Tsukiji and Toyosu:
The Places to Avoid and the Ones You Must Visit! Hi! I’m Samurai Junjiro! Hi! I’m Akanemaru! Today, we’ll dive into Tsukiji and Toyosu,
two of Japan’s most famous market areas. As someone who grew up in Japan, I’ll share which shops you should avoid
and which ones are truly worth your time. If you don’t know this, you might end up wasting money
and missing out on the real experience. So let’s start with five chapters on the types of shops
you should avoid. Chapter one: Tourist-Only Oriented Restaurants In Tsukiji and Toyosu,
there are many shops designed specifically to target tourists. These places often stand out with large English signs
and advertisements aimed at foreigners. At first, this may seem convenient and welcoming, but in reality, these shops
often don’t have the best reputation among locals. This is because many rely more on their location or atmosphere rather than the actual taste
or freshness of their food. While tourist-only oriented shops may seem convenient, they can ultimately lead to wasted money
and a less authentic experience. Chapter two: Low-Rated or Poorly Reviewed Restaurants When choosing a restaurant in Tsukiji or Toyosu,
customer reviews are one of the most important indicators. Be cautious of places with a rating below 3 stars on Tabelog
or Google Reviews, or those with very few reviews. A low rating usually means that past customers were
dissatisfied with the taste, freshness, or service. Similarly, if there are very few reviews, there isn’t enough reliable information to judge
the place properly. For example, if a restaurant has only a few photos,
and the dishes don’t even look appealing, it’s best to avoid it. There are cases where the restaurant charges “tourist prices”
but serves food that is below average in quality. On the other hand, a restaurant with many positive reviews
is usually trusted not only by tourists but also by locals. To avoid making a bad choice during your trip,
always check the online ratings beforehand. Ignoring reviews could ruin what should be a wonderful
dining experience in Tsukiji or Toyosu. Chapter three: Pushy Staff and Aggressive Solicitation When walking around Tsukiji or Toyosu,
you may encounter staff who aggressively call out to you. It’s not uncommon to hear phrases
like “Special price only now!” or “Limited menu!” aimed at pulling tourists in. While it may sound like a bargain,
you might end up being pushed into an overpriced set menu. Be cautious if someone keeps handing you menus
outside the shop or insists repeatedly even after you decline. These kinds of shops often rely on aggressive sales
tactics rather than good food or quality service. In contrast, truly reputable restaurants don’t need to shout
or pressure people customers come naturally. If you feel the solicitation is too pushy,
it’s wise to politely decline and look for another place. To enjoy your meal with peace of mind, choose restaurants that maintain a calm
and welcoming atmosphere. Chapter four: Restaurants Without Clear Pricing One of the biggest red flags in Tsukiji or Toyosu is a restaurant
where prices are not clearly listed on the menu. Some shops display only “market price” and then charge tourists much higher amounts
once the food is ordered. This is especially true for seafood bowls or sushi, where similar dishes can cost double
or more depending on the shop. If you enter without knowing the price,
you may end up regretting how expensive the bill turns out to be. On the other hand, restaurants that clearly show prices
for each item are usually more trustworthy and fair to tourists. Always check the menu before ordering,
and don’t hesitate to ask if the prices are unclear. Remembering that “no prices = suspicious”
will help you avoid unnecessary expenses. To enjoy your meal with peace of mind,
always choose restaurants with transparent pricing. Chapter five: Shops Displaying Seafood Late in the Day When enjoying seafood in Tsukiji or Toyosu,
the best time is generally in the morning until around noon. This is because the seafood is delivered in the morning
and served fresh right after. However, some shops continue to display seafood
outside even late into the afternoon. These places may be serving items
that have already lost freshness, leaving tourists disappointed with the quality. With sushi or sashimi, even a slight drop in freshness
can greatly affect both taste and safety. Even if it looks appealing, the taste may leave you thinking,
“This isn’t what I expected.” Trustworthy shops usually sell out by noon
or keep items properly refrigerated before serving. As a tourist, simply remembering to avoid shops
that display seafood late in the day will help you stay safe. To truly enjoy Tsukiji or Toyosu,
the best tip is to go early in the morning. Now, let’s move on to the must-visit shops in Tsukiji
and Toyosu that we highly recommend. We’ll cover not only the famous street food spots
with fresh seafood but also restaurants where you can enjoy all-you-can-eat options. In addition, we’ll also introduce popular hotels nearby
that make your stay more convenient and enjoyable. Let’s start with the Toyosu area. First up is Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai. If you’re coming from Tokyo Station,
take the Yamanote Line and get off at Shimbashi Station. It takes about 27 minutes by Yurikamome line
from Shimbashi Station to Shijomae Station. Senkyaku Banrai is located a one-minute walk
from the station and is directly accessible. It opened in February 2024 as a commercial facility
where you can enjoy food. At first, it was said to be a tourist trap with high food prices, but now it offers plenty of affordable options
and is bustling with many people. Many Japanese also visit because there are many foods
at more affordable prices than at Tsukiji. Now, we’ll introduce 7 shops perfect for street food
located on the 2nd floor. First up is Marutake. It’s a specialty shop for Tamagoyaki, a Japanese-style omelet. Be sure to try their most popular freshly cooked Tamagoyaki. It contains Japanese-style dashi broth,
so it has a pleasant aroma. You can taste a subtle sweetness and rich flavor of egg. It has a fluffy texture that is addictive. Next up is Souma-suisan. It’s a specialty shop for tuna dishes. The top recommendation is the medium-fatty tuna sashimi
on skewers. The sashimi is thick but tender, melting in your mouth. It’s great to enjoy fresh tuna casually. Next is Daikokuten. It’s a specialty shop for meat dishes. There are various dishes,
but the most popular one is Menchi-Katsu. It’s freshly fried, so it’s piping hot and crispy. The ground meat inside is a blend of Wagyu
and premium pork, making it juicy. It has some fat, but it’s not too greasy, and it’s very tasty. Next is Gindaco, a specialty shop for takoyaki. It’s also recommended to get takoyaki to go,
but this time we’ll introduce the menu from the dining area. It’s topped with sea urchin, salmon roe,
and yam on the takoyaki. It’s an exclusive menu item at Senkyaku Banrai. The salty flavor of the salmon roe
and the rich taste of the sea urchin go well with takoyaki. It’s delicious as it is,
but pouring dashi broth is also recommended. The broth soaks into the takoyaki,
enhancing its sweetness. It’s just the right amount, perfect for a food tour. Next is Hamakaze-Sabo. It’s a specialty shop for matcha sweets. The soft-serve ice cream is popular,
but the Mont Blanc is also recommended. They make it right in front of you after you order,
so you can take videos. Finally, sprinkle on some matcha powder, and it’s ready! The matcha paste is made with Yamecha tea leaves,
which makes it rich and flavorful. Underneath the matcha paste, there is matcha pudding. It has a subtle bitterness but is also sweet,
making it easy to eat. Next is Meigetsugawa. It’s an eel specialty restaurant bustling with many people. They grill Japanese eel over charcoal at this restaurant,
so you can enjoy authentic eel dishes. One particularly recommended item is the eel bento box. Let’s pour plenty of sauce over it before eating. The savory aroma of grilled eel over charcoal
and the sweet sauce stimulates your appetite. The eel is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It’s rich in fat and melts in your mouth. It’s a luxurious bento box! Next, we’ll introduce 2 spots in the food court on the 3rd floor. The first is Tokyo Niku-sushi. We chose a dish that includes both seafood and meat sushi. It has 2 types of meat sushi and 6 types of sushi,
and the price is affordable. It’s great that it comes with miso soup. The shrimp is large and has a nice plump texture. The gizzard shad has a vinegar flavor, making it refreshing. The tamagoyaki has a subtle sweetness from the dashi. The squid sushi, which also includes shiso leaves,
has a refreshing taste. The tuna is rich in flavor. The beef is moist and tender. The seared beef melts in your mouth. This sushi set is luxurious! Next up is Maruri-suisan. We chose their most popular seafood bowl. It’s generously topped with salmon roe,
tuna, salmon, squid, and yellowtail. This seafood bowl also comes with miso soup. The seafood is seasoned with soy sauce and other flavors,
giving it a good balance of salty and sweet tastes. The rice is seasoned with red vinegar,
which adds a pleasant aroma. The portion of rice is a bit small,
so it might not be enough for big eaters, but it’s delicious, so it’s worth a try! The last place we’ll introduce at Senkyaku Banrai
is Seafood Buffet Iroha. You can enjoy all-you-can-eat over 50 varieties of dishes
including seafood and meat in buffet style. They cook it right in front of you,
so you can enjoy freshly made dishes. The most popular item is the snow crab. It’s great that the crab is also all-you-can-eat. The flavor of the crab spreads in your mouth. Next up is sashimi. The varieties change depending on the day, but when we went,
there were 8 types available. There are many types available, including sea bream,
bonito, yellowtail, and salmon. The tuna marinated with soy sauce
has a rich flavor with subtle sweetness of mirin. The medium fatty tuna is fatty and melts in your mouth. Next, we’ll introduce 3 fried foods. It’s a crab cream croquette, a fried oyster, and a tuna cutlet. The crab cream croquette is filled with plenty of crab
and is creamy. The tuna is thick and juicy like meat. The oyster is large and satisfying to eat. Next, we’ll introduce 4 types of grilled dishes
including meat and seafood. There are chicken, mackerel, shrimp, and scallop. The chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The mackerel is fatty. The scallop is delicious with the addition of the sweetness
of butter. The shrimp has a plump texture and it’s addictive. There is also soup curry with shrimp and vegetables. It has a mild spiciness, and you can taste the richness
of the seafood along with the sweetness of the vegetables. Next, we’ll introduce 3 dishes. This tuna is simmered in soy sauce,
so it has a pleasant aroma. The chicken seasoned with sweet vinegar is tender and juicy. This grilled fish has a refreshing lemon flavor. There is also seafood pizza. It’s a luxurious one topped with crab, squid, and scallops. Next up is ramen. It’s made with seafood broth, so it has an elegant flavor. Next, we’ll have Bara-chirashi. It’s a mix of egg, cucumber, tuna, salmon,
and salmon roe combined with vinegared rice. It’s enjoyable because you can taste various textures
all at once. Next, we’ll enjoy another dish using sashimi. After serving warm vinegared rice, place seafood on top. A luxurious seafood bowl is ready. It’s delicious and of the same quality as the seafood bowls
you would eat at Tsukiji. It’s nice to be able to eat the way you like. Finally, we’ll introduce a highly recommended dessert. It’s a bite-sized dorayaki. The combination of matcha cream
and sweet red bean paste is perfect. This store opens at 9 AM, and the last admission is at 3 PM. It’s such a popular place with long lines, so if you go during lunchtime,
you will have to wait quite a bit to get in. When we went on a weekday,
the waiting time was already an hour and a half by noon. By the way, the tuna cutting show starts at 11 AM. On Wednesdays, Sundays, and public holidays,
the tuna cutting show isn’t held. So, it’s recommended to come around 10 AM on weekdays,
except for Wednesdays. The tuna cutting show will start around the time
you finish your meal. For now, the reservation site is only available in Japanese
and can’t be used in English. Additionally, you need to enter a Japanese mobile number, so it might be challenging for international travelers
to make a reservation. So, it’s better to go to the restaurant
without making a reservation. The online reservation slots account for about 50%
of the total tables, but there are also many seats available without a reservation. There are 3 types of all-you-can-eat plans. The plan with unlimited soft drinks lasts 70 minutes
and costs 7,480 yen on weekdays and 7,920 yen on weekends and holidays. The plan with unlimited soft drinks
and alcohol lasts 70 minutes and costs 8,580 yen on weekdays
and 9,020 yen on weekends and holidays. The plan with unlimited soft drinks
and alcohol lasts 100 minutes and costs 9,130 yen on weekdays
and 9,570 yen on weekends and holidays. By the way, all-you-can-eat dishes are the same for all plans. If you pay an additional fee, you can enjoy rare parts of tuna, but there are already many types of sashimi,
so you might not need to add them. You can use credit cards and Suica cards for payment. Next to Senkyaku Banrai,
there is a hot spring facility called Manyo-no-yu. You need to pay an admission fee for the hot springs,
but you can take the foot bath on the 8th floor for free. By the way, the water here is hot spring water
brought from Hakone and Yugawara. It’s relaxing to take in the warm foot bath
while enjoying the view of the sea. You can buy a towel for wiping your feet for 200 yen. In front of Shijo-mae Station, there is the Toyosu Market. If you want to see the auctions,
it’s better to go between 5:30 AM and 6:30 AM. By the way, it’s closed on Wednesdays,
Sundays, and public holidays. For your information, teamLab Planets TOKYO
is right in front of Shin-Toyosu Station, which is the next station from here. A new area opened in January 2025,
expanding the site to 1.5 times its original size. It’s currently scheduled to close by the end of 2027,
so we recommend visiting sooner rather than later. Now, we briefly introduce teamLab Borderless,
which opened on February 9, 2024. The nearest station is Kamiyacho Station. It takes about 10 minutes by train from Tokyo Station
and about 20 minutes from Shibuya Station. The closest exit is Exit 5. When you exit the ticket gate,
you’ll see the entrance of Azabudai Hills where teamLab Borderless is located right in front of you. Azabudai Hills is a spacious complex like a city
and was opened on November 24, 2023. It’s very spacious, so be careful not to get lost. The teamLab is located on the basement 1 of Garden Plaza B. It’s recommended to buy tickets on the official website. If you buy tickets through other websites,
you won’t be able to change the date and time. But if you buy through the official website,
you can change the date and time up to 3 times. Prices vary depending on the day and time,
ranging from 3,600 to 5,600 yen. When you purchase tickets, you’ll receive an email with a URL. Even if you purchase tickets for multiple people,
you can enter with a single QR code at the same time. You show it to the staff at the entrance. There are lockers available near the entrance for free,
where you can leave baggage. Strollers and suitcases can be left in this area. We’ll share some points to note. It’s warm inside the facility, so it’s better to leave down jackets
or thick clothes in the lockers. There are some areas with mirrored floors. It’s recommended to wear pants
because skirts might show underwear. You can take photos and videos. But you can’t use selfie sticks and tripods,
so it’s better to leave them in the lockers. It’s recommended to bring your wallet
because there are paid sections within the facility. Once you have left your baggage in the lockers,
download the teamLab app on your smartphone. When you have the app, you can enjoy the art even more. Tap the QR code at the entrance gate to enter. Alright, while viewing the artworks,
we’ll share some tips for enjoying and things to note. First, we’ll explain the differences between teamLab Planets
in Toyosu. To see artworks in teamLab Planets,
it takes about 1 hour and a half to 2 hours. On the other hand, teamLab Borderless changes its artworks
depending on the time and location, so it takes about 3 hours to see everything. Both places have no time limit, but you can’t re-enter. At Planets, you need to be barefoot,
but at Borderless you can enjoy while wearing your shoes. It’s okay to keep your stockings on. Planets is a one-way route, but at Borderless,
you can freely explore the areas. The temperature and aroma of the rooms change
depending on the time and location. By the way, there are no maps. The facility is spacious, so be careful not to get lost,
especially if you’re with small children. You can write illustrations or text on paper with a fish drawing
and project them onto the wall. The drawn illustrations can be made into T-shirts or tin badges. There are places with a limit on the number of people
allowed to enter. Depending on the crowd,
you may have to wait for about 10 minutes to enter. Inside the facility, there are areas where it’s dark,
so watch your step. It’s better to wear comfortable shoes like sneakers. Next, we’ll introduce the facilities inside the venue. Inside, there are restrooms available. There are also seating areas,
so you can enjoy the art for a long time while taking breaks. There are vending machines for drinks,
but they only sell cold water. There is also a free water dispenser available. There is an EN TEA HOUSE where you can enjoy tea and art. The drinks are not free. When using this place, you need to order one drink per person. You can pay not only in cash but also with credit cards
or Suica cards. The day we went, it took about 35 minutes after paying
until we were seated and tea was served. We highly recommend the matcha ice cream and tea set. You can enjoy fantastic and special art
that you can only see here, so it’s worth trying! Next, we’ll introduce recommended spots in the Tsukiji area. If you are coming to Tsukiji by train,
there are 2 stations nearby. If you are coming from Shinjuku station,
Tsukiji shijo station is recommended. The closest exit is Exit A1. If you are coming from Tokyo Station, Ikebukuro Station,
or Shibuya Station, Tsukiji Station is recommended. The closest exit is Exit 1. You can reach Tsukiji from either station
in about a 4-minute walk. Many shops in Tsukiji are closed on Wednesdays, Sundays,
and holidays, so those days are not a good choice for sightseeing. There are many Japanese tourists on Saturdays, so we recommend visiting on Monday, Tuesday,
Thursday, or Friday. By the way, Tsukiji gets crowded around 11 AM,
and many shops close at 2 PM. If you come around 7 AM, when many shops open,
you can enjoy a relaxing meal with fewer crowds. Tsukiji has many small stores
and most of them do not have restrooms. If you need to use the restroom,
Tsukiji Uogashi is recommended. There is a clean restroom on the third floor of this building
and anyone can use it freely. There are also tables and chairs outside on the same floor
for eating and resting. There is a hidden gem about a 10-minute walk
from Tsukiji Market. It’s Caretta Shiodome. Let us introduce the view from the sky restaurant
on the 46th floor of this building. Even if you don’t dine at the restaurant,
you can still go to this floor. You can see Tsukiji, Hamarikyu Gardens, and Odaiba from here. By the way, a multi-purpose stadium is planned to be built
on the vacant land next to Tsukiji. It’s planning to make the seating
and floors movable to accommodate various events such as rugby matches, baseball games, and concerts. It will open in 2032. Tsukiji Honganji Temple is located just outside Exit 1
of Tsukiji Station. This temple has over 400 years of history
and you can enter for free. There is a café, so it’s recommended to take a break. The main hall is also popular as a photo spot. Now, we introduce 28 recommended shops in Tsukiji. Some of the shops introduced previously are included, but we’ll share the latest information such as prices,

from Shimbashi Station to Shijo-mae Station. The hotel is just a 1-minute walk from Shijo-mae Station. The total travel time from Tokyo Station is about 40 minutes. Now, let’s head inside the hotel. The lobby has high ceilings and is quite spacious. There are plenty of sofas and tables,
so you can comfortably wait even if check-in is busy. There is a currency exchange machine in the lobby. You can check in at the counter,
but using the machine makes it faster and easier. The lobby offers a welcome drink. It changes depending on the season,
but it was summer when we visited, so they were offering sports drinks. By the way, from 6 AM to 9 AM, a different drink is available. Near the welcome drink area, you’ll find amenities. There are toothbrushes in the room,
but you’ll need to pick up any other amenities from here. Next to the amenities, there are instant coffee and tea bags. You can take as much as you like to your room. In addition to drinks, you can also get candy, salami,
and yokan for free. Yokan is a sweet Japanese confection
made from adzuki beans and goes perfectly with green tea. Further along in the lobby,
there are sofa seats with a view of the sea. You can also go out to the terrace to enjoy drinks and meals. Now, let’s head to the room by taking the elevator. The elevator walls are mostly glass. The view is great, but the inside of the elevator
gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter. We have arrived on the 12th floor. Our room is 1220. There are double rooms available at this hotel,
but we’re staying in a twin room this time. It’s the most affordable room,
but it’s spacious and clean. The room is very stylish. The bed is just the right softness and very comfortable. There are outlets and USB ports by the bedside. You can also watch international channels on the TV. You can check the availability of the washing machines
and dryers on this TV. You can also check how crowded the public bath is. The Wi-Fi speed was good enough to stream videos smoothly. There are glasses and mugs,
and also an electric kettle in the room. The fridge is in the cabinet next to the safe. The fridge includes bottled water for all guests
and has a freezer compartment. It’s nice that there is a deodorizing spray available. There are 2 types of slippers:
one for the room and one for use around the hotel. The air purifier also has a humidifying function. The loungewear is a two-piece set with a long-sleeve top
and long pants. By the way, you can wear slippers
and loungewear to the public bath and breakfast area. There are also many items you can borrow for free. Let’s check out the sink and bathroom. The sink isn’t very large, but it’s clean. There is also a hairdryer available. The bathroom is spacious. The bath and toilet are separate,
which makes it convenient to use. The toilet has a bidet function. If you’re staying for consecutive nights,
you can have your room cleaned and towels replaced. There are vending machines on 6 floors,
with alcohol available on 4 of those floors. On the 12th floor,
there is a vending machine with cup noodles and snacks. Microwaves are available on 5 floors. Coffee machines and ice makers are also available
on 5 floors and you can use them for free. For more information on other services and room amenities,
check out the official website. The link is in the description box. Now, let’s head to the 14th floor with your towel,
where the public bath is located. The 14th floor has various facilities,
but first, let’s introduce the public bath. The bath has glass walls,
so you can enjoy a panoramic view of Tokyo. It’s not just hot water; it’s a hot spring, so you can really relax. The night view is particularly beautiful. There is also an open-air bath. The public bath is open from 3 PM to 10 AM. You can use it as many times as you like within these hours. By the way, there are washing machines
and dryers in the changing room. There are 3 units available for women
and 7 units available for men. The washing machine is free to use,
but using the dryer costs 100 yen for 20 minutes. After your bath,
you should go to the lounge area on the same floor. You can enjoy free ice cream until midnight. There are 3 flavors of bite-sized ice cream:
vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate. It’s not too sweet, and the aftertaste is light. There are also 4 flavors of ice cream bars:
grape, orange, muscat, and apple. The grape flavor was particularly delicious, so give it a try! By the way, you can get free drinks in the morning
at this lounge area. On the day we stayed, they offered peach vinegar drinks. On the 14th floor,
there is a SKY BAR right in front of the elevators. It’s open from 5 PM to 4 AM, so you can enjoy drinks
while taking in the night view. There is an indoor pool as well. It’s open from 3 PM to 10 PM. You can use it for 2,200 yen per person. There is a gym located right near the pool. It’s open 24 hours a day
and costs 250 yen for every 15 minutes. You can use a massage chair for free. At this hotel, you can choose
whether to include dinner with your stay. Dinner at the restaurant on the 2nd floor is 5,500 yen
per person. There are also a Japanese restaurant
and a café inside the hotel. At this hotel, you can enjoy free ramen
from 10 PM to 11:30 PM. It was crowded around 10 PM,
but it was less crowded around 10:40 PM. The ramen is cooked to order, so you can enjoy it hot. You can add your own favorite toppings. The soy sauce ramen is ready! This time, we added chashu pork with green onions,
bamboo shoots, and seaweed. It has a nice aroma of soy sauce. The fat from the chashu pork and the subtle spiciness
of the green onions enhance the flavor of the ramen. Ramen tastes even better with a night view! At this hotel, you can choose
whether to include breakfast with your stay. If you include breakfast, you can enjoy a breakfast buffet
on the 2nd floor where you had ramen. If you choose not to have breakfast at the hotel,
it’s a good idea to have breakfast at Toyosu Market. It takes about a 5-minute walk. Restaurants open early in the morning,
and most of them are open by around 7 AM. It’s nice to have fresh seafood bowls and sushi in the morning. If you want to see the auctions,
it’s better to go between 5:30 AM and 6:30 AM. By the way, it’s closed on Wednesdays,
Sundays, and public holidays. Many of the restaurants inside Toyosu Market
close around 2 PM, just like those at Tsukiji, so keep that in mind. If you prefer a quick breakfast,
we recommend getting something from the 7-Eleven right in front of the hotel entrance. It’s open from 7 AM to 11 PM. We’ll briefly introduce the top 5 rice balls at 7-Eleven. In 5th place is the Wasabi Onigiri. The rice is cooked with soy sauce and dashi,
which gives it a nice aroma. Inside, there is wasabi. The spiciness of the wasabi
enhances the sweet flavor of the dashi-seasoned rice. In 4th place is the egg yolk onigiri. It’s not wrapped in seaweed,
and you can taste the sweetness of the rice. Inside, there is a rich egg yolk seasoned with soy sauce
and dashi. It’s creamy and delicious. In 3rd place is the Pork Sausage Onigiri. The teriyaki-flavored sausage is rich and fatty. Inside, there is garlic mayonnaise. If you like rich flavors, this onigiri is perfect for you. In 2nd place is the ground beef onigiri. It’s a collaboration item with a restaurant in Kyoto
that has a history of over 200 years. Inside, you’ll find ground beef seasoned with soy sauce. The flavor is rich, but the ginger gives it a refreshing aftertaste. In 1st place is the Tuna Mayo Onigiri. It has been the top favorite for over 10 years. It’s filled with plenty of tuna mayonnaise. It’s really delicious no matter how many times you try it. Next, we’ll introduce the breakfast buffet at this hotel. Breakfast is served from 6 AM to 9:30 AM. If you go at 6 AM, you can get a seat by the window
and enjoy your meal with a view of the sea. But it gets crowded around 6 AM,
so if you want to avoid the crowds, it’s better to go around 6:30 AM. By the way, it was also crowded around 7:30 AM
on the day we went. The buffet has nearly 100 different dishes. There are so many dishes
that it’s impossible to try them all in just one stay. Toyosu Market is nearby, so you can enjoy
a wide variety of dishes made with fresh seafood. It’s rare to find a breakfast buffet this luxurious! Now, we’ll briefly introduce some recommended dishes. This is sukiyaki made with beef. It’s seasoned with a slightly sweet soy sauce
and has just the right amount of fat. Next is niku-jaga. The potatoes are simmered in a soy sauce-based broth,
giving them great flavor. The curry has a rich flavor, similar to demi-glace sauce. It has a mild and fruity flavor. You can toast the bread in the toaster oven to enjoy it warm. The pain au chocolat is not too sweet
and has a perfectly balanced flavor. The croissant has a rich buttery flavor. The soba noodles have a perfect texture
and a pleasant aroma from the dashi. The roast beef is cut thick and is juicy. The grilled salmon has just the right amount of fat. The tempura is crispy because it’s freshly fried. The yakisoba has a rich seafood flavor. The fish has a pleasant herb aroma. The pizza is topped with conger eel
and flavored with a Japanese-style seasoning. We also recommend trying the Onsen-tamago,
which is a soft-boiled egg drizzled with dashi. The pudding has a rich egg flavor,
and the subtle bitterness of caramel enhances it. The most popular dish is the make-your-own seafood bowl. You can also add as much salmon roe as you like. This time, we topped the rice with salmon,
sea bream, tuna, shrimp, and salmon roe. The sashimi is fresh, so it’s incredibly delicious. Adding various sashimi is great,
but we also recommend trying it with just plenty of salmon roe. The seafood bowl with so much salmon roe
that you can’t even see the rice is really luxurious. It’s amazing to have such a luxurious meal in the morning! Finally, we’ll explain how to book the hotel and the pricing. The twin room we stayed in was 27,800 yen for 2 adults,
including breakfast. It’s recommended to book through the official website. You can get a better rate than on hotel comparison sites. Toyosu, where this hotel is located,
isn’t as well-connected as Shibuya or Tokyo Station, so it might be a bit inconvenient
as a base for sightseeing in Tokyo. It’s recommended to stay here for a night on the first
or last day of your Tokyo trip, and enjoy the beautiful night views and luxurious breakfast.

Hello my friends, another great vídeo to enjoy in my home in Brazil, i know that this question is little bit unpleasable, but i need to know, is that true that Japanese people are becoming more hostile with foreign tourists?
100% good food should sell it self!!!
I never been to toyosu yet feels too touristy I feel !!!
Still love the old charm of tukiji the O.G
Nice info!!👍🏻
Finally a new video from your wonderful channel ! I have been missing you.
In my first trips to Japan, having breakfast at Tsukiji was always great for me. But the last time we went, it was so extremely busy, with long queues almost everywhere, that we didnt enjoy it anymore. I dont wish to stay in line for at least 30 minutes to get a piece of tamagoyaki 😞. We havent returned since, and also havent been to toyosu. There is so much else to see and do in Tokyo, and toyosu just didnt seem that appealing. But maybe we are wrong, and should go there soon.
Thank you so much for your content. My family will be visiting next week and your videos have been valuable to our planning.

Very good tips. Enjoyed watching.
Thank you for the in-depth guide of the Tokyo fish markets~ I regret not going to the old Tsukiji market before the new changes and all..
What are the healthiest foods from Tsukiji Fish Market that I can eat for either breakfast or lunch?
Love your videos. Some places in Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai only have around 3 stars and low number of reviews though but will still check them out. Tsukiji recommendation is on point-the beef bowl place is the best beef bowl I ever had, Takashin Suisan have very good fatty tuna for under $10, and that Onigari place is top notch-love their tuna roll and salmon roe onigari.
