Pokémon Legends ZA,” which was released on October 16th. Chikorita. TOWER KNIVES TOKYO: A knife specialty store selling traditional knives. Japanese knives are popular. There’s also a salt specialty store. Original Food Sample Shop A food sample store. Sushi magnets 🍣 look so real. DIY kits are also available. Sample-making experiences are also available. A shop selling Sengoku period-themed goods. They offer a wide selection of T-shirts, towels, sword umbrellas, stationery, straps, and sweets. SAMURAI UMBRELLA: An umbrella shaped like a sword, how interesting! A shop selling Japanese embroidered patches. The Attack on Titan poster is cool. Out of stock. Chiikawa Land A pop-up store. Advance reservations are required for Chiikawa Land. We’re on the third floor. This is the fashion and merchandise floor. Loft is a lifestyle goods store. DIESEL Onitsuka Tiger They offer shoes, apparel, bags, and more. CITEN is a United Arrows affiliate. Their eco-bags and tote bags are popular. UNIQLO Disney Store Air Bic Camera They also have one at Haneda Airport. Darth Vader in a place like this! A Star Wars pop-up store. The Japanese design is great. It was open until October 29th. A Japanese-style handmade dollhouse kit. A crane game decorated with a Tobu Railway steam locomotive. A food court. Approximately 11 restaurants offering a variety of cuisines, including Japanese, Western, Chinese, and ethnic. Popular restaurants include Hakata Ippudo (ramen), Tsukiji Kaisen Tojo (seafood bowls), Miyatake Sanuki Udon, JASMINE THAI Express (Thai cuisine), and Ebisu Yakiniku Champion. Solamachi also has an aquarium. Look up at Tokyo Skytree. It’s 634 meters tall! The Skytree observation deck is open from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm. Oktoberfest was held in the square. 🍺 A Christmas market was held from November 6th to December 25th. 🎄 Please watch our previous video of last year’s Christmas market. There were many shops and it was very lively. This is Kirby Cafe. To reduce crowding, reservations are required. We recommend making reservations through the official Kirby Cafe reservation site. Takeout is also available . This is Solamachi Dining on the 6th floor. This restaurant floor features a variety of dining establishments across different genres. Starbucks . Tonkatsu SABOTEN Indian Cuisine, AMARA Chinese Soba, Ginza TENRYU Hitsumabushi, Nagoya BINCHO Soba SHODAI Okonomiyaki MITCHAN Main Branch are also popular. On the left is Gyutan RIKYU. Have tea at THE MATCHA TOKYO. This is a cafe where you can enjoy drinks and food made with high-quality 100% organic matcha 🍵 They also have cafes in Shibuya and Shinjuku. They also sell matcha and tea utensils. Matcha Set 🍵 They make tea right in front of you. Matcha Latte 🍵 Matcha Soft Serve Ice Cream 🍦 The rich matcha and milk go together really well and are delicious. Matcha Dorayaki The dough is infused with matcha and filled with plenty of red bean paste. The fluffy dough complements the subtly sweet bean paste perfectly. ☺️ This is Solamachi Shopping Street. It recreates a downtown shopping street. You can try goldfish scooping at the shop on the left. We arrived at Solamachi Plaza. Skytree is also clearly visible from here. Return to Solamachi Shopping Street and exit to the other side. There’s a gyoza and ramen shop. A character shop. Takoyaki KUKURU Anpanman Kids Collection A miso soup specialty store with its main store in Asakusa. Horiuchi Fruit Farm. From here, go up to the second floor. Ghibli-filled Acorn Republic A big Catbus 🐈 The interior of the store has a Ghibli forest-like atmosphere. Totoro is taking a nap. There are also many Kiki’s Delivery Service merchandise.
