【築地場外市場】ダメ!『行ってはいけない日』と『良心価格のランチ』初心者安心🔰ガイドブックにないリアル情報
That’s how it ends up. Hello everyone. Hello. I’m Tsukiji Mom. I worked as a Tsukiji broker for nearly 25 years. I’m a former Tsukiji girl. So, to help those of you heading to Tsukiji Outer Market today, I’d like to share with you some days of the week you should avoid if possible. To sum up, Wednesdays and Sundays are the best days to visit Tsukiji Outer Market. I’ll also share what the market looks like on Wednesdays and Sundays . The market is a great place to eat cheap, delicious food, even if it’s not at tourist prices . I’d like to introduce some recommended lunch spots in Tsukiji Outer Market. I think many people start their tour of Tsukiji Outer Market here. This is the intersection of Tsukiji 4-chome [Music] , the entrance to Monzeki Street. The impressive sign for the Outer Market is a landmark, but it starts from here. Standing restaurant Okame serves sushi for just 500 yen, making it a great place to casually enjoy delicious sushi. I discovered they offer a student discount. [Music] And next door is Mata Koi-ya. How many years has this place been around? It’s the restaurant that Jiro or Goro visited on the TV drama “Solitary Gourmet.” It ‘s a delicious tuna specialty restaurant, where you can try rare cuts of tuna and enjoy a wonderful rare bowl. You buy a ticket at the entrance, so it’s easy to get in. And if you go down a side street, you’ll find Miyake Suisan. This is a fishmonger, and I highly recommend it for its delicious fish you can eat on the spot. They also serve fish stock soup, which is great in the winter. You can eat freshly filleted sashimi on the spot . Next door, they also do grilled dishes, and pacific saury is a good choice right now. This year’s pacific saury was excellent. It’s almost over, but you can still have seasonal fish grilled like this, so I highly recommend stopping by Miyake Suisan. [Music] And now we’re back on Monzeki Street. Fruits like melons are popular with foreigners these days. This is Soratsuki. They sell strawberry daifuku, and their shop used to be just behind the main street, but they’ve expanded here and become this huge shop. It’s beautiful … they have a wide variety of colorful daifuku lined up, and while there are a lot of shops on Monseki Street, Tonbo-ya’s tuna skewers are delicious. The shutters here are often closed , especially on Wednesdays and Sundays. Why are so many shops shuttered? The answer is, unlike the shops in Tsukiji Outer Market, there ‘s a Toyosu Market market calendar . Every year, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government decides the opening and closing days and releases them all. Many shops close on Toyosu Market’s closing days . Since Toyosu Market is closed on Wednesdays and Sundays, many shops are closed on Wednesdays in accordance with the calendar . If you’re looking to fully enjoy Tsukiji Outer Market and try everything, you’ll be disappointed to see so many shutters, so I don’t recommend it. That’s why I came across Namiyoke Street. Marutoyo, famous for its tuna seaweed rolls, and this rice ball shop are closed on Wednesdays and Sundays, so please be aware of this. Even so, there were quite a few tourists, almost all of them foreigners, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s Senshagaku Building, a very convenient facility, has coin lockers, restrooms, and a row of shops run by wholesalers . They’re closed on Wednesdays, so it’s better to stay open. If you’re going all the way there, please be aware of this. Still, not all the shops in Tsukiji Outer Market are closed; about half are open. So, while there are still quite a few tourists, the bustling shops are bustling. The foreigners are amazing. I think it truly has a tremendous economic impact. Having these people come and dine in Japan is a blessing, and we welcome them . So, um, there are some relatively inexpensive restaurants open on Sundays and Wednesdays that cater to tourists. Kiyomura and Sushi Zanmai serve sushi , and there are also grilled dishes. Sushi Zanmai’s restaurant has very reasonable prices, and Kiyomura’s is a seafood grill restaurant. Their grilled squid here is absolutely beautiful and reasonably priced, so I highly recommend it. I went there on Wednesdays, too. It’s not just Wednesdays, it’s also recommended on other days, so please do. The bluefin tuna at Sushi Zanmai is delicious, and this grilled squid is delicious. There’s a lot of squid coming up this year, so please enjoy some delicious squid. This is what Tsukiji looked like around 1 p.m. on a Wednesday. I’ll walk a little further. I’m walking down Namiyoke Street right now, and there’s a huge line of foreigners waiting to buy octopus rice crackers. There are several videos of them going viral on social media . Octopus rice crackers are popular with foreigners, too. If you continue along Namiyoke Street toward Namiyoke Shrine, you’ll see this spot. This is my absolute favorite spot, an essential stop for sightseeing in the Tsukiji Outer Market. When it’s open, it ‘s incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. There’s even a rooftop BBQ spot at the back of this overpass, where you can grill and eat the seafood you buy there. Please stop by. On the first floor, you’ll find Tsukiji’s wholesalers. Rows of Toyosu Market wholesalers line the streets, offering incredibly cheap prices and friendly staff, making it a truly great shopping experience. The opening hours here generally follow the wholesale market calendar, so I’ve included a link to a blog where you can see the calendar. I’ve made it easy to understand, so please click here and take a screenshot. Now, let’s move on to my recommended lunch spot. It’s “Kano” on Monzeki Street. It’s not exactly a cheap market, after all, but when you visit Tsukiji, you want to leave with delicious, affordable food. Kanno offers reasonable prices and is open 365 days a year. It’s truly a wonderful place. The limited-edition nakaochi donburi (small tuna bowl) is already sold out. [Music] The menu is beautifully decorated with lots of photos with prices, making choosing from the menu fun. Once inside, the restaurant is spacious and has plenty of seating. There are many Japanese customers, as expected. Today, I ordered the tuna bowl for 800 yen for takeout. There are many other recommendations. Kanno’s interior is also great. It really has a market feel, and although the chaotic atmosphere is gone, it has a nostalgic atmosphere, like eating in a restaurant inside the Tsukiji Market. The ladies who work there are quick, kind, and considerate, making it a truly wonderful restaurant. I recommend Kanno to everyone. [Music] [Music] This 1,500 yen Kanno three-item donburi (rice bowl). I highly recommend it, and I always tell my friends about it. You can customize it however you like, and I tell my friends that it’s more economical not to customize it in a weird way, but, um, by all means, do it however you like. [Music] Um, the rice is warm, so it’s separated from the toppings. Thank you. There’s ice in it. Oh, sorry. Thank you. So kind. Thank you. Thank you. So, I can eat this, right? If it’s open. What should I do? They put it in separately. This is the rice. Okay. They put it in separately because the rice is warm. Okay. Wow, the vinegared rice smells good. It smells good. It even has seaweed on it. A tuna bowl for 800 yen, with wasabi and soy sauce. She said she added ice too. The mom was so kind to add ice too. Wow, that’s enough. This is all you can eat for 800 yen at Kanno’s weekday lunch. Looks delicious . Anyway, due to time constraints, I got takeout this time, so I arranged the bowl myself here. After this, I slowly enjoyed it, The red meat was sticky. It was delicious tuna. There was plenty of rice, so I was very satisfied. Thank you for watching until the end today. I hope to see you all again in the next video. Until next time. Bye-bye.
