ふらっと出かけた場所を紹介しようと思います。
2025年5月に栃木県日光市にある「日光東照宮」に行きました。

日光東照宮

「日光東照宮」は徳川家康公が祀られた神社で、現在の社殿群は、そのほとんどが1636（寛永13）年、３代将軍家光公による「寛永の大造替」で建て替えられたものです。
境内には国宝８棟、重要文化財34棟を含む55棟の建造物が並び、その豪華絢爛な美しさは圧巻です。
全国各地から集められた名工により、建物には漆や極彩色がほどこされ、柱などには数多くの彫刻が飾られています。
「眠り猫」の先にある家康公の墓所の奥宮に向かう道、東照宮から日光二荒山神社へ向かう参道など、強力なパワースポットが数ヶ所あると言われ、人気があります。
「日光の社寺」は、二社一寺とも称され、日光東照宮の他、日光二荒山神社（別宮本宮神社、別宮滝尾神社を含む）、日光山輪王寺（大猷院霊廟を含む）があります。

拝観時間：４月～10月／9:00?17:00、11月～3月／9:00～16:00
料金：大人・高校生1,600円　小・中学生550円

I would like to introduce some places I went to on a whim.

In May 2025, I went to Nikko Toshogu Shrine in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture.

Nikko Toshogu Shrine

Nikko Toshogu Shrine is a shrine where Tokugawa Ieyasu is enshrined, and most of the current shrine buildings were rebuilt in 1636 (Kan’ei 13) during the “Kan’ei Great Reconstruction” by the third shogun, Iemitsu.

The grounds are lined with 55 buildings, including 8 national treasures and 34 important cultural properties, and their gorgeous beauty is overwhelming.

The buildings are lacquered and painted with brilliant colors by master craftsmen gathered from all over the country, and the pillars are decorated with numerous carvings.

It is said to have several powerful power spots, such as the road to the inner shrine of Ieyasu’s grave beyond the “Sleeping Cat” and the approach from Toshogu Shrine to Nikko Futarasan Shrine, and is popular.
The “Shrines and Temples of Nikko” are also known as “Two Shrines and One Temple” and include Nikko Toshogu Shrine, Nikko Futarasan Shrine (including the Betsumiya Hongu Shrine and Betsumiya Takio Shrine), and Nikkozan Rinno-ji Temple (including the Taiyuin Mausoleum).

Visiting hours: April to October 9:00-17:00, November to March 9:00-16:00

Fees: 1,600 yen for adults and high school students, 550 yen for elementary and junior high school students
