第10回記念!水戸黄門漫遊マラソンで自己ベスト更新してきた!

I’ll be participating in the 10th Anniversary ✨Mito Komon Man’yu Marathon! I’ve been wanting to get an “Inro Medal” for a while now 🏅 and this time it’s a commemorative design! My bib was sent to me in advance, and it even came with a cute bib clasp! The “Machinaka Food Festival” is also being held the day before 🍶🍢 I actually wanted to stay the night before to enjoy it, but… hotels are already fully booked and expensive 💦 So this time I’m staying the night before in Matsudo, Chiba Prefecture! I’ve secured a women-only guesthouse ✨ for just 2,200 yen per night! It’s also possible to do a day trip from the city center, and the entry fee is a great deal, under 10,000 yen ♪ Incidentally, the “Marathon Train” is also running on the day of the race 🚃, but by the time I realized it, it was full 😅 Early reservations are key when going on a marathon! I arrived at Matsudo Station and bought a poncho at Daiso. I’ve arrived at Kawanoso. Yes, I’ve arrived at the guesthouse. It feels really fresh. I’m getting ready for tomorrow . There are quite a few foreign guests staying there, and the owner seems to be from overseas as well, but he showed me around carefully. The inside is also very clean and tidy, and it looks like I’ll be able to stay comfortably. This is cute . No matter how many times I try to attach this bib number, I’ve never been able to do it the first time. Now I’m off to eat. I’m going to an udon restaurant as usual. Good morning. I’ll have breakfast. I’ll have two rice balls as usual. It was a normal three-story house, so I felt like I was visiting a relative and had a relaxing time. Now I’m heading to Matsudo Station by train. I got a seat ✌️ This is my first time in Mito! Everyone’s taking commemorative photos ☺️ The rain has stopped! 🙌 I bought a Saurus set, and there was something called Elite inside, so I’d like to drink it. I’ve just left my luggage at the check-in counter. I’ll have a drink of the distributed drinks and then head to line up for the start! I just put on my poncho. I got ready at the Keisei Hotel . A mom who’s completed the Mito Komon race nine times came up to chat with me. Apparently , the long farm road is a pain. lol I’m always late getting ready, so I always end up arriving at the start just in time. I was getting nervous. 10 minutes before the start, I probably didn’t need my poncho. I started right away. I have n’t warmed up much, but I’m keeping under a 6-minute 1km pace. I finished in 5’47. My legs aren’t numb today, the temperature is stable, and there’s no wind. I feel like the conditions are great! I’ll keep going at my own pace! This area is mostly downhill. I went down a little at the beginning, then up a little, and now it’s flat. I wonder if it’s going to stay straight. I met Haruka-chan. 😊 I noticed the slide. This race has a capacity of 10,000 people. It was 20,000 at the Hokkaido Marathon, so it was a completely different crowd. The water stations were incredibly easy to get. Barley tea! Early on, I slid with some rare sub-3.5 runners. I took a gel around here. ⚠️ Be careful at the turnaround point. I passed the 13.5km mark. I’m a little faster than expected, but I feel like I’m in the rhythm, so I think I’ll keep going. My water supply clogged up a bit, but I managed to get a donut. 🙌🍩 Donut clogged… About 5 minutes 49 seconds, I think. I’ll climb a little from here. I’ll have to be patient. On the climbs, I’ll lose about 10-20 seconds, so I guess I’ll just have to make up for it on the descent. Thank you. I got some dried sweet potatoes. Someone was waving at me from his wheelchair. That’s nostalgic music! I feel like I’m running well. Now I’m sliding with the sub-4 group. I still have to climb from here. It’s tough. I have to go down, turn around, and climb again. I turned around. My watch shows 2 hours 3 minutes into the half marathon. Many people started walking, so it was surprisingly difficult to get water. I took my third gel. What’s this? I don’t really know, but I received a drumstick. It was so much fun. 😆 Maybe it’s because it’s the 10th anniversary event?! I’ve managed to keep the 30km under 6 minutes, so I want to keep going! Just knowing that I need to endure every minute on the slopes helps me push through. It was difficult to get water because there was no gap, but I managed to get some salted yokan! I’m so glad I practiced going downhill! Suke-san and Katsu-san were there, their legs just would n’t stop ! I couldn’t get the natto. Going around Lake Senba was surprisingly tough… I just thought of it as a lap around my house and took it easy! I ‘d like to join them next year . The tunnel is here! This is the last one! I want to finish under 4 hours 4 minutes and 4 hours 10 minutes! Akemi Masuda! She was waiting for me at the finish line, which made me so happy! I’m so happy 🙌 The slopes were tough at the end, but I was so happy to see Masuda-san. Also, the fatigue gradually faded away in the second half of the tunnel just before the finish line , and her cheering really encouraged me. My pace slowed down after 35km, which I think is an issue, so I’m glad I was able to beat my personal best 🙌 Yay, a commemorative medal! I wonder if it’s a commemorative medal for the 10th anniversary? I got some soy sauce and a drink. I didn’t know it was okay to receive so much ! Thank you so much! It’s amazing! I got so many souvenirs and I’m back! Ca n’t you see this crest?! 🥇 I managed to get it safely . Well, my time is 4 hours, 10 minutes, and 54 seconds. I would have liked to have gotten under 10 minutes, and even more so, under 4 hours, but I think I was able to show the strength I have now. The last climb was tough, but I managed to get to the top without walking , so I think I did my best. Overall, the weather and conditions were good, but I owe it all to the change of shoes! Thanks to Nike! I’m sure these shoes helped me get into the rhythm, so I ‘m glad! Next up, I’ll be running the full Yamaguchi Prefecture Shimonoseki Kaikyo Marathon again next week. I’m still deciding what settings I’ll use , but I’d appreciate your support. Thank you for watching! See you in the next video.
