【関西】絶対に見るべき「秋の穴場の絶景5選」

Hello, this is Ikenoueno. This time, I’d like to introduce some hidden autumn spots within a two-hour drive from Osaka. I recommend visiting between mid-November and early December! Our first spot is about an hour and 20 minutes from Osaka. It ‘s a hidden gem near Kogenji Temple, a famous spot for viewing autumn leaves in Tamba City, Hyogo Prefecture. Of course, Kogenji Temple is also a recommended autumn spot! It’s about a 10-minute walk from Kogenji Temple to this hidden gem. The scenery along the way is also amazing! Once here, there are hardly any tourists around. Beyond the door at the back , the atmosphere is completely different. A quiet shrine nestles quietly in the shadows of Kogenji Temple. A mysterious approach continues behind this Inari shrine. The torii gate looks like a portal to another world. The fantastical moss-covered approach stretches on and on. There’s a torii gate, but the main shrine building is not visible. The shrine’s founding is unknown, and it’s shrouded in mystery. Finally, the main shrine building comes into view. It truly feels like I’ve entered another world. The crisp air naturally lifts your spirits. A hidden gem , the tranquility of this spot soothes the soul. Located an hour and 20 minutes from Osaka, Nyu Sakadono Shrine in Wakayama Prefecture features a strikingly large ginkgo tree . Over 300 years old, it boasts a trunk circumference of 526cm, a height of 25m, and a branch spread of 20m. The grounds are soothed by the sight of this magnificent tree on a refreshing morning. In late autumn, the entire grounds are bathed in a vibrant yellow hue with fallen leaves. The illuminations are also a must-see. The large ginkgo tree floats in the pitch-black darkness, towering high above the quiet town. Its appearance is sure to stop anyone in their tracks. It’s truly mystical. This is a local recreational spot. When the illuminations begin, families flock in. Located an hour and 20 minutes from Osaka, this power spot is located in Uda City, Nara Prefecture. Muro Ryuketsu Shrine, where legend of the dragon god remains, is a cave said to be the dragon god’s dwelling. A power spot known only to those in the know. This mysterious waterfall, Shoubaku, is a sacred place where rain-making rituals have been performed since ancient times. Mt. Muro’s waters are the source of the Yodo River and other rivers. Beyond the place of worship is a large hole. It’s called the “Myo-Kichijo Ryuketsu,” said to be the dwelling place of the dragon god. It is the sacred object of worship. The waterfall’s flowing through the monolith is mystical. Located about 1 hour and 40 minutes from Osaka, this hidden driving spot is perfect for autumn. The valleys towering on both banks of the Shorenji River offer a spectacular driving route you wouldn’t expect to find in the Kinki region. With only two parking lots, this is a place more suited to driving than strolling. The rock face is incredible. The rock walls, with columnar joints that look as if they were split with an axe, stretch for about 8 kilometers. The road continues upstream from Lake Shorenji to Soni Village. The final spot is located upstream in Soni Village. Located about an hour and 50 minutes from Osaka, this natural park in Soni Village, Nara Prefecture, offers a truly spectacular autumn sunset. At an elevation of 700 meters, Byobu Rock towers over the park. Due to its high elevation, the view from here is truly breathtaking. Hayataka Shrine sits serenely. Behind it is Byobu Rock. Pampas grass sways golden in the setting sun. Beyond that, the autumn mountains stretch out in a tranquil fashion. This massive rock face, located on the west side of Mt. Kabuto, was named Byobu Rock for its appearance resembling a standing folding screen. Surprisingly, the cliffs stretch for 2 kilometers, reaching approximately 200 meters in height. It’s a spectacular sight, hard to imagine in the Kansai region. The vertical, columnar jointed rock walls are simply breathtaking. In this mystical space, the only sound you can hear is the sound of footsteps stomping through the grass. The setting sun bathes the massive rock face in a deep red. With almost no tourists around, we had the spectacular view all to ourselves. Thank you for watching until the end. I would be grateful if you could support me by clicking the Good button .
